Sari I’m so sorry things are going downhill so quickly with your mom. I hope you are able to spend the time with her that you want to. 
She messaged me - she’s just waiting for the offer letter. The job is hers. She said Suzanne (the incumbent) was in tears, she was so glad. I guess my baby as a good reputation at that school.
Rotten Tobester didn’t even nap for an hour. He’s been fed, and in a little bit, I’ll try to get him down again. Otherwise, he’ll be a major pain in the patoot this evening.
Waiting to hear from Animal Control. I’m worried that I won’t be able to round them all up. We shall see how it goes. But now I need to control the drooly little animal trying to open cabinet doors.
I seem to have an odd relationship with time today. Google reports the Kaiser facility near my home at slightly under a mile away. I somehow managed to walk there in under 15 minutes (my walking speed is closer to 3 mph than 4) each direction. Then, I was told it would be 24-48hr for results on the mammogram, just got notified that results were ready (about an hour post-test). Good news is all seems to be well, so I don’t have to do this again for a couple of years or so.
Mom just passed.

I think her passing was peaceful, both of my nieces were there holding her hand.
I’m glad she didn’t suffer long.
And… she did get her fresh off the farm cantaloupe.
The two younger boys’ other great grandmother brought one to her.
I heard she enjoyed it.
My son is still sleeping, I haven’t told him yet.
I’m glad he hugged his grandmother when she asked him to yesterday, he’s not a huggy kind of guy and I’m sure it meant the world to her.
Normally I’d be waking him about this time. I’m waiting for my friend that is also his boss, to get back to me. If he doesn’t have to go in tonight, then I am going to let him sleep.

We just had a staph meating. I put a shirt on over my T-shirt, and a bow tie. (Since it was a Zoom meeting, it was a pre-tied one.) Of course I was wearing shorts off-camera.
We met the threshold for a 2% match to our 401k contributions. And we met the threshold for a 2% salary increase. The board members thought that was kind of cheesy, so we’re getting 3% raises.
Our company was founded in 1896. I think our vacation policy dates from that time. Like, two weeks after having been with the company for one year, three weeks after ten years, and four weeks after twenty years. That’s changing. IIRC, we’ll now get two weeks after 90 days, three weeks after three years, and four weeks after seven years. So starting January 1st, I’ll be accruing four weeks of vacation per year. And we’re shifting to a PTO model. I never get sick, so that’s an extra week of vacation for me per year. (I did take one sick day this year, but I don’t remember the last time I did.) The PTO is ‘use it or lose it’. It’s always been a struggle for me to use all of my vacation by the end of the year, even when I only had two weeks. But El Jefe says he’s going to make us take time off because we all need time to recharge. Actually, having three weeks now makes me more prone to take the time. In the past, I had to make sure I didn’t take too much time off because SWMBO plans vacations at the end of the year. Anyway, with the four weeks I’ll have next year plus the ‘sick leave’ that I virtually never use, I don’t have to worry about that. I just need to not let time get away from me, else I’ll still have to scramble at the end of the year. Someone asked about closing between Christmas and New Year’s Day. I didn’t say it, but I was thinking ‘But that’s when I can use up tose extra vacation days!’ 
FedEcchs got my package to me today. Should have enough cat food on hand now to keep them fed for a year. Do need to get more litter stocked up.
One Jungle package due today, several tomorrow. Trying to convince myself I can stay awake another few hours until DH gets home.

So Panamanian Vince is out for surgery, the guy who was supposed to replace me was a no show again, so I was back in Smalls. Then both SSLAWS broke. And the guy they put at the 200 slide? He didn’t do any of the damages even though he has access, and didn’t fix the easy 200 Clerk corrections, even though he knew they would be easy fixes. So I got out at 12:30.
