I Might Be Starting The MMP

spidey, I’m thinking that Cocoa Puffs would be good in the peanut butter squares of crispy cerael.

ruble, I hope everything ends well with your coworker.

I met a new neighbor when I was walking Nelson this afternoon. They just moved into the complex across the fence and have a Yorkie pup who sniffed Nelson through the fence. She didn’t realize how close we live to the dog park, so we made a play date there this Saturday. Little Yoshie is adorable.

Second the notion, Mooooooommmmm

Spent 5 hours in the ER yesterday with my Mom, she fought the coffee table, leading with her chin. They glued her back together. She has dementia, wobbles like a weeble, does not remember she has a walker, and has an uncanny resemblance in motion to ET, when it was dressed as the old lady. All this, and a Thyroid that is hotter than Chernobyl.

FIL has heart problems, Parkinson’s, a bad foot, and now a broken face. Plus he’s dealing with depression. And he’s 88, which makes it all slower to heal. And he’s stubborn. It’s a tough situation.

FCD is packed and I’m about to crash. What a day…

**Alien ** hope your mom rallies. Ruble hope you all get answers soonest re coworker.

Alien, FCM/FCD {{{}}} and best wishes for your elder family members.

Mooooommm, BWI isn’t to bad to fly out of; less crowded that National and less frustrating than Dulles, IMHO.

Sunny, I wouldn’t say the movie is for everybody; there are some depressive scenes in it and apparently the most common word in top Russian circles is “F***”, but it is still fascinating if you like historical portraits.

Butters, may your week be slow.

Had a good soccer practice, 8 out of 9 boys made it, now we’ll see how the girls do tomorrow.

Sometimes prayers are answered but the answer is no and we get to save up more questions for that day ahead of us all. She was found dead in a motel room from an insulin overdose according to what we learned today. She lost her brother not too long ago and was having a hard time coming to terms. :frowning: On the good side TPTB relented and let us know that as things develop people will be informed. Maybe some of the changes among the bosses is helping in some ways.

I’m too drained even for the Dope so a couple quick cruises and then bedtime for this Bonzo.

Ruble I’m glad you were able to learn what happened to her, but sorry to hear the news was bad. My condolences to you and the team.

{{{hugs}}} to all dealing with parents.

I spent the evening playing games with friends. It was at my orchestra conductor’s place. They have 3 Cornish Rex cats, which I also enjoyed spending time with. I have little curly cat hairs on my clothes now.

Up ,caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.

**MetalMouse **- I know BWI well - all the way back to when it was called Friendship Airport and they had an observation deck outside where you could stand and watch the planes come and go. Even tho National is closer, BWI is more accessible. And last night, it occurred to me that if I do fly out on Sat, maybe Baby Engineer will give me a ride so I won’t have to retrieve my car from my sister when we get back. We shall see…

**FCD **is on his way. He slept well last night, which is good. Just hope he can stay alert for the drive. Poor guy. I will be glad to get his take on his dad’s condition. And I’m definitely glad he’ll be there to take care of his mother and drive her around. She refuses to give up her license, even tho she can barely see…

Meanwhile, I’ve got lots I want to get done before I go. I know my daughter is miserable, but I hope she holds off till Sunday…

Happy Tuesday!

Mornin’ all.

Sorry to hear about your coworker Ruble :frowning:

Soggy day here, after two days of actual springlike decent weather it’s not a big surprise though. I’m slogging away at skool stuff still; not too far off up to date now, but April 'n May are chock full 'o deadlines.

Might go shoe shopping this afternoon so’s I’m not stuck in staring at a screen all day. Ugh. We hates shoe shopping, yes, precious, we does.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 55 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 71 with clouds this mornin’ and N.O.S. this afternoon. Bathroom remodel continues and I shall also accomplish laundry today. Grilled chikin and sallit with cheesey garlic bread shall be supped upon tonight. Big excitatement!

{{{Ruble}}} sorry about your co-worker.

{{{Alien and FCD}}} no fun dealin’ with agin’ parents. This time last year I was dealin’ with my mom and in home hospice. Hard to believe it’s been almost a year since she died. Wow.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day!

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Up earlier then usual for me today yawn but I’m caffeinating. I don’t go in for several hours so I’m contemplating a mid morning nap a bit later…

{{{Hugs}}}} to all. Dealing with sick older folks is rough, on everyone involved, I think. and it’s scary about coworker, ruble!

Blurfage. I finally decided to move my personal laptop into the front office so I can read and post. I know yall were worried. Yesterday I moved the food from my mini fridge into the front office so looks like I am settling in.

Rosie’s Sig

Up and adulting; nothing specific but just in general. Its still pretty nippy and trying to decide between the car or a bike. Both make sense and sound like a good plan but bikes just always seem better. Thanks for the hugs. This isn’t the first loss we’ve had at Da Jungle but maybe because of ages and how often we worked the same lines I’m feeling it a little more. I guess the choice is never liking anyone and becoming a hermit and that doesn’t appeal to me so we’ll just stumble along. This weekend we’re hitting a couple amusements; one for a pre-season tour and another over by Cleveland for an actual event. Between that and Bessie I’m guessing my batteries will get a jump-start.

Assorted hugs to all that need them.

FCM, hoping all the travels go well.

Nothing much on the schedule for today; slept in to 7:30am and the sun is out and brightening the day, so I may have to actually do something…just don’t know what.

Happy Toosday!

The sun is shining, what woke me was the sun coming in through a crack between the shade and the window.
It’s cold though, supposed to warm up to 50.

Today is pick up groceries day, and doggie toenail trimming and ear cleaning day.
I have a bunch of stuff that needs to be snail mailed and since the post office is right by the grocery store, I have to remember to take all that with me.

Sunny I use the service where the store brings my groceries out to the car for me. I’ve been pretty happy with it. Sometimes they get something wrong, but nothing I can’t deal with. One time I ordered beef cubes and got cube steak. My biggest complaint has been that the store changed their website and now I can’t find anything, and this store doesn’t have the option to order from you last order like the store in the armpit did. They also stopped grouping like things together so it makes it harder to compare prices.
I also use Amazon for a lot of the staples, and for all the non food stuff like toilet paper, soap, shampoo, detergents, kitty litter, pet food, etc. It’s usually cheaper and they deliver.

We’ve started letting the cat downstairs several times a day now. I know that is where the mice are getting in and I’d rather he’d catch and kill them downstairs. Yesterday Ripple stole his catch from him and I am tired of dealing with it. He likes to toss the dead mouse around and at some point it will land on something other than the floor.
I will not be happy.

I’m sorry about your mom, Alien
and your FIL, FCM
I hope Roxy makes her appearance soon.

Sorry about your coworker Ruble

Time to get busy

Lunch break. Haven’t heard from **FCD **for about 3 hours or so. I expect a call any time now.

Other than that, work work work work work work.

**ruble **- didn’t mean to ignore you - I’m really sorry about your friend. Mortality sucks sometimes.

S’OK. For some reason I’m in one of those waves that seem to hit us as we age. Talked to a friend to order some parts for Bessie and learned his dog is in kidney failure and not long with us. Said doggie is a better person with more personality than most actual humans and many a large hairy biker will shed a tear when he passes. Not the average biker type dog; a little pug and cuter than heck.

I think I’ll request a couple 53 foot trailers tonight and unload some fluid (what we call loose boxes) ------ I feel like a good work-out.

The grocery pick up worked well. I think I’ll be doing that moving forward.

The vet has concluded that Pooka bear has Cushings Disease. We’ve tested for it before, and ruled it out, but now it looks like that’s what he has. I have a bit of a mad over it, because we could have been treating it for 3 years now. Water under the bridge though. He’ll start new medication this week and we’ll see how it goes. I’m hoping his quality of life improves.

Rain for the next week or so. Mixed sun and clouds today. Spring will arrive eventually, right?
