House hunting, a home-sweet-home MMP

Whew - finally…

First off, nice pics, Taters, and welcome back from Paradise. Hope your luggage arrives soon.

I kept forgetting to post this picof the aquarium. No fishies till the ammonia levels come down. But the rocks are pretty.

And, daughter and I paperedthe bathroom. There will be white beadboard wainscoting on the bottom half of the wall, a cap rail, and a small crown molding. I painted the moldings, and I’ll give them a second coat tomorrow.

Daughter said I should get a red shower curtain, and red and tan towels to match the colors in the paper. So I guess I need to start shopping.

Tomorrow, I’m taking **FCD **to the hospital for a steriod injection in his spine. He’s been in such pain - I hope this helps.

Holy crap - it’s not even 6 yet! I’m so tired, I feel like it should be lots later. I’m getting old…

Pizza Hut/Wing Street sandwiches… Two thumbs up!

MOOOOOOM that wallpaper is gay approved. Nice! That wainscotting should be f-aaaaaa-bu-lous! Y’all done good!

CutiePie I’ve been wonderin’ about those sammiches. On your word of approval as a caterer, I shall try them.

Tupelo Honey–Ended up not going there or any other place for brunch downtown. I forgot it’s Tourist Season: Holiday Version. There was a line out the door everywhere I looked. So I went to Waffle House instead. Good food for much cheaper. I’ll try brunch at Tupelo in January when everyone from Georgia and Florida goes home. (I swear, the entire population of Alpharetta and Marietta passes through Hippy Hollow during the year.)

Parkway was nice. I went by the Folk Art Center and admired the crafts, got inspired to do some sewing by the textiles exhibit, and bought Irish Brother’s Christmas present (a book about how to keep squirrels out of your business–they ate his grapes this year).

I’m back on the Sparkpeople wagon. I want to lose those last 20 pounds. I’ve lost 60 since I started in 2007 (including the break I took through most of 2008). It will inspire me to get off my butt and start hiking/walking again. That and the treadmill that the Roommates got for their dogs. It’s a lot of fun watching the dogs walk on a treadmill.

Almost forgot to mention that I took pictures.

Well, I had to go to work, so no church, no dogpark. I gotta motivate myself to make dinner.

FCM, great wallpaper. The aquarium looks cool, too. I hope FCM feels better.

Taters, I had the same problem with Delta. Of course, American sent my bags to San Diego when I went to Michigan.

Great photos, Taters.

Hai.

I survived the bachelorette. Well, mostly. I may have killed some brain cells by drowning them in vodka.

All I know is that I have no intention whatsoever of ever doing that again. Ever. If I get married, my bachelorette will involve high tea and knitting, and vodka is not getting an invitation to the party, even if it does apologize for being so mean to me.

Read everything, but retained nothing. May be back later, once I’m capable of providing pithy comments.

Time to see if I can manage to nibble on some solid food that isn’t saltines. Urk.

Muppet invite tequila instead. One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, FLOOR!

Just chimin’ back in to say nitey nite! See y’all in Herbs shiny and new MMP!

swampus, tequila and I haven’t spoken since that awful fight we had back in university. I refuse to be friends with a liquor that tries to turn my insides out.

Feeling much better after wolfing down some greasy Chinese food. Wonton soup is my new best friend.

Muppet the worm got to ya did it?

Ok, so I lied about seein’ y’all tomorrow. Get over it. So There! :stuck_out_tongue:

I decided to eat the rest of the Chinese food (crispy chicken with chicken fried rice) just a little bit ago cause I got hungry. I ate my fortune cookie after that. To wit…

Our first and last love… is self-love

<snerk> away!

ETA: Ima have me some ice cream and then beddy bye. Nite Y’all!

…in bed
<snerk>

Sigh, still no freakin’ bags. Two flights have come in from Honolulu today, but somehow they still didn’t manage to get our bags on them.

The next one arrives at 10:30 tonight. I need our bags, all my toiletries are in there, along with my diamond pendant necklace which I stupidly put in there when I changed it out for the pearl necklace my husband bought me in Kauai. I meant to move it to my wallet, but forgot about it in the hurly burly of packing stuff up to leave Kauai.

When I last spoke to the airline, I let them know I wasn’t happy and didn’t understand why now three flights later, we still don’t have our bags. I was nice about it, but still. She told me there were three other people in the same boat as us who all took the same stupid connecting flight from Kauai to Honolulu.

She also told me that Mesa didn’t move our bags in time from the Kauai hop. I told her I couldn’t understand that either, because our layover was over two hours. Jeebus. I’m hoping like hell we don’t lose them for good.

Still, I’m trying hard to not let this color the wonderful time I had.
