My theory about all this. As Number Six, the individual was a rather humdrum poster, who went under the radar of most people here. (If he wasn’t so humdrum, ask yourself if it would have taken so long to unmask him?) As Kaitlyn, he gained a cult following, safe in the knowledge that as a transsexual, “he” (allowed now?) could get away with virtually anything, including going on about lingerie the whole time.
One up to paul, I say. He may be angry, he may be berserk, he may even have friends in real life, but he knew something was up. He has been in the van of the fight against ignorance. Well done, young man, or as **pau ** himself might say, “fucking brilliant!”
And one more confession, since it seems fitting. I am not Roger Thornhill. Neither did I really appear in a film with Eve Kendall. I never really fought on Mount Rushmore. Indeed, Mount Rushmore has asked me on his behalf to fess up and come clean that he wasn’t really Mount Rushmore either. Eh, it’s not betrayal as much as frustration. It just makes it easy for someone to come in and say that everything said in this thread was completely invalid. Life’s about discovering who the genuine people are and who the non-genuine people are. Sometimes we are surprised by who turns out to be genuine and who doesn’t. “I am the way, I am reality, I am life”.
I’m not saying transsexuals may legitimately be the target of discrimination. I’m not saying paulberserker is a brilliant bloke. What I am saying is that paul sensed that something was amiss and went for the jugular. As for whether he really is someone who discriminates against transsexuals, or would do if he got the chance, I have no idea.
Knowledge is not the only antidote to ignorance. Neither in my opinion is it the best. Insight, wisdom, understanding are also important. We are human beings, not computers, for a reason.

I disagree. Some one admits to lying for months about specific details about their personna? We don’t know anything about anyone here except what they post. No one has to post specificcs about themselves (gender, race, age, details about their private lives) Some of us choose to not post much detail but when some one decides to post specific details, then admit to posting lies for months on end, we know that they are a liar. and that’s sufficient to me. What I do specifically wonder about, though is why in this case, there isn’t at least a temporary suspension of posting priveleges while stuff gets sorted out.

I showed the photo of the so-called Hong Kong actress to girls in the office, and the said she was a Japanese singer. One of them came back to me with a slip of paper bearing the woman’s name. I did a search and came across the Mrs Six photo on about the fifth fan-thread I tried.

My own mental picture of Kaitlyn was always coloured by an interaction I had with her (now I’m switching to “him”) when he was Number Six. He responded rather bizarrely when I made a joke based on his name (which he shared with the eponymous hero of the 1960s TV show The Prisoner).

No, only joking, there was a problem when I transitioned from Guest to Chartered Member, and I solved this by changing my name, after having informed the Admin of the problem.

I’m leaving this thread open because Dopers have a legitimate right to discuss the posting behavior in question. Posts don’t happen in a vacuum, just to use pixels. The point of writing posts in the first place is for other people to read them.
As has been explained earlier and elsewhere, bannings and suspensions don’t happen without review by several people. We don’t even have enough staff on-line right now, much less with enough time to have waded through all this.

the post that proved the lies occured some 8 hours ago, and the poster who made that post has been banned. So at least for that poster, there was sufficient staff to act on it. A temporary suspension while “Stuff was being sorted out” seems like it could have been done then, too.
