Here I am, minty green. Something you want to say?

Possibly not the best choice of words to use in a thread about “turdburgling.”

“Assgoblin!” Jeeze, I’m gonna have to use that one at work…

A loo lozenge (read urinal cake) to be precise  , since we’re discussing toilet-related activities. Checkidout: http://www.nanowrimo.org/viewtopic.php?t=3926&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Oh, my poor ugly link. Won’t someone tell me how to make it all pretty like everyone else’s?

Quick question for Doghouse Reilly and Minty Green: how do you guys feel about permanently being associated with the word “turdburgler” in so many people’s minds?

Like I could give a shit?

But would you take a shit?

More ass trouble brewing

What to assmonkeys do… brew turd tea?

:get it??? brewing…tea:

::I swear something happened, the keyboard stole all the funniness right out of that one::

So, my wife drags me over to the Straight Dope and makes me join.

This is the fifth or sixth thread I read and now my kids are conspiring to call the men in the white coats. She and I are both sitting here laughing our…our gluteus maximi off (can I say that here?). The kids are whispering. “What are they laughing about? Shouldn’t we call someone? They are supposed to be the sane ones here.”

Off topic question from a newby. Is there a sub-pit here for topics like this that really are too offensive, ranting, rude, and lowbrow for the BBQ Pit?

Oops, well, now I know how to double post.

Please don’t tell me there is a name they use that is meant to be offensive only to people too dumb to post properly.

I did not double post that. I swear it was my evil twin.

Yeah, Great Debates.

Consider the words of Plato who said that “Love can exist without any other force, but Hate cannot exist without prior Love”. How can one paraphrase the Master? Forgive my humble attempt. One cannot truly HATE something until someone, or some principle that one loves has been violated. e.g.: Your Amtrak train is 15 minutes late, causing you to miss the start of your favorite tv show. You won’t HATE Amtrak for that. But if that delay caused you to arrive at the hospital a few minutes after your mother passed away, and you weren’t able to say goodbye, you may in part blame Amtrak and “hate” them forevermore. Not that Amtrak (or any other person or institution) purposefully tried to do you harm; but it is our PERCEPTION of the harm caused to ourselves, loved ones, or cherished principles that causes us to hate. So gay-bashers may perceive that homosexuals are hurting the morals of society; Democrats may perceive that Republicans are wasteful and selfish, etc. The point is, that hatred is based on our PERCEPTION of harm to those people or things that we love. If man ever evolves to the point that he can realize that faultiness of his perceptions, then, and only then will hatred subside. Until then, one more quote from the Master: A man is not wise until he can fully appreciate the depth of his ignorance, (and not just that of his neighbor’s) Parenthetic addendum mine…

Yes, yes, all very well and good, but did Plato have anything to say about turdburgling? Huh?! Answer me that!

Waitaminnit–come to think of it . . .

Quite a bit actually, being a Greek of the classical period, although the terminology would have vastly differed. Read Books 4-6 of “The Republic”…

Oops, sorry about the triple post. I guess I have evil triplets…

So it took you the better part of a year to come up with that?

While I can’t possibly imagine why some goat-felching moron would want to resurrect this god-forsaken thread after eight fucking months, I’ve got to ask:

Has there been a concensus reached as to whether the term in question is actually a slur?

I have to admit, I am a cavedweller if it is.

Well he did just get here in April, so he probably just found the thread, though I’m not sure I would have re-opened this thread just for that if I were him/her. Meh.
