I can't believe I'm the first one up MMP

Howdy all! I’ve been a bit absent this week so far - chalk that up to a visit to Walmart on Monday, and loss of cable tv/Internet/phone on Tuesday (more on that later, but if you’ve friended me on facebook, you already know! sorry!). I have read, though, and am sending out some more healing thoughts to BBBBBBobbio, and hugs to any others who need them too.

The Monday visit to Walmart was made after noon - a bad decision on my part. There were just too many people in the store for me! One older man suffered a “meltdown,” (seriously, I thought it was someone who hadn’t taken their meds), and there were just too many kids darting everywhere, as if they wanted to get run over by a motorized scooter …! Scared me half to death! Future visits will most definitely be done before noon!

We’ve been getting the monsoon rains here, so yay for that; Monday night we had serious thunder storms most of the evening. So much that we lost power around 3 am for a couple of hours!! When that happens, I have to switch over to my emergency supplement oxygen, which is a big tank. The power came back on around 5:30 am, but then the cable/phone/internet went out some time in the next hour or two (not sure when, I had gone back to sleep). A call to comcast was nearly fruitless - it wasn’t until the very end of the call that they finally admitted that there was an outage in our area (D’oh!) and it should be back on line by noon. D’oh again, it wasn’t completely fixed until around 1:30 pm! I was not a happy camper; my background “noise” was whatever radio station I could scrounge up; I did get a bit more sleep but not much. I’m a tired camper now.

I am so glad that Wednesday is here now. Have a great day all.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 73 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of ONLY 89 for the day. Well, BRRRRRRRRRR!!!

BBBobbio glad you’re out of the horsepistol again. Now stay out!

Herbs :eek:Wally*World:eek: any time of the day or night is skeery. Glad your cable/phone/intartoobz is all workin’ again.

Nettie yay for mouth feelin’ better!

I’m guessin’ MOOOOOOM and Higgs are on the road to Flahrduh by now.

Ok, that’s all I got. Time for more caffiene and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence.

Happy (especially for Sean) Hump Day Y’all!

So what the heck was I doing Saturday? Oh yeah thats right, nothing! Nope wasn’t me. Behind where I live there is a farm that has a garage band or should I call it a barn band, but they never play after dark. Mr. Jynxsters has been known to strum the guitar, bass and play the drums (not at the same time) but he didn’t do any of those either Saturday. We didn’t hear anything so we must not be that close of neighbors.

Rain, rain go away, we are swamped!

Blurf.

Good Og,** I WANNA GO TO IRK!** I have no idea how VWife sits around this house 24/7, I hate it.

Testing, testing… Is this thing on?.. erm, hello from London, England…
hot - too hot, in fact - and it’s lunchtime… time for a run

Hi Pie!
What part of London? Are you a Whovian? BooFae isn’t and she shames her countrymen.

But srsly now, pull up a keyboard and join the party.

This is EmilyG live from Toronto, once again. I plan to have more adventures today.

Welcome pie!

Look! We have pie[sup]2[/sup]! Welcome! When come back bring…

Irk consists of settin’ up schedules to make monitorin’ visits to each place where I have placed participants. ‘Tis an annual thang that must be done first quarter of each year. ICK! Lots of travelin’ for da bear over the next few weeks.

Good morning, y’all.

So I managed to sleep off an otherwise lousy day. Today is going to be different. The sun is (finally) shining, the birds are singing (except me; I can’t sing), and it’s not going to be 98 degrees with 200% humidity. And I have a job interview this afternoon, so that’s good.

Today’s our weekly farmer’s market. Tonight’s dindin will be the customary half-chicken (which I will actually get on the first go-round and not have to make three trips to get), corn on the cob, and some other chicken-friendly vegetable.

Have a good day, y’all!

Happy Hump DaY!
Today is surgery day and I am waiting for the N.O.sticky from the wipes they gave me to go away so I can get dressed.

I have to leave around 10 so I have a few minutes.

I am so thirsty.

Anyway, no idea what time I will get home.

Welcome back BBBobbio

this shit is getting old

The realtor just sent me a text saying that she submitted my offer and the house has just gone into auction status

I am so fucking tired of this shit!!!

I don’t want to be mad at her but several times I have missed things because she is not available

this is getting old!!!
we are still going to try to get it through

Happy Humpday! Also laundry day.

pie[sup]2[/sup] r noob. Bring chocloate and beerverages.

Hope the surgury goes well, sari. And bummer about the house. maybe it’s time for a new Realtor?

Enjoy the adventures, Midget!

Herbs, glad you have power and Interweb Toobs again. And :eek:Wally-World:eek: can give the stoutest of men a meltdown.

Nettie ,glad the mouth is better.

Time for a new realtor.

Came back.
Brought Pie.

Sari prayers, good thoughts, appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re the surgery. Also, I third that it may be time for a new realtor.

Rockin’ I say chikin, fresh corn, and fresh ‘maters. That’s some good eatin’!

Ok, back to irk.

Be honest; knowing me you weren’t 100% sure when you did the search. :stuck_out_tongue:

In a more fegalah sense?

I’ve developed a fondness for Austintown. Having a 1-story motel (so I can park outside my door), a Harley shop and a Quaker Steak all in a cluster is a major plus and West Side Cats really does an amazing job with a lot of cats who most shelters would put down. And they don’t talk as funny as the folks around Vienna — who insist on pronouncing it Vii-anna.

Knew a guy once who was doing great until compensation set it. He never did heal right after that. :stuck_out_tongue: Glad you’re doing well and here’s hoping the rest of your summer is less exciting.

Here I thought it was more like this
PS

Hey Sari, watch out for the tornado!

You know ------- if I stopped doing these mass replies everywhere my post count could break 1.2 per day!

A friend of mine, the guard at the Library was, or had been a minister. He visited people in the hospital, so when he went it for surgery, a little old lady from the church visited him. When he explained what was wrong with him, she said, “I had an uncle the same way.” snapped her fingers, “Went like that!”

Glad you’re back out of the hospital Bob.

I am in the wrong end of this ship repair business.

A retired admiral started his own company last year, and got his friends at NAVSEA to write him a tailor-made $10M/year multi-year contract to fix valve actuators. The only problem is, NAVSEA didn’t talk to the manufacturer of these actuators, or the manufacturer’s sole authorized repair representatives [COUGH] Technical Thingies [/COUGH]. They didn’t even give us (or the mfr) a chance to bid on this contract. And now this retired admiral is pitching a hissy fit because I won’t sell him repair parts for these actuators.

Look buddy, we’ve been working with this mfr for 6 years now, we’ve got a complete library of reference manuals and parts lists, we’ve sent technicians out to the factory for a two-week course on building, installing and repairing these monsters. If you want to sub-contract us to do the repairs for your brand new company, send me an RFQ with the work you expect to be needed. Otherwise, get in line with the rest of the waterfront that’s pissed off at me because I won’t sell them repair parts for this (and many other) manufacturers that we’re the repair reps for.

Shhh! Don’t give VWife any ideas.
