I had bad BBQ yesterday!

The Hogs were barbecued, they say.

For tasty grilled meats I would gladly pay.

With salads and beer–that’s the way.

It’s America’s birthday this week.

It’s picnic fun at its peak.

Early, but Happy Fourth to my American friends!

Let’s hope this country never ends!

We’ll be celebrating the USA’s 250th in just eight years!

That’s a whole lot of cookouts and a whole lotta beers

For fireworks, we have to cross the state line.

Don’t forget the Mann Act, and things will be fine.

But who’ll spend that day reading old patriotic speeches?

I am hoping for sweet peaches.

Be careful with fireworks and don’t lose a thumb.

I’ll have some cherry pie, please, but will pass on the plum.
