Grimm Season 5

Stick…True Cross?? Just in time for Easter.

Boo, Nick, why did you tell Adalind that you didn’t find “it”??

Because he, Hank, Wu, Rosalee, and Monroe all pledged to keep it a secret.

I thought that we were going to have a scene where the old guy whips out the contract and gleefully cackles that he owns the kid’s soul or something. Nice that they went in a different direction.

That’s my thinking, although I always think of Mark Twain’s remark about relics of the True Cross. Mostly that he’d seen enough nails to fill a keg.

I read speculation elsewhere that it could be a twig from the ‘Tree of Life.’

The noted *humorist *and satirist, Mark Twain.

They say the same thing about the True Cross, whereas actually only a tiny amount are relics:

*Once he had estimated the weight of the cross, de Fleury calculated the size, or more accurately, volume, of the cross, which came to 10,900 cubic inches. But the total volume of all the fragments he had measured came to only 240 cubic inches. *

So some plot advancement this time on the locked door, the poster and back to Diana again.

Plus poor Wu. lol. I thought the disease only affected Vesen.

Yeah, Blutbaden specifically.

It was stated that the affliction of the butbaden was the source of the WereWolf legends - it wasn’t discussed if it could be transmitted to humans or not.

Part of the werewolf legend is that surviving an attack (and in the process getting bit, scratched) turns you into one.

At the least - it should be a nice infection that we will have to stick around for to see what happens.

Good point.

I can’t wait to see the WereWu!

(singing) AwwWuuuuu, WereWu of Portland… AwwWuuuuuuuu.
(apologies to Warren Zevon)

Though, since he’s not Wesen I wonder if it would just make him get crazy during full moon, but not actually transform physically.

Ooh, maybe they can use the magic stick on him. They should have thought about using that on the infected Blutbad in this episode.

Was Wu eating mattress stuffing ever explained?

Brian

Yes. To the audience immediately and to Wu himself not that long ago.

Oh, Wu. He’s the Butt Monkey, and he knows it. I think he’s my favorite character, and I’m backing him for promotion to Iron Woobie. (Or would that be “Wu-bie”?)

When Adalind was evil and trying to get the key from Nick, she gave Hank cookies that made him fall in love with her. Wu ate one of the cookies and it gave him a really bad case of pica

This past episode was a “meh” for me, and usually I like the eps. Besides being a weak story in both the soap opera and Monster Of The Week departments, the producers must have given the A list makeup people a gang vacation. Both the youth vampire and the doctor both had makeups that actually looked like shit was glued to the actor’s faces instead of the usual quality of looking like the makeups actually belonged there.

ETA: I think just about everyone mailed it in this past week, all down the line.

I’m really surprised that Renard seems to have joined Black claw. I mean, on the one hand when he had the coin it revealed that being mayor was his ambition, but on the other he has to know that he’ll just be a figure head and puppet, and also, his character seemed to be more good than bad.

I’m pretty sure it’s a double-cross; he’s figuring it’s easier to work from within than constantly be a step behind.

I do wonder if we’re about to see “Nick takes over for Renard,” which would be the logical progression from the ‘The new guy won’t know how we do things around here’ conversation.

I’ve considered that, but you’d think he’d either tell Nick and Hand and/or Meisner’s group.

That could be interesting. And if so, maybe Wu makes Detective.
