Goblins webcomic discussion

I just realised. Kin is going to use EvilKin’s own stinger to stab her.
Calling it!

I have no idea how Minmax is going to get out of that one though.

Apparently Evil-Kin used intelligence as her dump stat. With predictable results.

And speaking of intelligence, MinMax was surprisingly quick off the mark once Kin gave him a hint about the giant room (even if the execution was lacking, as far as we know).

It’s interesting that, barring acquired templates, it seems like Kin!Tlincalli is the only alter that is a different species than the others. Wonder if that signifies anything?

Sorry Tabby Cat, no cigar for you! :stuck_out_tongue:

I think this way is far more appropriate though. A giant constrictors tail that is useless in combat. Yep, sure its useless!

We know her Int is at least 10, since they needed stupid-Minmax’s help to get past the attribute barrier. That could be low Wis, though.

And I think that trying to relate to Kin as a person has helped give Minmax practice in understanding how she talks. Sometimes, it really does pay to be the nice guy.

Minmax is stupid at everything except fighting - which he’s actually very, very good at. In addition to what Chronos said about treating Kin as a person, and being able to pick up on her cues because of it, it also makes sense that he’d pick up more quickly on an idea about how to best win a fight.

Plus it looks like she spilled coffee all over her Sense Motive.

Aww, sweet, Minmax!
'Course, all three of them are still stapled to various walls …

Kin has a pretty strong, fairly prehensile appendage that might work…

Again – pretty quick witted for Minmax!

I think the staples will wear off in a few minutes.

And do you reckon any of their gear will be salvageable? Scorp-Kin had a ring that they’ll presumably be able to loot, but what about the boys? That’s an awful lot of magic rings to pick up, even if they don’t want to use the finger-staff to equip them all.

Come to think of it, that’d be a pretty sweet reward for that dungeon-- A significant chunk of all of the alternate versions’ loot will end up in the hands of the winners, and you’re bound to succeed eventually.

Anybody get the impression that Minmax is picking up some kind of +INT bonus? He’s seemed considerably sharper than usual these last few installments.

Probably Aid Another from Kin giving a +2.

We now return to the Search for the Bloodlight Orb, already in progress…

My question now is: will it be Fox who realizes (and points out) that the Demon gets to get dragged to Hell? Or will Dies do it the next time the Demon brings him back to reprise his demise?

Also: if Fox points it out, will Dies be returned alive to the chamber?

Thunt sure do like to draw the blood, don’t he? Poor Dies.

The orc looked fully alive when he was dashing up that tunnel, but when they got all the way down, there were no physical traces of him. I don’t really know what that implies about Dies in his first reappearance.

Is that green shrieking in the background coming from … Dies’ arm?

This IS quite…uncomfortable, especially since my goblin rogue in WoW is named Dieshorribly. Kind of like watching yourself get eaten…

Is Dies’ arm sentient / have a soul? Does the demon get in trouble for taking two souls for the price of one, thereby violating the contract somehow?

That’s not the way I would go. I’d go with Dies accepted the deal, so the orb should go to him, not Fox. But the Demon clearly gave the orb to Fox, violating the contract.Your interpretation does have its merits, though.

If smething of the sort does happen, and dies is restored and the demon whisked away to hell +, will that be Dies fate completed, so he doesnt have to worry anymore?

That’s my thought. And for what it’s worth, Fox has already fulfilled her obligation to Destiny.

All either of them has to do is kill any seer they ever meet again before allowing said seer to speak to them, and they get to live as free agents from now on.
