One thing I’d like to suggest - if something comes from the previews or future episode descriptions, it would be appreciated if you spoiler boxed it. Those things are put together by marketing people, and not the writers, and can give away things we’d rather know when the writer/editor wanted to, not the marketing team.

I have never watched an episode “real-time” on HBO now. Do I just refresh my browser in a few minutes and the new episode shows up in the same place as all the prior episodes?

Yes. It is usually there promptly at 9.

So Qyburn’s spies found the caches of wildfire underneath the city?

I’m bored with Arya and Dany.

I was hoping this would be a bigger episode, but it was another move it along type. Loved the mountain though.

The mountain and the brotherhood scenes were great. But if the brotherhood didn’t turn heel won’t they be pissed about the other five guys he dropped to find them?

Wasn’t the bald guy one that originally rode up with yellowcloak?

I can’t honestly remember, but i figured the three they were going to hang were the three that did the killing. That did seem like too big a slaughter for three men I guess.

You mean the first group of guys the Hound killed? There were four, and the two older ones were in the first group of three Brotherhood guys who asked Brother Ray’s band for food. So they would have been in on the massacre too.

Arya’s storyline was rather a disappointment, considering it depended on both she and the Waif being major fuckups. But at least she’s finally back on her way into the main story.

The Blackfish/Riverrun storyline also turned out to be a major anticlimax.

No, only the middle guy with the beard was with the initial group. It was rather confusing to re-introduce them piecemeal (so to speak) like that.

I was hoping for more with Blackfish. Walder Frey still needs to get what he deserves. Maybe once the Lannister army leaves Edmure will man up and wipe out the Freys.

Holding him in the wings for several seasons only to have him die off screen (apparently) seems like a waste of such a character. (On the other hand, off screen deaths have a way of being unreliable.)

With what?

It was unclear whether Edmure was given the same deal that Brienne aksed for, but it seems unlikely since the Tully men were shown surrendering their arms.

So it appears all those crazy theories about Arya/The Waif/Jaqen were wrong and what we saw last week with the Waif stabbing Arya was all pretty straightforward.

To be fair i think the theory that Arya was going to get over her multiple gut stab wounds with a bandage and some soup then take the waif one on one was about the least likely one.

Anyone get a Terminator vibe from teh Waif?

This was a bit of a snoozer episode. The plot progressed in many ways but not in any that was particularly interesting. A bunch of Deus Ex Machinas with Arya, Riverrun and Dany.

The whole plot line of the nameless god seems pointless. Worse than that it was logically incoherent and boring for most of the story.

At least the idea that her blindness training was going to pay off panned out.

I think that Qyburn’s spies found Tyrion’s location. With Varys gone from King’s Landing, the intelligence apparatus was also in shambles. That explains why the most famous dwarf in Westoros was able to spend so much time in Mereen without Cersei finding him. Cersei must have put Qyburn to work on the spy network with Tyrion in mind. With her trial growing closer with no way to dodge it or influence Tommen, I think she’s going to skip town to go after Tyrion. There’s nothing left for her in King’s Landing, after all.

Perhaps she can become an assassin to go after him. Follow some sort of anonymous mulit faced god.

I haven’t watched the episode yet, but I’m glad to hear the tinfoilers have been silenced. (Of course, I’m sure they’ll keep coming up with even more tinfoily stuff as it goes)

True.

I think so too. Now that Cersei’s not getting her trial by combat she’s as good as dead. Margaery better act soon if she wants to save Loras. Hopefully the Festival of the Mother is going happen this season.

I was hoping the ships they thought were an invasion were the Iron Isles arriving.

Yeah that Waif chase was definitely a la Terminator.

The Scene with Tyrion drinking and joking with the others was very cute.

Glad my confusion about those thugs being part of the Brotherhood was a plot point.

I agree that what the new Spy Master was referring to was finding Tyrion.
