Heroes 3/5: "Parasite" (SPOILERS)

You people all type too damn fast.

You know what I didn’t get? When AED said to Isaac that Simone is travelling around Europe right now? Oh, wait, is that so people will think she just took off and not that she’s dead? Help, I’m confused.

In other news, I freakin love this show.

No. I heard and remember the line well. Something on the order of “two inches lower and its fatal”.

Then did the Hatian not “… go deep” to “take all that can link me to Claire” ?

Im home for spring break, I had to explain to my mom what everyone could do, and why each person wants the other one dead, or out of the way. Also, I was busy with the website from Prison Break.

Yes, that’s the cover story they’re giving so Isaac won’t get in trouble with the law for killing Simone.

Yes, that’s the “official story” so the cops don’t keep looking for her.

I can’t believe we have to wait until April for the next one… although I guess now we know where Peter gets his scar from. Maybe because it’s caused by an equal, it won’t heal as well? Or Sylar will actually take a piece out, thinking he’s found how Peter “works”, but leaves behind a lot of other abilities (healing) but you can’t heal the part that’s missing entirely… I don’t know. Arrggh… APRIL!!!

I guess we know how Peter gets his scar.

You’re not confused

You’re not wrong!

And Sylar has finally done us all a favor, cutting that damned emo dangling bit of hair out of Peter’s eye!

The Hatian took everything that could lead the company to Claire. Which is what Mr Bennet told him to do. He’s not suicidal - and if he was, the gunshot would be no less kind than hollowing him out.

The Hatian’s power is a surgeon’s scalpel, not a sledgehammer. The only time he completely obliterates a person’s mind is the kid who tried to rape Claire.

There was no reason to hollow him out - in fact, even ignoring the ‘why would he want to essentially die when he doesn’t need to’ factor, there’s a good reason not to. A missing day - for him, his wife, and their son - is easy to ignore, and lets them come up with a cover story for Mrs Bennet, the kid, and the school. Claire and Mr Bennet both going missing would just draw attention to things.

It’s like I’m not even here…

Am I the only one who kind of liked Peter’s emo bangs?

Evidently, yes. It never bothered me until someone else in one of these threads mentioned it, then it was all I could think about when I saw him.

My personal favorite line was when Mohimbo said something along the lines of “We don’t need hope. We need caffeine.”

And for more randomness, based on Linderman’s speech, he’s either got powers of premonition or he’s close to someone who does (or just the power to travel to the future. . .). OR, alternatively, he’s getting some information from people close to Nathan (Mommie Dearest perhaps?). OR he’s just a crazy guy who happens to be right about Nathan having an illegitimate daughter and is banking on being right about the next two years (and getting Nathan in line for the Presidency).

I really need to go back and watch the past two episodes again on my day off this week. . . there’s almost too much to take in, but I’ll try.

It occurs to me that Hiro was being polite when he told Peter that he didn’t recognize him without his scar. What Hiro was really thinking was that he didn’t recognize Peter with those emo bangs.

I really like Nathan’s mom. So… we’ve got a cabal. Simone’s dad, Nathan’s mom, Claude…

It’s like I’m just skimming some of the previous posts, and missed a statement in the middle of that one. The important thing is, we agree.

I’m assuming that he doesn’t have powers of premonition (in some measure because it would be a repeat of a power we’ve already seen) but instead has enough money that he can tap into whatever information source he needs. A well-placed mole at PrimaTech would be all he’d need to account for knowing most of what he knows.

But hey, nice one creators, making both of the dotty mothers more rounded characters than we’d previously seen. Especially Mrs Bennet, too bad she’s MIA now.

I thought I watched closely, but I didn’t catch any rebuilding going on in New York. I saw Hiro and Ando on the roof looking at massive destruction. Where was the rebuilding? Why did Hiro think he failed? He has the sword now, he can go back and try again.

I don’t like the new chick, the one who can look like anybody. Not just because she’s a bitch – “condolences” my ass – but because we’ll never be able to trust what we’re seeing while we’re seeing it.

Yabbut do we know for sure that we saw her in both those scenes and not the impersonator? I think I’ll leave this episode on the DVR and watch again.

There is a construction crane moving in the background and a vehicle can be seen moving from left to right on a nearby street. And that’s the problem with having a character who can travel through time, he has too much power. However, his attempts to go back and save the cute waitress proved fruitless.

In the first instance, yes, because the impersonator comes to their hotel, and there is a scene with the two of them.
