Hunting for a Bar - A Transatlantic MMP

Death chicken was good. We eated it all up. Yep, we were pigs tonight.

puggy, A perv in the breakroom! Glad they caught him.

MOOOOOOM we use military time at work. It’s fun to watch people countin’ on their fingers tryin’ to figure out what time 1430 is.

The buffalo chickie tits were *spicy!!! *My lips is burnin’! I’ll have some punkin pie a little later to counteract the burn. Purely medicinal, of course.

swampy, after 36+ years, I have the 24-hour clock nailed! But we have a bunch of noobs at work who were never militarily inclined. They’re so cute!

All I know is, I’m pretty much ready for beddybye by around 2030 each night.

I got me a cravin’ for some sweet N.O.T. pie. I might have to go get me some sweet N.O.T. one day this week and make one. I lurves me some sweet N.O.T. pie.

's’all I gots today

Arggggghhhh. Yes, that’s my reaction to work today. My first meeting of the day was just dripping with Teh Stupid. I was Not A Nice Person and did not play well with others because they were pretty much wasting my time. And should have known better. Fortunately, one of my former colleagues was on my bus coming home and we were able to vent at each other about pretty much the same thing.

I have now had dinner: a can of corn with cheese melted on it was the entree. Chocolate is serving as dessert. We’ll see if I need anything else. Prolly not.

The rest of the world uses the 24-hour clock as it’s default official time, so I’ve become accustomed to it over the years in various travels. If I’m tired, I have to translate, but mostly I just know.

Ewwww, Puggy, I’m so sorry. Not a shared break room experience, but worked (not closely, thank Og!) on a project team with a perv. He seemed so nice. Ewwwwww.

I’ve added that recipe to the blog, taxi. Thanks for sharing.

Glad the migraine is gone, Drae.

Off to knit and further distract myself with online programming.

Hugs.

GT

I can’t even begin to think about The Finger. <shudders> owowowowowowowow.
Happy Birthday, Lisslar.

Am home early from a quasi-productive day. I am learning tons, but have so much more to learn. I am kind of feeling overwhelmed (again). I did go to library school–so how come I don’t know anything?

Library committee meeting tomorrow. I am prepared.

Mac n’ cheese in the oven as we post. Then bath and jammies and maybe ST:TOS or something else or sleep.

Yay, boos, hugs, etc.

HAH! eleanorigby forgot the Secret MMPers code and actually said who LiLi IS! Now I feel secure in adding my own wishes for a happy, happy day, and year!

Oh, crap. Now I face The Punishment, don’t I? No use begging for mercy from these folks…

I’m taking a short break from working on clay stuff. It’s been a very weird day. The good news, though, is that I finally managed to get my grandma to go to the doctor to have her knee checked out. The final straw was a very ugly scene but at least she’s going and I’m going with her. She’s 80 and I love her and worry about her alot.

Happy Birthday Li-Li!

Ugh, what a freakin’ ridiculous day. I came into work to find some bullshit e-mails about some BCAs I was working on. I had completed them. The region was trying to say the suspense was the 1st, but I had e-mail telling me the suspense was the 7th. At any rate, I responded professionally, stating they were done and had been forwarded to my boss to present and staff through command. My boss told me not to sweat it.

I was still in considerable pain, my boss noticed and told me to go home. Unfortunately, I had to take my daughter to UW because her bus had driven right past her. She managed to make it to one class today.

I returned from that, only to go to the wrecking yard to remove my daughter’s personal stuff from her totaled car.

I returned from that to find out the battery in my son’s car was dead. I tried to just take the paperwork down to the emissions station so they could do the waiver inspection, but noooooo, I had to bring the vehicle.

I returned home again, and had my son install a new battery in his car and we drove back down to emissions, where they failed us, but gave us the waiver, since we had spent more than 150 bucks diagnosing the problem.

We then drove out to the licensing agency to transfer title and buy tabs. We paid a grand for that car, but their computer said it was worth over 3400 bucks and wanted to charge us tax and license on that. Because Pep Boys didn’t put the cost of the transmission repair down, we had to drive out to another automotive repair shop and wheedle a written estimate out of them. We needed the amount of that, plus the other repairs knocked off the supposed 3400 value of the car.

After they kindly provided that for free, we drove back out to the licensing agency, where we finally succeeded in transferring title and license to me. Another 178 bucks down.

I’ve only been home for the last 15 minutes or so.

All this after getting home initially at a little after 11:00 am. My back is still killing me.

Tomorrow, I report for jury duty. Yay…not. Sigh, I just want this week to be over and for things to go right.

actually, most of our nicknames are sort of obvious. However, I think I need help coming up with one for you

It’s a toughie… I’ve been pondering it for a few hours, and I’m still not coming up with anything particularly clever.

The best I can come up with is “Good Boy” (or is that “Good Girl”?), which I hereby nominate as The Potential Official Mumper Nickname for Fetchund, as this is what you usually call a Hund who fetches.

Since the board ate my post this morning:
Happy Birthday, LiLI!!!

Canes won, saw some friends, great time.

I was thinking Dax (or Dachs), but that’s because my mind is kind of twisted!

Happy (slightly belated) Birthday LiLi!!!

Fetchund? Gopher.

Cos he’s a hound that goes pher it :stuck_out_tongue:

Gimme a break, it’s 7:20 and today I have PoliSci so there’s no point in waking up before that class ends. Being awake during Democracy-Rah-Rah class would raise my blood pressure and we don’t want that to happen, do we?

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN Don juan go today!

However, I must. Thus, I go forage for food and caffienate some more prior to work purtification.

I say we call Fetchund Heel. Or Sit. Or Stay. Or Rollover and Play Dead.

Later Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, off to work.

Morning all! I’m up, caffeinating, heading to the docs for an appt. first then to work. Soon it will be three down, two to go until a THREE DAY WEEKEND!! Woo hoo!

How about BringIt? Although I like Gopher, too…

She, by the way.

And if it helps, the original Icelandic Fetchund was my old girl, Wizard. She was a fabulous, if ball-obsessed Flyball Master Champion.

Today will be more “try to get everything done that will need to get done until forever” day… I’m getting tired. Does Caribou deliver?

I like Gopher. Besides, Doggio is taken…

Humpday blurfs to y’all. I’m brekkied, and about to arise for my second cup of WTHU. I’s it beer o’clock yet?
