I'm getting married!

Ha, here it is. Would love to see your “ugly” cake! I have to admit, ours tasted fabulous. Even better after I dunked it in the chocolate fountain!

I hope you are enjoying trying on dresses as much as I did. I found mine online at David’s Bridal but still tried on about 10 dresses (before leaving with the one I went in to buy).

In a different thread, you said you liked my dress - here is a link. I loved it - it was comfortable, reasonably priced, elegant and NOT STRAPLESS. I did spend about 200.00 on alterations - that’s where they get you

It’s also gorgeous from the back. Pretty dress and ugly cake!!!

Between the things that looked like American cheese on it (they were supposed to be peach “petals”) and the scrollwork that looks like a child’s scribbling… it was just awful. Plus there was way too much height between the layers.

In my sketches and photos that I gave her I showed her what kind of scrollwork I WANTED and what kind I DIDN’T WANT. Guess which kind she did.

Congrats, Zsofia!

To be honest, I skimmed a bunch of this thread’s wedding talk, but are you still living in Columbia? You can rent the ‘Event Room’ at Willams-Brice Stadium. It’s actually very nice up there as long as you don’t have too many clemson fans (we all know what they’re like ;)). We had several Black Tie/Silent Auction type events there when I was in school.

Ahh, this is why you’re great.

Mazel tov!

Preach it :).

Typo Knig and I did that after we were married (2 years after, actually) and after basically living in a Mazda 626 for a month, without killing each other, we knew we were destined to last :D.

I’m sure you were disapointed but objectively speaking, it’s pleasant enough. It’s certainly nicer than each and every entry in the Wedding Wrecks section of Cake Wrecks. I am loosely aquainted with a Cake Wreck bride actually, it’s the second cake in this grouping of classics (the rose petal cake). You have to admit, the baker took incompetance to the next level.

We bought it! Took the groom to see it, he liked it, we decided it was flattering and the price was right and we bought that fucker.
