From what I read, she had two additional traffic violations and driving on a suspended license, and failed to sign up for drunko school.

Writing checks would also require her to write numbers, and possibly even have a basic understanding of math. That seems far fetched.

One would think that with all her money she would hire someone to drive her around. Especially with her driving record and a suspended liscense. 
And the schadenfreude is compounded by the fact that Paris is the current Iconic Pampered Brat, representative of all the overprivileged vapid bimbos we all know either personally or by reputation.

I’ve read in a few places that she’s managed to make more money on her own than what her actual inheritance is going to be. Granted, she did so using the Hilton name, but regardless, she’s raked in a ton of money on her own.
High fives everyone in thread. Maybe now she’ll stop being held up as some sort of role model for our girls.
I would also like to point out (God, why did I have to be watching Nancy Grace when this news broke?) that the 36 months probation and alcohol class (only 12 hours) were not the original sentence…
It was 24 months probation and community service, until Paris pouted because she didn’t wanna do community service. So they threw on an extra year of probation.
Also, the maximum sentence for this charge was 90 days in jail. But the prosecutors were only asking for 45.
I shall retreat to the corner and hang my head in shame. I should not know this much about the damn Paris bullshit.
Who ever said she was a role model? I don’t think I have ever heard anyone hold her in that regard.
I think it’s excessive punishment. She’s not my favorite person, but that doesn’t mean she should get punished above and beyond what a regular person would be. I know several people who have had at least that much legal trouble and haven’t spent more than a night in jail. Something tells me she’ll find a way out of this.
She’s all over the girls magazines. My twelve year old niece holds her in high regard. She wants to be that thin, blonde and rich.
