Hell Week in the MMP

remember all that undecorating i was dreading this week? well my aunt got bored and annoyed at it all and took it all down in 6 hours Sunday night
So we didn’t do much yesterday …worker is coming back tomorrow but as soon as cousin is paid the back money im getting rid of her and switching to my aunt or im leaving the whole thing as I’m only doing it sos aunt can have extra money for the bills (the only reason i signed up for it in the first place was when i owned a house with said cousin she was driving me around and running errands for me and it was only maybe 100 bucks a month which got her off my back about gas money …

and well over the years the program turned into an official job and now she gets almost 800 a month for being a PIMA
she says "well don’t switch it over as shell be moving soon " no im not waiting as I’ve heard that off and on for 8 damn years … only thing i need to know tomorrow is how long should I wait before i change it over …

The electricians started on the lights in the shop - they should finish tomorrow. The guys who did the foundation came and moved some dirt around - I should be able to build the garden border this weekend. So I guess I should order the azaleas I plan to plant in that bed.

Roxy is still having up-and-down fever, and it seems to be making her a little crabby, but she ate a good supper, so there’s that. I’ve got the dishwasher running and shortly, I will assume the crochet position. It’s been a busy day, but a good one.

I’ve been unemployed since I was laid off from Blockbuster in March 2013. Went back to school a few months later, had a nervous breakdown, left school, and went on Social Security disability.

A couple of weeks ago, Mom and I were going to a barbecue place for lunch when we saw a “Now Hiring” sign on the door of the OldSkool video game store, ironically just a few doors down from the old Blockbuster location. I’ve applied for the opening.

Talked to the owner on the phone a couple days ago, and he told me he was going to freeze hiring until some time in June, because business has been very slow, but he expects it will pick up when the kids get out of school.

As someone who worked for Blockbuster for more than 12 years, I’m eminently qualified for this job, and I really want it, so… fingers crossed.

I’m officially getting seasonal asthma again. :frowning: It’s been a few years since it’s flaired up, but this year it has. I’ll just keep the inhaler handy and watch my BG go up whenever I use it. Time to do some mending and then play in the studio.

*Always look on the bright side of life.*whistles

I now have an email folder titled “People who piss me off.” Needless to say, it is work related.

Laundered, napped. making Asian BBQ chicken with Five Spice rice and stir frie
asparagus.

red, I was a little wheezy today too. First time in years.

Good luck, Flipper!

She’s a Merrylande crab? Make her a cake! :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha. [del]wet one[/del] peedin has a pissed list.

How long did the makeup take?
Red, wish I was in your town later this week. :frowning:
I was holding a buncha VIP & VVIP passes for the draft this weekend but you’re kinda a far drive.

Good luck, and my best wishes. I can retire from work, but I want to keep working until I can get the maximum social security, I doubt most folks want to hire an old guy with a messed up back.

Awwww…sorry about that spidey. Iffen you decide to make the drive anyway, I’ll take you to lunch or a beer.

The wrist and hand healing continue apace. I’ve been cleared to remove the big mummy paw bandage and now have a homemade splint. My mitts are bigger than Walgreens’ idea of an adult XL so I couldn’t just buy a splint. I’m waiting to see what my surgeon will say on Friday when she sees my creation - amazement, amusement, or aghast.

But at least I can take it off for mundane things like bathing. It felt really weird to have a naked hand and wrist for a while, and it’s REALLY nice to be able to use a fork again.

So so much, but Sunny Daze I think you are coping with all this wonderfully.

I’m glad Star is adjusting to her plight. She has good humans.

Evening all. Soccer has been coached (but 8-9 year old boys are a handful…) and dinner has been consumed, so internettin’ is taking place. Rain may move in tomorrow night, but the last two days have been great.

gotti, glad the hand is doing better. Hope to hear steady improvement.

Flipper, seems you have hard times too; hope the job comes around for you.

wet one, is your hard drive large enough for the file…

FCM, hope Roxstar gets to feeling better and doesn’t share the ailment with the rest of the family.

All the rest, assorted hugs, laughs, and roll-eyes as required.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 63 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark) with a predicted high of 83 and cloudy for the day. Today’s agenda includes procurin’ provisions and yahd irk. Sup shall be pot roast with carrots and N.O.T., field peas 'n snaps with okra, and rolls. All that should be enough to keep me outta trouble.

MOOOOOOM hope Roxstar is feelin’ better today.

gotti yay for continued healin’.

{{{Flipper}}} ::tacklehug:: appropriate/inappropriate appendages are crossed re the new gig. Hope it all works out for ya.

WetOne never hurts to have A LIST.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, onward into the day. Methinks yahd irk first then purtification and donnin’ of appropriate goin’ about the public as an adult attire. Life is such a bother!

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

oh sunny i pmed you the link… hope it helps

RoxStar seems to be better today - daughter said she didn’t have a fever overnight, she slept thru, and was normal this morning. She even slept on the ride to the sitter. The consensus seems to be that it’s related to teething. Hope that’s all it is.

We had stink bugs in the bedroom last night. I saw one up by the ceiling, and as I was playing on my tablet before falling asleep, the nasty thing swooped down on me. ick! It got a burial at sea (or at septic.) Apparently he had a buddy, because after the lights were out and just as I was dozing off, the other one landed on me. ick ick ick  And he also got the Final Swirly! ick ick ick ick It took a while to fall asleep after that - I’m pretty sure it was close to midnight, so I’s tahred today.

But what’cha gonna do? Happy Wednesday!

FCM, hope little RoxStar’s fever comes down! Crabby babies are no fun.

Dolphin, good luck on the job. Hopefully it’ll come through for you!

Irking. Since I took Monday off, my week is all messed up. Doesn’t feel like Wednesday. Doesn’t feel like Tuesday, for that matter, either. It just feels irksome to be here. Can’t wait until Sunday… I so badly want to see the new Avengers movie!!

Happy Hump Day!

It is bright and N.O.S. outside. Going to get up 72.

Excitement at the dog park yesterday. A couple showed up with a somewhat dog aggressive pit. There were only two of us on the big dog side when they showed up, the other woman left. People on the small dog side kept yelling at the couple to take their dog and leave, the woman of the couple kept telling them to mind their own business. I thought there was going to be a human fight. Soon the police showed up and made them leave. I don’t know it the woman who left called them or somebody on the small dog side.
I told the couple I think they should walk the dog before bringing him to the park to burn up some of his energy, because he did settle down after he ran around a bit. I think it also didn’t help that they had two other dogs and they let them all loose into the park at the same time. All of them are young and hyper, two pits and one shar pei/jack russell mix. All breeds that can be dog aggressive. None of them were very well behaved, kept jumping on me, which I know that to go to the dog park and think that you won’t be jumped on is kind of stupid, but it does get a bit annoying when adult dogs do it.
Anyway, the larger pit jumped on Ripple but when I yelled he backed off. However, he wouldn’t leave the lab alone, but that woman is meeker than I am. I do think the couple should have left but I’m not the park police. It’s not my place to tell somebody to leave, or to put out their cigarette, or to leave their food outside.
Besides Ripple breaks the rule everyday by going into the fenced off area of the park. I don’t know what they expect when there are holes in the fence or places where it doesn’t touch the ground.

I’m glad Roxstar is feeling better.

Waiting for the plumbers, no idea what time they are coming.
I still have to take Ripple to daycare.
We just finished up my son’s homework. It’s hard to write a resume when one has nothing to put on it.
Unfortunately, colleges don’t offer Bullshitting 101. Whether for good or for bad, bullshitting is a necessary skill in the world.
I especially love the question why do you want this job? The honest answer is I don’t, but I need to do something in order to eat and keep a roof over my head, and this job appears to be the least unpleasant of my available options. Unfortunately, the truth won’t get you hired.

We’re getting topsoil delivered today, so guess what my weekend will involve!

New Old Stock?
