HAPPY BIRTHDAY, I2X![/center]
So, I woke up this morning, turned on the monitor, and the computer was … fine. No crashes or seizures. It was perfectly normal. Thus, the battery seems to have been the culprit for the entire range of problems. Which means that yes, BooFae, the problems appear to be sorted on my end, anyway, so that’s a relief. I hate technology sometimes.
Dotty - It’s possible that your firewall was blocking certain rather important services from doing their thing over the network. Firewalls can be tricky bastages to set up if you don’t know what programs/services need network access and/or don’t know know what ports and/or what protocols they use on those ports. A good firewall though should be aware of all of the most common required connections, ports and protocols and handle them accordingly. If it can’t, it’s time for a new firewall.
Swampus Cerveza - No, no. Not that Loki. That one’s a good doggie. (I presume at the moment, anyway.) The other one. The on that’s currently on the floor in the fetal position, sobbing quietly and holding his crotch.
