Oh, right, birdfeeders for wild birds. I even have one (with seed) :smack:
Seeing Pintsize barf birdseed was hilarious. And Claire was bluffing! I love her so much.
I know it’s petty, but I just wanted to complain and say I dislike the new font he’s using for the human speech bubbles.
He hasn’t changed the font for hundreds of strips. The bold italic Marigold is using in today’s last panel is just a thing Jeph uses for the effect of, y’know, emphasis.
Today’s strip is magnificent!
3080-3082 all used the new font. Wasn’t noticeable in 3082 because the only (human) line was in all caps.
He seems to have switched back to the usual font, though. So either he decided he didn’t like it either, or got complaints… or maybe he just temporarily forgot what font he was using? Or had to use a different one due to technical difficulties?
It just occurred to me why Jeph decided to drop Yelling Bird from the comic.
He would have just been stealing lines that Jeph wants May to deliver.
I enjoyed today’s strip immensely. Is this the first we’ve seen of Momo crushing on Sven? That is just so ADORABLE.
I am planning on working “Nice (fashion accessory), dorkus. Do you actually think that looks cool, or is it just to (practical application of said fashion accessory) while you’re sucking your own dick?” into all my everyday conversations!
In what is very likely an April Fool’s joke, today’s strip has an announcement that QC has been sold to Conde Nast Publications…
No, she was shown blushing around him back before she got her current chassis.
Unfortunately, that was several years ago, and Jeph’s archive system sucks for finding specific strips, so I can’t bring it up.
I hope this is an April Fool’s joke - I didn’t think of the date when I read it this morning. But, now that you mention it, his announcement did include the phrase, “Conde Nast, owners of such respected media properties as Pitchfork, Vanity Fair, and Golf Digest”, which did seem like an odd listing of “respected properties”.
I am breathing a little easier now.
Aaand, here is Momo crushing on Sven. She is still in her original chassis at this point; the chassis you see in this comic is Momo’s fantasy.
Haha, I noticed it sometime this morning around 4:00 AM when I couldn’t sleep. The first thing I did was check this thread to see if anyone else had mentioned it yet. I was excited at the prospect of being the first to post it here. I was half way through the post when the light came on that today April Fools Day; and I just closed my browser and decided to stay off the internet for today.
I’m probably better off not thinking too hard about the love life of cartoon robots, but that strip reminds me that topless May looks like a Barbie doll. Which brings up all the obvious questions of a “fully functional” chassis, etc in regards to Momo’s daydreaming.
Edit: Of course, it’s well established that May’s chassis is junk so it may not be representative.
I don’t think Jacques lives in Nova Scotia, either.
He lives in or near Halifax I think.
So he does! I thought that was part of the gag.
He moved late last year. Disrupted the schedule of the comic for a while…then again, when he had to make a trip back to the US to see his doctor.
Well, I hope the bartender that is in the latest comic (3210) doesn’t become a new character because I hate her already.
This. Is. 2016: In. An. Era. Where. We. Recognize. The. Dangers. Of. Drinking. And. Driving., Bars. Don’t. Insist. That. You. Must. Buy. Alcohol.
Clin-ton did say he was waiting for a bus. And he’s trying to sit in a beverage-selling establishment without purchasing a beverage. If he were in a group, in the capacity of “designated driver”, ordering water would be one thing. Sitting alone and taking up space while trying to get free water is BS.
this sounds like another cartoon that I read because people on here although I think sluggy freelance is long gone (although as over the top it was getting I think 90 percent of the mains were dead by the time I lost track of it )
