I’m seriously thinking about it. It’s getting increasingly difficult to walk, especially after I’m off of it for a bit.

Gnat was known as tinyninjachef before he was born, since LiLi is reknowned for her cooking and her husband is reknowned for his martial arts. I don’t think TomKitten had a pre-birth name. And well…the twins…naming them seems daunting.

Got a fair amount of gardening done and went for a walk and some ice cream. Have been hanging around finishing laundry and surfing and watching tennis. It’s a wild evening chez GT.

Dinner was awesome! Ribeyes and sallit and twice baked NOT’s and sauteed mushrooms. And PEACH COBBLER! With ice cream! Burp. I rock.
Plus, I did NOT sit on my ass all day. I cleaned the master bedroom, and got all sweaty, and took a shower with no showerhead because Mr Rebo took the showerhead back to Lowe’s cuz low-flows SUCK and I wanted a showerhead that BEATS ME <snerk> and that one didn’t. We had a new (sucky!) showerhead cuz Mr Rebo knocked the soap holder thingie off the wall in the shower, along with lots of tile, so when he put up the temporay fix of vinyl beadboard, he replaced the bathtub hardware including a (sucky!) low-flow showerhead.
I do not wish to be GREEN about a showerhead, thank you very much.

Exam of my right foot showed minimal swelling and no purple skin, so I’m going to grin and bear it for now.
Men and pain - I swear!!! FCD has been hurting all weekend. Would he take a day and just take it easy? Of course not. Yesterday he was hobbling around like a geriatric patient, hardly able to straighten up, but he insisted on installing wiring in his shop. Because, you know, the world would end otherwise. :rolleyes: He is going in for an MRI tonight. Still, I don’t get why he can’t just take a day or two to chill and let the aches heal - it’s not like there’s a deadline for getting his shop up and running. :rolleyes:
It’s mid-60s out right now and raining. I don’t think we’re supposed to get over mid-70s today. I have a timer set so I have time to get my tools together and shower before class. Meanwhile, it’s my on-line playtime. If by play, I can include the comics, Dear Abby, and Mumpin’…
I had a terrible night - I couldn’t fall asleep at a decent hour - blah! With luck, rising early today will help reset my internal clock. Plus I was having dreams about being late for class today.
Speaking of class - I looked up on the college site - it’s a full class - 18 total. Two of us are taking the advanced, four for intermediate, and twelve beginners, all in one room. Plus there are 5 on the waitlist. Even the evening class is closed. Suddenly ceramics is popular! Glad I signed up early.

OYKW, JDD and Partner calmed me down re [del]goin’ Rambo on[/del] wantin’ to cancel Mediacom. I will concede that there was some rough weather (downed trees and such) in town although nuttin’ like that happened out heah around da cave. Maybe that did affect service. Right now everything is workin’ so on their advice I’m givin’ benefit of the doubt. I’m still not exactly happy with 'em though. Mediacom that is.
BBBobbio watch that ankle ok? I say if’n it does not quit hurtin’ go get it xrayed.

I still have a hitch in my gitalong this morning, but not anywhere near the extent of when I went to bed. I think I’ll survive.
I had a WTF? dream last night. I was traveling to Nashville TN for a job interview, and not only did I get on the plane without luggage, I did it without a boarding pass. All I had with me were my usual wallet, keys, and cell phone… :dubious:
Not only that but the airline invoked a joke I use frequently (“Fly-EZE Airlines. We can’t afford to crash…”), and the puddle jumper landed on a highway, taxiing over city streets to the airport.
The whole dream reeks of insecurities, but I’ll be damned if I know what they are.

For the record, I don’t use DH either, but that’s because I have 'im indoors instead. On Friday, he will have to become 'im outdoors as we’re off on our hols for a couple of weeks.
On the subject of 'im indoors, he had a phone interview for a job he wasn’t particularly bothered about and wasn’t concerned that he’d not heard back from his agent about it. Yesterday the agent rang and said they’re still interested in him, so he might be coming back from holiday and going off to do a job. He still isn’t massively bothered about the job itself but he may well take it just for the sake of it.
Three more sleeps to the Caribbean!
BTW, Swampy - we have an unopened 9-pack in the bathroom, plus (I think) at least another five on the shelf. Since I’m going to be away from home, how many should I pack?
Depends on how long you’re gone for BooFae. I’d plan on a minimum of three rolls per person per week.

It’s nice and cool here this morning - 68°! Predicted high of 92°. We got a “cold” front - a dry one. :rolleyes: We have wild fires north of Houston. Yesterday was very windy with the front, and the firemen couldn’t get the blaze out. 8000 people have been evacuated. The winds have died down, so hopefully they can get it under control today. no rain in the forecast all week. Houston is turning into a desert.
