I bought my wife a new Menorah about 3 years ago. I wrapped it carefully in bubblewrap in its box. So it should be fine for next year.
And you didn’t use it this year because…??
We’re in the middle of a slow move. Most of our stuff is in storage and we’re living in my parent’s place getting it ready for sale also. Meanwhile my kids (young adults) are staying with my sister for this month. In 13 days we should finally be in our new home.
So we moved out of our home of 19 years the day before Thanksgiving and are spending Chanukah & Christmas apart. So no Menorah and the Xmas Tree is about 2’ high. (My Mom’s)
Our house sale was delayed 15 days and finally closed late last evening, (why I missed posting the pic). We’re still waiting for the wire transfer to see our money from the sale.
This is a very crazy way in a terrible year to spend the Holiday Season. Even after we move, we still have to get back down here one more time to move some remaining stuff out for my daughter into our basement. She’ll have a good start on her first apartment at least.

Happy Chanukah. Especially to my kids if they see this.
The house is finally really sold and we’re now nearing being back together.
Here’s hoping you will all be together soon. 
We had our youngest on the phone for lighting of the candles, since he’s with friends he hadn’t been able to see since Spring Break. I got to light the candles a couple of times, even though I’m a goy.
I hope so!
That’s very sweet. I live alone, so I call a non-Jewish friend every Friday night and share Shabbat candle-lighting with her.

I took a photo of our menorah last night, but i forgot your can’t put photos in this site. So you’ll just have to imagine it.

Yeah, I’m not going to deal with a third party just because this site doesn’t host photos. I just keep forgetting, because all my other chat sites host photos.
I am going to keep whining, though. I suppose i hope this site will change.
Although one of my sites posts all their costs in per monthly fees with their ~annual request for donations to keep the site running, and they pay more for photos than for the main site. They are a very photo-heavy site, though.
Ed is against the idea of the SDMB hosting images. So if you want to put images up here, either go third party or email a friend and have them put it up on their third party site. Because the policy won’t be changing anytime soon.
If you want me to host the picture of your Menorah, I’m willing. Just email it to me. I do it so often now, it is almost no bother at all.
