House 4/26

Nah, we’re not “true” fans. I’ve never missed an episode though. Maybe we’re just posers?

I’m very excited about next week’s show. The karaoke thing looks good… and a lactating man! Hooray! :stuck_out_tongue:

I thought she looked familiar, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Then again, I wasn’t watching much of the Drew Carey Show by the time it got to that point in the series. I caught an episode here and there, but wasn’t watching it regularly anymore.

No “true fan” of House likes Thirteen.

Let’s see: Amber a.k.a CB is dead. Kutner is dead. 13 has a death sentence on her. You’d think at least one of the principals of the 2nd group of ducklings might live a long life.

Let’s respectfully agree to disagree. There are people who like Thirteen, but we’re not as vocal as the ones who express distaste for her. Nevertheless, I stand by my statement. I am a true House fan and I like Thirteen.

I only like her because she’s gotten cuter. She reminds me of an old girlfriend. Then again, I’m one of those people who “gave up” on the series. I’ll still check it out from time to time, but I no longer care if I miss an episode. I’m perfectly fine with just reading a recap of it later.

Some of you people are nuts. Thirteen is fine. I also agree about Taub. I like Taub, the character. I just wish it wasn’t quite so formulaic. For example, I’d like for House to not get the diagnosis some times (okay, more frequently).

You’re a true fan, not a “true fan”. I’ve seen some of the House message boards, they’ve been bitching about 13 since it became evident that she would be a regular.
If you don’t spend at least an hour a day blogging about Huddy v. Hameron, and whether it should really be Hilson, you’re likely just a normal person who’s enthusiastic about the show.

I think that show had great dynamics in the beginning, and a good balance of medical v. personal drama. They rebalanced the cast, probably because the actors’ wanted the ability to do more movies, and have been unable to find the proper footing again. Hugh Laurie is still a riot, but the situations are becoming less and less credible.

Good point. I enjoy the show and still watch it every week, but I’m not obsessed by it. I only post about it here on the Dope when there’s a new episode.

By the way, I’d like to see Wilson’s relationship with his ex blow up and have Wilson start a relationship with Thirteen. They were good together during the lockdown when they played “Truth or Dare.” And Wilson previously dated Amber, so it isn’t like he hasn’t gone out with someone on House’s team before. Besides, this would absolutely drive House nuts even more than Chase/Cameron or Foreteen did.

amber wasn’t on house’s team when they were dating, “true fan”. sheesh. and house was STILL pissed about it.

and i don’t seem to recall house being too upset that foreman and thirteen had their little fling.

bah…

i like this show for hugh laurie, neat graphics, and the mental masturbation session that is House’s diagnosis process. sure it’s fake, flashy, and formulaic, but it also delivers more funnies than most sitcoms. and sometimes, if i’m really lucky they throw in a some decent acting, and original writing too - like the first two episodes of this season. oh yeah. cuddy’s cleavage. duh.

Except for the fact that my shift key works, I could have written this. ITA. Cleavage.

*House *is a prime example of one of life’s ironies: If you love comedy, don’t seek out comedies. Seek dramas that utilize the comedy of everyday life, in a much more effect manner than any sitcom ever does…TRM (signed to piss off a friend)
