Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 95 and accordin’ to the weather PTB we should have afternoon thunderboomers. However, no breath shall be held in anticipation.
{{{doggio}}} Nellie has had a long and happy life, so if it is her time, you know and she knows she has been much loved and cared for. Still it’s a sad time if it is that time.
Spaz I take it Katy cat sees your function as a filler of the food bowl. She sounds a little man crazy to me.
Now I shall seek more caffiene and brekkie for a rumbly tummy. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. Oh well, short week and all that.
Well, at least I’m in good company. Brother is going to try to fix the problem. He says he’s done more complicated stuff before. We’ll see.
We went to a taco truck for our traditional 4th of July tacos. OK, not traditional, but I wanted real tacos and knew they’d be open. The tacos were good, the rice was good, the beans were extra yummy. Just boiled, not refried, but very tasty.
Went to Local Best Friend’s to watch fireworks in her neighborhood. Had lots of fun chasing her daughter around beforehand. We walked to an area that was a few blocks from where they were shooting off the fireworks so that they wouldn’t be too loud. It was still fairly loud (especially the finale), but very cool.
Got home too late, of course and am now very blurfy.
I used to feel that way, too. Q104.3 has a web streamer - listen to it someday, for at least four hours.
There is such of a thing if it’s at the expense of The Who, The Stones, The Pretneders, Patti Smithe, etc etc etc
This weekend I stripped my bed and washed my sheets. I dumped the clean fresh sheets on the bed in preparation of making someday. Before I got it made, a cat horked up a hairball on them. Back to the washer…
The vet came yesterday and inseminated my mare. I’ll know in three weeks if she’s in foal.
Tuesday after a long holiday is like Monday[sup]2[/sup].
Y’all started another thread yesterday?! That’s why no one was posting in the old one. I had thought for some reason that there was no MMP on holidays.
I am at work, and forgot my reflux meds this morning ::buuuuurp:: Also, MOOOOM, I realized that I can’t continue participating in knitting/crocheting threads without, you know, actually making something every once in a while. Dug some yarn out of the stash yesterday and cast on for a pair of socks. A more complicated pattern than I’m used to, but I’ll have 'em done by winter of next year, I’m sure
cbear, the rules established by the originator of the MMP have long since been tossed by the wayside. In fact, we often start the MondayMorningPost on SundayEvening!
Yesterday sucked!!! Man, I thought the 4th was rough up in Kodiak where, in addition to all the crazy fireworks (safe and sane does not apply to fireworks either there or here, adjacent to the Tulalip reservation) there was a lot of gunfire and flares and the like going off. It began here in earnest on the 3rd, and yesterday it was as if being in a war zone from 10am until long after 1am. My dogs are still freaked, and my nerves are shot.
It’s another beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest, looks as though we will close in on 80° F. My roses are loving this, as is the rest of my garden. I have 6 roses to transplant, along with various other bits, but I think my garden is basically done for the year. Now, after all the work, I can just enjoy the results.
Meh, off to see the vampire now, get that out of the way so I can enjoy the rest of the day. With luck I will get a good phlebotomist and I won’t bruise… TTFN!
I need to read slower - I thought **BBBobbio **was doing lap dances at the office…
{{{**doggio **and Nellie}}}
Much coolness - I had 2 emails today from people who are giving me some yarn. I put an ad in the “Wanted” section of the local classifieds, explaining why I want the yarn, so yay! And one of the women used to work where I work and is now working in an office park near where I work, so I’ll just swing by her office tomorrow. The other lives on the water past Leonardtown, so I’ll take a ride down there in a little bit. So yay! More yarn! More afghans!!
**donkeybear **- I don’t think I’ve ever posted to a yarn-related thread - too busy knitting and crocheting…
18 working days to go - yes, I’m counting! First exit interview tomorrow. I suspect things will start going pretty fast now. Too fast to fret, right?
