Heroes 3/5: "Parasite" (SPOILERS)

Peter and Sylar fell off the roof. Claire had already run off to find someplace with people and lights, as Peter had told her to, and she’d then found her father, who wouldn’t let her go back to see if Peter was okay. Claire didn’t fall and therefore didn’t regenerate right next to Peter.

(she’d done so, earlier, when Sylar had thrown her while he was popping Jackie’s top, but Peter wasn’t there, yet)

No, he sent Claire to the stadium before he fell off the side with Sylar.

About the illusionist chick: on first hearing Mr. Bennett talk to her, I thought he called her Canvas, as in a blank canvas. I called her that and my 15-year old son agreed (or maybe he just went along with me).

It was only later that I realized her name is Candice. I thought it was kind of a cool mis-hearing on my part, so that’s what we’re calling her in my house.

If you were Isaac, wouldn’t you get a shave and a haircut PDQ?

We can fanwank this by assuming that Claire was still healing minor damage when she ran into Peter so her power was still active. Or by assuming that her power is reactive and passive and thus always “on” like Dale’s hearing.

A shave and a haircut? Depends on how much it would cost.

Must… resist…

I’m guessing that if you did enough comparison shopping you could find a decent service for as low as two bits.

In regards to Peter’s ability to absorb powers I don’t think that there is any reason to assume that the person he is absorbing them from needs to use the power around him. I think that the only reason that he has not used the Voice is that he is unaware that he could. From his training with Claude it seems to me that he has to be aware that he must be aware of the person to be able to think back and retrieve the power, so if he knows nothing of Eden he won’t be looking for the power to use it.

I found this:

here.

I feel like a toon in Roger Rabbit.

thanks for the link Achren.

While it is a common thing for the politically and financially powerful to be shown as totally unafraid of physical danger, am I the only one who thinks Linderman probably had good reason not to worry about Nathan’s gun? He could have a friend with the abliity to turn gunpowder into silly putty or any number of other counters to mere firearms.

I found myself yelling at the TV twice in this episode. First, when Hiro was in arm’s reach of the sword and didn’t grab it, allowing himself to use his full powers.

Second was when Sylar was grabbing Peter. I shouted, “Use your powers, you fool!”

The thing about Claires power is that its always on, its not like Hiros or Nathans that has to be “turned on”, so it makes sense that Peter would pick it up just from being around her.

Yeah, but when does Claire get her adamantium skeleton and claws installed?

Hmm based on the effect that was being used (ie when she was Simone, the corpse disappeared) I’d say she’s got more of a Mastermind type power

That’s what I think too, and it leads me to want to call her Miss Direction but I won’t.

Zachary Quinto (who plays Sylar) is a babe! Who knew that under those foot-long eyebrows was a seriously good-lookin’ dude?
