Grimm, Season 4

true -

OMG was that a backdoor pilot or what? It was fun. Truble and Josh make a really fun twist on the usual Master and Padawan relationship. Too bad they couldn’t take Bud with them. And we have an explanation for fruit cake.

Okay ladies, was that an “I’m pregnant” face or an “I’m not pregnant” face?

Because the baby is her granddaughter. Would you want your half-hexenbiest granddaughter raised by a grimm?

No clue. Thank god.

“I’m pregnant.” She was upset that she ‘was’ someone else when she might have conceived, so I’m guessing she would have been relieved if it was negative.

But I don’t understand how she could have conceived then, though, unless a hell of a lot more time passed between the last two episodes than appeared to…or does the previous episode seem more distant than a handful of days before to other viewers?

Pregnancy reminds me that I feel that when Monroe and Rosalee reproduce, they should have a multiple birth. Foxes and wolves both have litters, after all.

I’m also disappointed to see Trubel leave, and hope she’ll return. I thought for sure they’d reveal by now that she was Nick’s little sister or cousin. I leaned towards cousin, how hard would it have been for his aunt to raise him after having given up a baby of her own not terribly long before then? (He went to aunt Marie in 1994, and Trubel was born in 1993) Might have made for interesting flashbacks…

Dammit, hamsters ate my edit.

I also wanted to theorize that the test being positive would give Adalind future leverage over Nick. She’s an eye-for-an-eye sort to the point it’s surprising she let Kelly live, so she would find it quite appropriate to steal Nick’s baby son or daughter and hold it hostage until he helped her get her own baby back.

I was surprised Adiland didn’t get pregnant with Nick’s child, but I guess Juliette could be carrying Adiland’s child by proxy. To be fair, Adiland should be carrying Juliette’s child. Oi, babies everywhere.

My biggest fanwank with this show is Juliette goes pseudo-Grimm on Adalind. Juliette with a sprout to defend would be the perfect setup for separating Adalind’s head from her neck…

As I watched this episode, it occurred to me that Trubel had been around long enough (and had fit in well enough) to finally earn a promotion to the main cast. I guess I was mistaken.

Just because they say they’re going to Philly doesn’t mean they get there or stay. Just sayin’…

There’s probably no room to be promoted to main cast, but they’re too good to just resolve their stories and forget about them. I wouldn’t mind at all checking in with Truble and Josh in Philadelphia and seeing less Wessen der Woche which isn’t why most of us watch the show anyway, is it?

Frankly I think any spin-off is bound to fail. But while we’re on the subject, what about Kelly Burkhardt and Elizabeth Lascelles (Renard’s mother)? Two kick-ass women on the run protecting a powerful baby from the royals and resistance.

LOL.

Wait, are you kidding?

You know, I’m not sure.

It worked for* Law and Order *and CSI.

Sgt. Wu cracks up, Part Deux…

Juliette becomes a Hexenbiest. Not exactly what we thought she was carrying.

Poor Wu.

Monroe and Rosalee are never getting a honeymoon.

I think Nick and Juliette will agree to have sex with the lights off now.

Nick de-hexenbiested Adalind with his blood. Maybe he can do the same thing to Juliette if need be.

One thing I find weird is that Hexenbiests seem to be the only asymmetrical wesen. All the others, at least as far as I remember, look somewhat ‘normal’ in the sense that if they have furry ears on one side, they have them on the other. Tentacles arranged in patterns, etc. Most clearly have a look of animal/human hybrids.

Hexenbiests look like humans that have suffered horribly damaging accidents with their twisted, irregular scarring.

Does that mean anything? Or is it simply that they were the first wesen the show creators thought up, and they hadn’t decided on a pattern yet?

The next episode is Jan. 9. (Three weeks!)
