Hell Week in the MMP

**FCD **will be glad to see this. But given the choice, I’ll have CB’s fried haddock every time!

T-boomers seem to be done. We may get a few more sprinkles, but forecast is for dry overnight. Tomorrow, I play in dirt/mud!

Didn’t get much done today.

Took a long hot shower, which made me sleepy.
Went to the dog park, was there about an hour when the thunderboomers started. It stopped raining long enough for us to get from the truck to the house.
Then I took a nap until time to go to irk.

Got a letter from the city that they are updating the water meters and I have to have an expansion tank installed, which I probably already have since my HWH is only a few years old. I’ll call the furnace/hwh people tomorrow to make sure. Or since the letter includes a drawing of one, I suppose I could go look at the HWH.

Tis a beautiful day in middle Tennessee. Sunny, warm, and, best of all, Friday. :stuck_out_tongue:

Irked, bought groceries, took Nelson to the dog park (he played hard with a couple of four month old puppies who will be on the other side before long), got BBQ, including a pup cup for Nelson, came home and chilling in front of CSI.

Gardening will happen tomorrow.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis a chilly 51 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark) with a predicted high of 83 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Not much on the agenda today. We shall do brunch today at the [del]hog trough[/del] Golden Corral as OYKW has a gnawin’ and a cravin’. We shall go around elevenish to partake. Whilst out a run to the Pubic Sto’ to get some shrimpies for tomorrow will be made. After that I foresee sloth and a bingewatch of Nurse Jackie. After a visit to the GC any other need to feed shall be via forage. Sounds like a good Sattidy plan overall.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy says eat sump’n which I must do in order to take meds but nuttin’ big so we can pig at the [del]hog trough[/del] GC.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

It dropped into the 40s here overnight! It’s 65° in the house!!! That’s what I get for leaving the windows open. But it’s supposed to get close to 70° today, which will make for great playing-in-the-dirt weather.

And, of course, there’s laundry… :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Saturday!

Happy Saturday!

It’s a chilly 52 feels like 45 degrees outside, supposed to be N.O.S. with a high of 64 today.
I’m glad I didn’t pack my winter clothes away, today is not shorts and t-shirt weather.

The agenda for today is irk to make up the missed time this week, finish up the laundry, and lots of yard irk.

I woked up & could see something on my nose; looked in the mirror & I must have scratched it during the night; what I saw was dried blood; gotta go purtify anyway as it’s ½ til I gotta lie on a recliner in a dark room for three hrs The Endgame is to try & stay awake.

Baker, important announcement, today of all days given where you are. Just saw a preview for May 31st opening of a new Godzilla movie!!!

If anyone have never played a Feud try this!

I saw that and knew it was coming, but thanks!

We’ve breakfasted. **FCD **got a haircut, then helped me haul the laundry downstairs. He’s mowing the lawn. I started the first load of laundry and I just vacuumed the non-bedroom/bathroom parts of the house.

So productive! Once it warms a bit more, I’ll be outside playing in the dirt. Good times!

I finished the floor/deck for the canopy shed yesterday. To recap: 16 concrete piers support four 12-foot pressure-treated 2x6s. A 7-foot pressure treated 2x6 is at each end. The corner piers have metal brackets. Yesterday I bought two 8-foot pressure-treated 2x4s and cut them into six pieces. These are crosspieces to support the edges of the floor in the middle of the platform. I nailed the middle two through the middle two 2x6 joists. For the outboard ones, I nailed them through the 2x6s on the outside ends, and nailed scrap boards to the inside joists and nailed the 2x4s into their butt ends. I nailed down three 4-foot by 7-foot sheets of ⅝" plywood, and then painted the whole thing with light grey deck paint (‘reconditioner/waterproofer’, it says on the label).

Mrs. L.A. is very pleased. She says she’s proud of me. One of the outside 2x6s has a slight bow in it, and the whole thing is half an inch out of square despite my efforts. Though I cut three inches off of the 12-footers to account for the 1.5-inch boards on each end, the plywood failed to cover half an inch of the length. In my defence, I’ve never done anything like this before. I wish it were perfect, but I think I did a pretty good job for a first attempt.

I hope the wind dies down so I can erect the canopy shed, which arrived as I was laying the floor yesterday afternoon. I’ll save pictures for the next MMP.

I think yard irk won’t get done today, it is horribly windy outside.

There’s plenty to do inside, and we should probably open the bilco doors for a bit and air out the basement.
I’d like to hang some clothed outside but I think the wind would blow over the clothes line.

Two loads out on the lines, one more to go, and the last load will be in the dryer because I’ll be out of space on the lines, and it takes tooooooooo long to hang out unders and socks. No, I’m not embarrassed to have my undies blowing in the breeze, just lazy.

Windy here, too. I’ll unpack the canopy shed, and I hope later I’ll have an erection.

Easter Sunday it was close to 80 and sunny. Thursday night I rode outside in short sleeves. Today? A blizzard warning with up to 6 inches of snow. Our driveways have been resurfaced so we can’t park in our garages. Can’t park on the street due to snow regulations. I am parked in the guest parking which is kosher, but I can’t leave or I will lose my space and won’t have anywhere to park. So I’m stuck inside. I am not amused.

Oy!

I woke up at 0600 this morning with an upset belly and a charley horse. I washed a muscle relaxer down with a glass of selzer and went back to bed for another 3.5 hours. I woke up feeling considerably better.

Breakfast (oatmeal and a scrambled aig) is et, tea consumed, towels and sheets ready to go to the dryer and KP needs to be done. There’s a small crock of black beans and a big one of mojo poke on for supper. I’ll make kachumber salad later. Once KP is out of the way and I get purtified to go out in public, I’ll go to Lowe’s for plants, come home and play on the patio most of the day.

Ummm, ever heard of Viagra? :o

Oh, that kind of erection. That’s very different. Nevermind.
Wetone, it’s clear you have never lived in the big city.
Movie was very good.

[spoiler]Leaving mayo out at a picnic.

Get it, it’ll spoil. You didn’t really think I was gonna say anything, didja? [/spoiler]

ETA: Just looked at my junk mail folder, there’s one from “DUI Claim Help” & one from “Burial Insurance Offer”; think they’re related? :dubious:

Johnny great work on the shed and I hope you’ll have an erection later too.

I have ordered groceries and played fetch with Akiko-pup.

Tonight I am supposed to take my daughter to a musical in our old Morgan Hill neighborhood. My daughter’s friend is in it and they like to visit when they can. I don’t remember what the musical is called, but it uses Queen songs.

I am hungry. I might start to rustle up some food, even though no one else is awake right now. I’m thinking bacon, eggs, and biscuits.

Last load is in the dryer, the other 3 are on the lines. I just finished mowing the ditches. Maybe a little later, I’ll go move some dirt. I think planting will wait till tomorrow.

Howdy Y’all! We went to the [del]hog trough[/del] GC, did a couple errands, went to the Pubic Sto’, came back to da cave and achieved nappage. ‘Tis nice out but I am happy stayin’ inside and bein’ slothful as is OYKW.
