Stauderhorse…heee.
I’ve been grocery shopping and have knitted (I’ve knit 1/2 a scarf; just the thing for summer :D) and really not done all that much else. Really need to do some shredding and sorting and stuff. Eventually.
Back later.

Laundry is done. I’m knitting like crazy. **FCD **is home - we have a fuel leak on the boat. rah.
He doesn’t want to eat supper. I’m getting hungry but I don’t know what to have. Guess it’s forage time.
Cottonfield County news flash: the UFO guy from last week is presently leading 2 deputies in a chase. He’s riding a scooter, nekkid, and the deputies were called when he was standing in the middle of a semi-busy road naked, shouting, “Die Die Die!!!”
Unknown if he was wanting vengeance on the green men for giving him an anal probe.
Nekkid UFO guy is in custody. We don’t know if he’s headed for the jail or the loonie bin.
I worked, came home, and had a very long nap. It got up to 97 today.
Happy Birthday, Pie!!![sub][sub][sub]Birthday Grope[/sub][/sub][/sub]
BBBobbio, loonie bin.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIE!
Not much happening. I have no energy, which I figure is probably because of the ear and the antibiotics together. But since it’s getting noticeably better, hey, I don’t care. At least there’s no more green stuff coming out, just some liquidy stuff that tickles like a mofo as it comes out. Gaaaaaah! That better stop quick or I’m going to lose it. But hey, I can hear out of that ear again!
I vote for the loonie bin for UFO guy, Bobbio. Also {{{{{}}}}}.
Probably both, but my question was which one first.
Time to get back to sleep. I have a date with da fishes in a couple of hours.
BBBobbio has a date with the fishes! What’d you do!
Mornin’ Y’all! Yep I am up. Heck, sleepin’ in til five is late for me. Besides, in a bit I need to start fryin’ chicken. JoeDawg’s Daddy’s Father had a knee replacement in March and he’s been havin’ a tough time. I reckon at eightyfive it would be a tough time. Anywho, he lurves my fried chicken and bein’ as this is Father’s Day and all, I’m fryin’ some chicken and makin’ a peach/blueberry cobbler (another favorite) JDD is takin’ care of the rest of the food. We’re goin’ up to his father’s place and takin’ lunch. Just seemed like a nice thing to do today.
Ok, need more caffiene and get started on chicken fryin’ shortly.
Later Y’all!
Also awake - almost 5 on the dot for me. I made a feeble attempt to roll over and restart the snooze mode, but Taz would have none of that. So I’m up. Kibble has been dispensed.
FCD has done a lot of research for this ice cream job, and much of the company info is really great. The recruiter told him about their interview technique and philosophy and he found some sample questions on line, so he’s been going over all of them. I hope after all this work, he at least gets called for an in-person interview.
No idea what the plans for today are. I expect my sweetie will call his dad (who is facing another back surgery this week - good thought and prayers are appreciated) but beyond that, who knows?? I should probably take a little time and sort thru all these papers accumulating on my desk. Yeah, there’s a good time.
Caffeine would probably be a good place to start…
Well, I ain’t sleepin’ with 'em…
Morning all. I’m caffeinated, and off to work. Gordie taught Nelly to chew on books. He is officially a Bad Influence[sup]TM[/sup].
FCM, I’ll keep FCD’s dad in my prayers.
FCDDad is in my thoughts and prayers.
Chicken is fried and cobbler will be through bakin’ in about twenty minutes. I am also makin’ gravy cause, well, duh, I fried chicken and we are havin’ smashed **N.O.T. ** so gravy is a must!
I told ol’ y’all know who I felt like a farm wife. Up at the crack of dawn fryin’ chicken cause the preacher’s comin’ over for Sunday dinner after meetin’.
He says what goes on inside my haid is fascinatin’. Skeery but fascinatin’. Any wonder why I keep him around?
always!
The Eggs Benedict was a hit! Go me! Fried chicken is the farmer wife’s staple, Swampy. Good on ya!
That’s one dish I never feel good about. Mine is always too brown on the outside and too pink near the bone. Church’s or Popeye’s - mmm!
I have to go look for a recipe I saw somewhere, for Fancy Pants King Ranch Chicken. It sounded just a step up from plain ol’ King Ranch Chicken, so I wanted to make it today.
The only thing biting were the horseflies. ::scratches bite lumps::
It’s been a busy weekend chez Boo. Friday night was grocery shopping and yummy Chinese - I realised that since I changed my diet plan, there are less naughty points in my usual order from the Chinese than before so that was a bonus. Saturday was for sleeping late and going into town to do errands. The day’s errands involved lunch in the pub, going to the butcher’s, then the health food shop and then, strangely, back to the pub. Well, it was a different pub and we were kind of stranded…
See, there’s a main road through town that the bus goes along. We came out of the pub where we had lunch and realised half the road was blocked off by a couple of police cars, and the fire brigade had two trucks along there too. So we decided to go and do our errands, but when we’d done them, the road was still blocked so we realised there was no chance of getting a bus home. The queue of buses waiting to get along the main road coming into town was blocking the main junction so if we’d tried to get a cab instead, it would have been stuck waiting for the junction to get all unblocked.
The obvious solution was to go and wait it out in the pub. So he had a couple of pints and I settled for vodka as it’s got less naughty points than beer. After that little diversion, we went home and the rest of the afternoon/evening proceeded as planned.
This morning I was up early and left 'im indoors still sleeping off the two bottles of wine he got through last night. I went off to my friend’s house and helped her dismantle her old conservatory so the builders can come and rip up the patio, lay some new drainage gubbins and build a new patio with a bigger fancier conservatory of top. After that, I came home and 'im indoors asked if I could drive him to the computer fair…after which I decided we should head into town to another pub for lunch. So this weekend I have mostly been in the pub!
Since getting home, I’ve done one load of his laundry and there’s a second load in the washer. There is a third load waiting after that but I won’t have anywhere to dry it until loads one and two are dry. He usually does his own laundry but I was fed up with it being spread all over the floor, largely because the laundry basket was full to overflowing. The sensible solution, which he seems to be missing, is that laundry should go in the washer and then into the bathroom to dry. That way, the laundry basket gets emptied and the floor stays clear. In case you’re wondering, and I know you are, it’s his laundry basket. Mine is less than half full and all my dirty stuff is in there. I do not have a floordrobe.
I did ironing and sorted out my chest of drawers too, so now things are in a better order (sorted out work tops from fun tops, and summer from winter). Eventually I will move the winter stuff out but I need to clear out another drawer in the base of my wardrobe first and I am not ready to tackle that yet - got to hem a pair of trousers for work first.
Oh, the life of domesticity. You’re all so jealous, aren’t you?
Good morning everyone and Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there!
I have a lot of stuff to get accomplished in the next few hours, sigh. I have cleaning and shopping to do.
I won twice at 99 last night. Before we grilled and played 99, we played badminton, just for something different. That was fun too.
Well, I suppose I should start tackling my chores.
Bobbio, I can’t wait to hear what they do with UFO guy. My goodness, he’s an entertaining news story.
Oh, my UFO guy sounds like a keeper. As in: he needs to be kept in custody somewhere for quite some time.
Harry Shearer is playing a weird song right now (not unusual). The refrain is “Cowboy lips are all right.”
Happy Father’s Day, everyone!!! And prayers and good thoughts heading out for FCD’s Dad; let us know how things go.
Your day today sounds pretty much like what I should be doing right now, BooFae. (Except the laundry is mine, all mine!)
I’ve been de-heathenized and brunchified, so I should get moving. Right?
Back later…

The Father’s Day gift dilemna has been solved. He wants a one terabyte internal hard drive for his computer. I guess I’ll have to head off to Best Buy.
Of course, now I have to wait for the hot water to generate again so I can take my shower. My son takes looong showers with the pressure on at full blast.
Dang, I just found out my daughter has to work today. Her shift is 1:30 to 10:00, so she’s going to miss out on the grilling.
My son just left for work and gets off at five. What a bummer, Father’s Day and the kids can’t be home.
Oh well, I’m sure there are going to be many more days where they won’t be here to celebrate things with us, it’s just something we have to get used to.
Happy father’s day to all the dad’s out there.
Hard drive purchased and installed. He now has a 400 gig hard drive and a one terabyte hard drive. Room for all of his games now.
Sigh, back to straightening so I can head to the butcher shop for ribeye steaks.
