Pot roast is in the slow cooker. Cat is in my lap, glaring at me. Not sure why. Perhaps she saw with gasp the dog earlier. This is my freaked out kitty, so it could be anything.
Tomorrow I’m off to the horspital for an infusion to see if we can get my migraine to stop. Fingers and toes crossed.
FAN-DAMN-TASTIC!!! I’m glad it made it safe and sound to a good home. This may come as a surprise but I never quite shipped anything like that and I had my fears. Tell him to wear it proudly and in good health --------- anywhere but the doctor’s office. He wears it there he may just end up with a psych consult.
Nah, the doc used to be a soldier; he went to med school on the GI Bill.
He’s so successful, he’s renovating his office, which means there is a construction worker there…
Commute was bad today. First the bus didn’t come. Then there was an accident on the expressway. I ended up getting in on time instead of the ½ hour early I wanted to, & for whatever reason, everyone else got in early, which meant the garage was full.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffeinated, and purtified even so no YAWN. ‘Tis 71 Amurrkin out, cloudy and breezey with a predicted high of 81 for the day with rain/tstorms/apocalypse predicted for mid-afternoon into the evenin’. We shall see. We’re goin’ to grab a McBrekkie this mornin’ and then I shall head to the extreme southeast forty where I shall spend my mornin’ and hopefully be back in the orifice before this weather front with all the rain/tstorms/apocalypse hits.
OK, I here rumblin’s from the bedroom which indicate OYKW is now officially purtified and we shall be leavin’.
Afternoon, mumpers…and happy Camel day! I am a tired fae today, didn’t sleep very well for all sorts of reasons although I would like to think that watching The Walking Dead was not one of 'em.
Today is less blustery than yesterday but that didn’t stop the train companies from cancelling nearly everything after 8am today. Luckily I squeaked onto the 8am train and made it to irk without any problems with overhead power lines or debris on the lines.
Ruble, the war bonnet looks amazing - it must be very satisfying to know it has found a good home. Anything that long and colourful in my house would have a cat attached to the end of it.
Dindins last night was chicken curry, because I know you have been itching to know that. There are even leftovers for lunch today. And tonight’s dinner will be chilli as that’s relatively quick and easy, then I will be scampering off to the pub.
I can’t believe it’s Hump Day already, time flies when you are busy.
It’s a dark 49 degrees outside, going to get up to 60. Then the cold comes back.
I told Sah-son, leaves today!
There was another fire on my street yesterday although this one was two blocks away. I was napping and Sah-son woke me to tell me that it was non-stop sirens and our street was backed up with traffic.
This time it was a house and people had to be rescued off the porch roof.
Sah-son is worried somebody is setting fires but I doubt it.
Ruble - you just don’t know how thrilled Sah-son is.
Congrats on the raises Butters and Red
Good luck with the dr Sunny
And ftr, I know what gin’jale is, I’m multilingual that way
Started raining about 0400 and according to the weather folks, it’ll be raining for the rest of the day. Glad I have a garage and getting to irk by 0600 I get to park right at the door. We’ll have to see about lunch.
I have just about 9 months to go to my planned retirement date, and the closer it gets, the harder it is to work up any enthusiasm for work. It doesn’t help that the difference between retiring now and in 9 months is not a huge amount, and the difference gets smaller each week. Wouldn’t surprise me if sometime in February I just say “&*^^^% It!” and put in my paperwork.
But first I need to find another job…not for the money but to keep my brain and body moderately active. The good part is that I can be picky and get one that meets my needs (i.e., keep the brain in motion). Will begin perusing the openings…
Up and ready for work way too early to be ready for work. I had to do safety training for some new hires yesterday and today I get to “on the job” train them. This group all look really good and I think its going to be fun.
Dammit - I forgot to throw the baggie of chips in my lunch sack this morning, and I don’t have any cash to get chips from the machine. A sammich without chips is soooooooo boring!!
