Hvert ertu að fara?Iceland! (a pictorial MMP)

**Muppet **- the big birthday to-do might be reasonable if it was for a really significant milestone - like 50. But 30? pffffft - unless she’s a cancer survivor who didn’t expect to see 30, I think it’s way over the top.

The only wedding I was ever in was at age 10 (?) when my cousin Connie got married and I was a junior bridesmaid. I did a reading for one sister, sang for another, was merely a guest for my bro, and didn’t even attend the other sister’s on-again-off-again-groom-in-jail-2-months-later-divorced-shortly-after wedding. * <whew>* Oh, yeah, I did do mother-of-the-bride last year…

And not that my approval matters, but a destination wedding that is also a vacation is acceptable. I have a very low Bridezilla threshhold.

Dog blankets in the dryer, soggy towels in the washer. Floor vacuumed. Guess I should feed my critters - I’m 15 minutes late!

I disagree. It’s a rather significant milestone. I’ve been informed I’m getting a Last Day party next year.

I’m tired enough that the flea treatment and awful co-worker topics ran together into one. So, I propose using Advantage on the coworker. I’m sure it would make things better.

Seriously, though, that’s one messed up person, Taters. So sorry.

Yeah, sounds like your friend has an interesting take on reasonable ways to celebrate birthdays, Muppet. I can imagine taking a trip to celebrate someone’s birthday, but only in a really small group.

Guess I should go find some food.

Back after a bit.

GT

Spaz that’d be a cool party. I’d go to one like that.

Burgers and fries yum! Especially homemade.

BBBobbio I’ve been meanin’ to tell you I’ve made several converts to TVCTPMO at work. One of my work buds (we are each others’s smartass soul brother) loves it for the, as he put it, “many levels of deep and abiding paranoia to it.” I thought you’d appreciate that.

I have been enjoying my day off by relaxing and sleeping! So glad that it’s the weekend.

Taters, so sorry that co-worker is so immature. SnowBunny, sending healing vibes your way, including pain lowering ones. FCM, the only wedding party I’ve ever been in was also as a jr. bridesmaid, at almost 11, for my 9 yrs. older uncle (he was almost 20). My bridesmaid dress was aqua, which was one of my favorite colors.

I know I’m forgetting stuff I wanted to comment on. :frowning: I’ve got a cheeseburger though and it’s distracting me. Happy weekend all!

I had a patient die on me tonight. I’m SOOOOOO not in a good mood right now.

Sorry, Bobbio. That’s really tough. :frowning:

We had an attack of Teh Crazies at work today. A lady had blocked the little driveway next door with her car. Some dude in a minivan behind her wasn’t happy, so he pulled up her bumper, leaned on his horn for 10 minutes, and started spewing profanity. He attracted a crowd, one of whom called the police. He finally reverse 100 feet, and sped off. Some lady came in and picked up the murder trial file she left in a shopping car two days ago. I hope she’s never my defense attorney.

Sorry, VBob. :frowning:

swampy, tell your friend it isn’t paranoia if everybody is out to get you.

FCM, Advantix works. All the fleas and ticks are on me, not the critters.

Taters, I had a boss like that. She quit.

Up. Actually slept about 7 hours uninterrupted - huzzah!

It’s overcast - doggone it, will summer ever get here?

Um, that’s all I’ve got. Good morning. I need caffeine.

Sorry to hear that, Bobbio. :frowning:

And doggio, that certainly sounds, erm…memorable.

Happy Birthday, CutiePie!!!

Shouldn’t be up yet (I stayed up too late knitting), but here I am. Considering going outside while it’s still cool to get some gardening done. Looks like the predictions of storms for today were wrong. Yay!

happy birthday, pie!!!
[size=2]smooches and hugs to you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIE!!!

I’m sorry, Bobbio.

The coffee has finished and I’m sitting here enjoying a cup.

We’re going to a friend’s place to grill tonight. I hope it doesn’t rain.

Other than that, not too much else going on here in Taterland.

Sorry about your patient, BBBBobbio :frowning:

A happy birthday to CutiePie; hope you’re having a grand time!

Even a three day weekend goes back too quickly, because now it’s half over. But I’ll think about that another day …(lol channeling Scarlett today, I guess!). I’ve been watching Retrovision, which is what TVLand used to be like. They show Wagon Train!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday.

It rained then stopped, but it’s clouded over again. My cucumber plants are all but dead - I’m pretty sure they’ve got root rot. There are a few tomatoes on a couple of plants, but they’ve gotten the same rain - I wouldn’t be surprised if they died, too.

Next year, I’ll have LOTS bigger planters, and the bottom inch or two will be gravel. Watch, next year will be parched.

***Happy CutieDay!!! ***

**FCD **has gone back down to the boat to futz about. I’ve got the 4th load in the washer and the 3rd in the dryer. We stopped at the Amish wagon and got corn this morning - that may be the entirety of supper.

The kids are running errands. The critters are crashed. There is nothing of interest to me on TV. Boring day. But nice all the same.

I just finished working out on the weight bench. I was stupid and didn’t get something in my stomach today, so I had no stamina or strength. I did the best I could and my muscles will thank me later, I’m sure.

I have to run out and get Mr. Taters a Father’s Day gift, but he’s being all coy and not telling me what he wants. The kids already ordered their present to him, but it hasn’t arrived yet. I don’t think it’ll get here today, either. They ordered it last week, but it must be taking the boat from China or something.

Time to clean up!

Hi. Thanks, guys. It’s definitely been one of my more interesting birthdays. But I’ll have to tell you that tale later on. For now I am worn out.

Howdy Y’all! Today I can’t decide what I hate more, iPhones, their stoopid users (sorry Soapy not you), or stoopid ATT and Apple store employees who do not know how to activate ‘em. Aww who am I kiddin’. I hate all of 'em with the intensity of a thousand bazillion suns.

So how have y’all been?

BBBobbio sorry about the patient dying.

Taters get him underwear and socks. That’ll teach him to act all coy about a present.

doggio my take on it is, “it ain’t paranoia when you know they’re out to get ya!”

And now…

Feliz Cumpleanos, BonitaPastel!

(Happy Birthday, Cutiepie!)

Not much going on this week, except that the other night I was really restless and couldn’t sleep. That was the same night I discovered that I can have multiple orgasms.

Oh yes.

I’ll be in…well, you know.

Happy Birthday, Pie!
Can’t wait to hear your tale!

{{{Bobbio}}}

I vote for iBob for Marley’s nickname. Plus, it will annoy swampy 'cuz it will remind him of iPhones!

My dad doesn’t want presents, so we’re taking him to cheap, good Chinese for dinner tonight. I’m making his fave breakfast tomorrow, Eggs Benedict. Then steak for dinner!

I took the aminals to the park this morning. It’s so freakin’ hot here. It was 90° by 10:00 am. I came home, gave them both a bath, and took a shower with almost all cold water. Whee! I’ve been doing laundry and making a grocery list - typical Saturday.

We’ve been having temps in the high nineties for weeks, and no rain since last month. We are near drought levels, and surrounding counties have issued burn bans. That should be interesting around the 4th. My neighborhood is outside the “no-fireworks” city limit.

My poor flowers are wilting, despite watering nearly every day. Give us some of your unwanted rain! Our AC is working very well, though!
