Howdy Y’all! Tooth doc visit went well and then I decided to go shop for provisions at :eek:Wally Jr. since there’s one across the road from the tooth doc’s place. Don’t usually go to this one but since I was there I decided to go. Not that it’s any different from the one I usually go to bein’ as they are laid out exactly the same. Anywho, provisions got purchased, brought back to da cave and stowed away. After that I had a sammich and a nap. Now, here I am.
ETA: Been rainy off and on and now looks like a hyuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge band of rain headed this way/
I think it is “one” lasagna in the same way it is “one” casserole. (As in, “Aunt Sally brought us a tuna casserole again.”) I think it’s closely related to the way we use a singular to define a group. It’s one band with many members; it’s one batch of many cookies, etc.
We have supped and are now in chill mode. 'Tis rainy but warmish out. I do not like that combo in November because if’n it gets stormy that can mean tornadoes. Tornadoes are not welcome. Also TWPTB say we shall get our first freeze next week. We shall see.
Juliet what does your Aunt Sally have against you that makes her plague you with tuna casseroles?
butters, I think it’s mostly the Flordians in Lower Alibammy that are the crazy voters.
Unfortunately, the senate race went to a nasty piece of work.
I was delayed on the way to irk this morning for the third time this week. The wrecks are happening outside one fo the three gates onto the main drag from the Nissan plant. While it will be a couple of years, a new exit from I24 that comes out near the plant is in the beginning stages. That will make things much easier as they won’t have to take the surface streets five miles in either direction to get to the freeway.
An inch of snow is predicted Thursday night into Friday morning. Hunker down! Dinner was Polish sausage and sautéed cabbage, a perfect cold night dinner.
Clothes have been folded, hangered and put in their proper location. Dishes washed and cabineted. Rain has stopped for awhile (supposed to be back tomorrow and Firday for an encore). Otherwise it is a quite night at Casa Rat.
 wow its still in the low to mid 80s here …….might be that way til xmas or longer which is gonna throw things for next year off horrendously unless we get the normal February monsoon season …… believe me municipal water rationing sucks ……
Bathroom is clean, Gordie has been walked till he’s zonked out, and I gassed Carmen. drinking a Thunderstruck.
I learned Roman Numerals, but they forgot to teach me 50, 4, 1, and 500. I was LIVID
Tuna was on sale at Harris Teeter, so I’m having tuna [del]casserole[/del]seared in a pan and served with soba noodles with wasabi dipping sauce and Trader Joe’s steamed veggie mix.
I agree. But it’s still better than liver served with fava beans and a nice Chianti.
>Makes the Sign of the Cross, despite being Jewish<
Mama Plant made a hideous tuna casserole, lined with potato chips soaked in tuna oil. I become ill at the memory.
The puppies are in an X-pen in the fish room. There is a sleeping box with the lid cut off an an access door cut in it. Periodically two puppies will go into the box and apparently try to kill each other. The other puppies sit beside the box and chant, “Two pups enter! Two pups leave! Two pups enter! Two pups leave!”
Please note that I have never attested to the intelligence of any dog-or Dogbutt-, particularly these puppies.

I really don’t like it when they say this is the first ____ elected to a certain orifice in a certain race. It makes it sound like people only voted for that person because they are ____, & if so, those people should have their right to vote taken away. I firmly believe one should be color/sexblind when voting. Vote for the best candidate, not just because one of them is ____.
I meant the Georgia with all the great leftover Soviet weapons and nuclear devices we aren’t admitting to.
Which, in retrospect, could be Swampy’s Georgia as well!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 67 Amurrkin out and partly cloudy (well, dark) with a predicted high of 75 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse for the day. The weather map shows stuff headed this way. This afternoon starts the big Whiskypalian convention. Well, registration, some workshops, and Evensong (all over to my church house) starts today. Tomorrow is convention for real, as well as Sattidy mornin’. Tomorrow will be a bzzy day what with convention stuff all day and the biiiiiiig Eucharist tomorrow evenin’. Thus, the need to feed will be on a grazin’ basis today and tomorrow. Guess I should look at the schedule to see what time I should betake myself over to the church house.
Spidey I say that obnoxious blob of dough should be baked for fifteen minutes in an oven pre-heated to 350 degrees Amurrkin. That thing is almost as creepy as a clown.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. At some point I must also purtify and done appropriate bein’ out and about the public for ecclesiastical purposes attire.
Ruble, our Jawjan is not only not Ammurikn, I’m not sure he’s hooman. Surely he’s from another [del] planet[/del] solar system with that ‘tude. Not liken a cute-as-a-ball-of-dough pint sized baker. ::Harrumph::
I is not goin’ to orifice today, just don’t feel up to it.
