Plus Cornbread. Carbs have been consumed, and it’s not even 15 o’clock. Earlier, I spent 45 minutes getting snow off of the Prius, shovelling a path so I can take trash and recycling out tomorrow, getting the Prius onto the road to make sure I could, and moving more wood into the catio.
Made a yummy bean soup for supper, with enough left over for a couple of lunches. Dessert is punkin pie - slightly dried out from being in the fridge for a week (tho it was covered) but it’s still tasty, and cool whip helps the dry! 
I did 2 loads of laundry - I’ll maybe do 2 more when I get home tomorrow. I also tidied the kitchen, including emptying the dishwasher that I ran the day before we left - everything was dry. 
Now it’s time to assume the recline position - well, after I take Higgs out. I’m not turning her loose in the yard any more till we talk with Ben. Onward!!
I had a thunderstorm come through 15 minutes after I closed the windows, and certain people still haven’t pooped today. Stoopid dog.

We had booked PCR tests with one test center, but Switzerland changed the rules, so we booked with another test center. According to the current rules, we only need antigen tests, so I hope we can change them tomorrow. I’m not willing to try changing it online - too many things can go wrong.
After two weeks with my parents I may need to do some drastic damage control. Glad my parents are good cooks, but they had 2 years of spoiling to catch up on.
Still too much white stuff outside, even though it’s supposed to get a touch above freezing.
Suppose I should go finish packing. Eventually I’ll run out of stuff to pack.

Same here. Except for Wednesday, daytime high temperatures are expected to be above freezing for the 10-day forecast.
Evening all. Nappage lasted over 90 minutes, so I call it sleepage. Not watching much tackleball, reading instead. Big Bowl O’Sallit for dinner and the rain finally came about 7pm…now we’ll see how bad it gets. Cold air behind it, supposed to have snow by Moanday. Oh joy.

Had Bojangles seasoned chicken, with collards and black eyed peas for dinner. Hopefully that will help with 2022.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 77 with heavy tstorms predicted for later this afternoon into the evenin’. Tomorrow’s high is predicted to be around 55. Go figure. The big items on today’s agenda are deheathenization (I shall Verge) and the Epiphany party this evenin’ which shall be at the home of the Senior Warden. He is much braver than me. If the weather gets especially nasty we may reconsider goin’ to the party. We shall see. N.O,L. shall be comprised of leftovers from yestiddy’s NYD feast. Today is also OYKW’s bday, but, at his request it shall be very low key. He said gettin’ to be with our best IRL buds and havin’ such a good time with them is the best bday thing he could imagine.

Rain rain rain… then tonight, they’re promising (?) snow snow snow - theoretically 3-6". I’m thinking we won’t be getting our gutters cleaned as scheduled tomorrow. Swell. And I get to take FCD to the hospital in the wee dark of the morning for his surgicals (I think he has to be there by 5.) Looks like tomorrow will be in interesting day. Dammit. I foresee some shoveling of the driveway happening.
For now, tho, just caffeinating and running the ice maker till it’s time to shower and head out. I’m absolutely not looking forward to yet another day of driving, but with luck, I’ll be home by 2. Also not looking forward to telling my mom she owes us $800 for new tires on her car. Actually, the tires were $110 each, but mount, balance, pressure sensors, and alignment, plus taxes and disposal fees pretty much doubled that. She can afford it - she just won’t be happy. Neither were we, but it did have to be done.
On the plus side, she gets balancing, rotating, and pressure check for free for the life of the tires. They’re rated for 65K miles - her car is a 2014 with 53K miles on it now - I’m pretty sure the tires will last longer than Mom will. Not being snarky - she’s just become the typical little old lady who just drives to church and the market. She doesn’t do much else these days. Moving on…

Currently not sleeping due to many reasons, but the COVID test arrangements are stressing me.
I will be very happy to be on the plane to Germany. Once we are in Germany, the connecting flight to Switzerland should be a breeze. And if it’s not, we can take a train, which just takes a little more time.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. It’s raining, and it’s suposed to rain all day. It’s also supposed to drop 50 degrees in the next 24 hours or so, with some snow flurries around 10.

swampy, any repairs will likely be covered by warranty (the car only has 36K miles on it). It’s the inconvenience and the worry that I won’t make it into the dealership with it (20 miles).

Morning all. Temperature is 57F and that is as hot as it’ll get today, temps are heading downward to 26F tonight and a chance of snow. Some trees were knocked down in the storm and a few power outages, but nothing real severe, so it looks like we escaped the real bad stuff. Need to bathe and then go out to eat Sunday dinner (Looks like Longhorn is next on the schedule).

It’s a crisp 29 degrees and there is still snow on the ground. However, it’s supposed to become “breezy” and warmer air that brings rain should be moving in today to turn all the snow slush. Fun times. Watching the snow melt always makes me sort of melancholy.
I hope the drive and FCD’s surgery go well tomorrow, FCM.

Test this morning was negative- and so far it seems only the one person has a positive from the group, so fingers crossed that’s all.
I don’t think I will even make it outside today, every time I start to do something, I remember something else I’ve put off, and it’ll be going dark in 20 minutes now. Oh well. It’s wet anyway.

Morning Mumpers. Not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings but Real Estate Agents are like used car salesmen. At least mine is. I get it. She wants to make a sale. She wants professional photos. I have lived here a long time and was working most of that time so things have accumulated. I nicely told her her date of Jan 1 to be able to take photos wasn’t gonna happen. Then she mentioned the 4th. I said not in January. She does not listen. I still live here. I am activity trying to buy a house somewhere, anywhere for cash to make that go faster. I just packed up things I will need in the next month. Once those boxes get moved into the downstairs room there is no unboxing them. I had all the painting and repairs done, I’ve purchased gorgeous quilt sets for both beds and I continue to try to decide what I can and cannot live without kitchen wise.

I’m on call for jury duty for the next two weeks. I do not have to report tomorrow per the recorded message but what if I do have to report? She told me to lie and say I’ve been exposed to Covid. I believe in Karma, and if I do that sure as hell I will get COVID. So like a good citizen I will call each day and if I have to go I’ll go. With the Covid rates through the roof down here I doubt I’ll have to go at all.
I have hired a girl to help shlep boxes and she’ll be here later and back in a couple days.
Red sorry about car woes. Mine needs service but going to wait until the holiday hoards clear out.
I haven’t had a decent meal in days because I’m too tired or lazy to go to the store. My ankle is still problematic. I am so close to calling the agent and telling her to back off. I will let her know when I am ready to let her in the house. If I had another place, I’d move lock, stock and barrel and be done today.
Sorry yet again for being whiny. I can’t post this anywhere else. I am tired and malnourished and injured. I just want to sleep.
