I'm Up So I'll Start The MMP

Morning all. With laundry and dishes done, need to clean the bathroom and vacuum the floors today. But first a couple of BLT’s…

52F heading for 56F, so if the rain misses us this morning (and it looks like it’s passing South), I might get a soccer practice in.

Sari, I don’t like tuna casserole; for that matter, I don’t like liver and onions, either. Great minds think alike

I like my tuna casserole, but I prefer a seared tuna steak. I don’t even buy canned tuna any more, and no way will I waste a beautiful tuna steak in a casserole. So we haven’t had it in eons.

OK, back to work…

I’m awake. Other than that its cold, sunny and I would probably use the bike for work but those damn Steelers just have to have a home game tonight. Cold damp leaves I can allow for; drunken football fans not so much so. Any town out there want to buy a NFL team, I’ll kick in a few bucks towards the purchase. ;(

There’s only one way I like Hot Tuna

Yesterday’s music lesson, for which I managed to stay awake, was R.E.M., Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Phish, Bikini Kill, and a few others.

I don’t know why I have always hated Pearl Jam. They are right up there with Chicago that I just see red when one of their songs come on. No logical reason I can think of.
Totally irrational.

Ruble - I’d kick in a few bucks if you could make the ravens go away too.

Clyde Clifford played Hot Tuna back in the age of the dinosaurs, on Beaker Street.

I had to go look that up, now I don’t feel so old.

I odered two identical items on the same day at the same time and one is coming today and the other is coming next week.
I suppose it makes sense.

You may envy me again. Just scored tickets to see Bob Seger’s Final Tour!!

I’m going to listen to some old time rock and roll on a Hollywood night (except in South Dakota).

So what did we learn from the election, boys and girls?

A) that a significant portion of the electorate are idjits.
-OR-
B) that the republican propaganda machine is much more effective than the democratic propaganda machine.
-OR-
C) most likely, both.

The ‘blue wave’ turned out to be more of a splash, methinks. :frowning:

Closer to home, i emptied the ‘clothing of color’ hamper into the washing machine this morning 'cause I’m down to my last clean pair of cargo pants only to discover that my other cargo pants weren’t in there. The dogs profess innocence. Hmmmm…

Happy Thorsday

Are you dancing w/ a candlestick mic?

Probably because they aren’t sure how to wear 'em.

My computer mouse stopped working so I headed off to Staples to get one…and decided to get a backup because you never know, and then they had a new office chair on sale, and I remembered I was low on pens…so a $20 trip ended up to be a $180 trip and another lesson (like I need it) on why I need to make a shopping list. The new mouse is working fine, the pens are stored, and the chair will be assembled tonight.

K-Kid (now it’s not your Mumper name, but I forgot already and K-Kid is better…), Congrats on the tickets, hope you enjoy.

Bumba, you have two pairs of cargo pants…and nothing else?:p;)

Sari, all they’d tell you is “stockage levels” if you asked, as if that explains everything.

Need to see if they closed the soccer fields or not for today. Light rain and 50F; not sure if I want to have a practice or not.

**MetalMouse **- his nick is Hank. You’d better make a list!

Daughter is making supper, so I get a little break this evening. Roxy and I went out in the yard for a bit, but it’s just a tad chilly. She loves being outside.

One more day, then long weekend - YAY!

This is the longest week in the history of weeks. Come on 1705. Finally wrapping up the investigation for the JAG. Great experience but hope not to have to do it again. Today seems like Firday to me. Wishful Thinking I guess.

No. I [del]misspoke[/del] was misquoted by the lying press. I actually have six pairs of cargo pants, along with many pairs of non-cargo pants, but the ones I like to wear, Dickies, ('cause I don’t have to iron them), I only have three pairs of, and two of those went missing.
Never fear, I found them. They reappeared in my closet right where they belonged. The Floating Black Hole of Bumba House must have had them.

I know. One of these days I’ll get up early enough and start an MMP by posting a listing for everybody; that is, if I can remember to write them down and get up early…

Yeah, I have one of those mystery holes too; usually it tends to be satisfied to eat socks, but occasionally it’ll disappear a shirt.

Butters, I know it’s been a long week, but going back in time 3 centuries won’t solve anything…:p;). As for the JAG, at least you didn’t get a NCIS Gibb’s dope slap…

Hank, I’m jealous. The last time I got to see a Seger concert live was years ago at the SilverDome.

bumba, the Dems have the people, the Pubs have the real estate.

metal mouse, the black hole in my apartment has eaten Nelson’s yellow rain slicker. It went missing when we had our beagle houseguest and I had to replace it so’s he would to out in the rain.

Thank goodness midnight is payday and tomorrow is Firday! I’ll likely be at irk for most of the day, but at least there’s Saturday to follow. This weekend, there will be a bonfire with the heathens at one of the local state parks. I’ll take a dish, the pennywhistle, autoharp and Nelson for some fun. Tonight was breakfast for supper: veggie omelet, baby carrots, bacon and toast.

Too early in the morning, but I’ve got sausage cooked, steel-cut oats in the microwave oven, and I’m about to cook cheese’n’eggs following the Waffle House formula, which exceeds everything else in goodness.

It’s raining outside in my part of North Alabama, but not very hard, and the colder weather is on tap for a day or two away. Okay, so long as laid-in wood and kerosene and the furnace work.

A Happy Veterans’ Day weekend to all of my brothers and sisters in arms!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis <snerk> 69! <snerk> Amurrkin out and dark (TWPTB say cloudy) with a predicted high of 78 with rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon. We shall see. Tomorrow’s high is predicted to be ONLY 59 Amurrkin. Yestiddy was large, what with herdin’ Episcopalians, Evensong, etc. Got back to da cave a little after eight and was tahrd, so crashed just before nine and pulled an all nighter. I need to be at the convention place by around eight-thirty this mornin’. ‘Twill be a full day of convention stuff capped off by the biiiiiiiiig convention Eucharist at five this afternoon. Rumors abound about goin’ to sup with the delegates from my church after that, but honestly by that time all I will want to do is come back to da cave. I am sure I will have had more than enough human interaction for one day by then. However, one must do what one must, I suppose.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I must purtify and once again don appropriate goin’ about the public attire. That will be two days in a row of bein’ appropriate in the public. How I suffer!

Happy Firday Y’all!

Looks like we’re getting a peek of winter this weekend - they’re talking wind chills in the 20s!!! Hard to believe that in a very short time, I’ll be in the southern Caribbean with temps in the upper 80s! One thing’s for sure, **FCD **and I are both ready for this vacation!

Meanwhile, I need to get thru today. Happy Firday!

Happy Firday!

I woke too early, 3:40, damn bladder. I never got back to sleep.
I’m very stressed right now, too much going on, and even with a list I forgot to do some things that needed to be done.
It’s not like me to be so scattered, but scattered I am.

Supposed to be rainy with a high of 48 today.

I need a vacation, or rather a staycation, or just some time off, but if I don’t irk I don’t get paid so irk I must.

Happy Firday and welcome to the first snow of the season. It’s sticking to the grass but the streets are merely wet. Perhaps this will be the extent of winter. Ariel is getting new shoes tonight. Another exciting Friday night in my life.
