In Honor of Labor Day, the FAQ MMP

BBBobbio I forgot to say this earlier in response to irkin’ on Sattidy. We have to do these community events as a part of what we do and I have been managin’ to get out of 'em for the past six weeks. I’ve been a bad bear. So, it’s time to pay my dues. Plus I don’t have to take leave for the couple hours I took off today so it sorta kinda evens out.

BLT’s were teh num! Musta been what I wanted. OYKW seemed to enjoy ‘em too. At least all that munchin’ and gnawin’ led me to believe he did.

Keep it up, and you’ll start sounding like a Team Player[sup]tm[/sup].

Nah. After about the fifth or sixth time I stand on my chair and proclaim the “Gospel of The Flyin’ Spaghetti Monster” they ask me to leave.

we really don’t need to know what goes on during the “appreciatin’”

rosie silly.

Felt progressively worse all day, so I’m relieved that I had the foresight to schedule tomorrow and Monday off. Not really feeling horrible, but bad enough that I would have thought about calling in sick tomorrow.

Am getting sleepy.

Will play in MMP tomorrow.

Hugs.

GT

Today:
I cleaned the bathroom, kitchen and swept the patio.
Fixed the vacuum and vacuumed the living room.
did all sorts of Booster club stuff.
walked the dogs
put new hubcaps on Deathmobile.
Packers win!!!

I actually won something! A webcomic I read was asking for donations so she could do a print version and offered a commission for the 100th dollar. That was me. Now I have to decide what I want.

kewl! Which comic?

She does And Shine Heaven Now and But I’m A Cat Person. Shine is primarily a Hellsing fancomic, although it has about a dozen crossovers. The book is for But I’m A Cat Person which ‘…is what happens when you take a heap of shounen-power-up and mahou-shoujo tropes, dump them all in a blender, and then throw the blender away and make a sandwich instead’ as the site says.

Blurf. Yet another sleepless night. Been up since 1 AM or so.

At least it’s Friday. T.G.I.F.!

Bri2k

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 60 degrees Amurrkin out and feels so gooooooooood! I sat out on my back porch with a cup o’ coffee first thing goin’ AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!! The high for the day will be 87 and back to low 90’s for tomorrow and Sunday. Still compared to the over a hunnert days we’d been havin’, it’s like Fall!

Then I guess I best not mention the slurpin’ and finger lickin’, huh? :stuck_out_tongue:

Brick boo on sleepless nights. Here’s hopin’ for a good sleepy time tonight.

ShinyCat if your choices include a pony, take the pony! I always say go for the pony.

Ok, I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.

Which reminds me, Pearl. Another mumperism is irk = work. Don’t think we mentioned that one. Or maybe we did. I’m way too lazy to go back and look.

Happy Firday Y’all!

ETA: First on four!

Southern Merrylande is closed due to flooding. OK, only one county, not my county, but doggone the flooding here is something! It hasn’t happened like this in all the time I’ve lived here. Come to think of it, we never had earthquakes and it’s been ages since we had a hurricane, and now flooding. All since **BBBobbio **moved here. Coincidence??? :dubious:

Bottom line - enough with the rain here! Sheesh!! Send it to Texas, please!!!

Dunno what my plans for today will involve - at least one load of laundry for sure. Maybe I’ll put my cabinets back together, including the hideously ugly pulls. I’m sure I’ll figure something out. First I need to think about breakfast and caffeination. And donning other that WalMart shopping attire… :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Firday!

Gee MOOOOOM if you’re already dressed for Wally*World, might as well make a run, I say. :stuck_out_tongue:

Irk is quiet. This can be good or bad. I assume it just means somebody somewhere is sittin’ there thinkin’ up sump’n especially nutty to call or come by about. One never knows does one?

Happy Firday!!! 'Tis my RDO (regular day off). In a minute I’ll throw a roast in the crock pot and we’ll have nummy pot roast for dinner.

Then I’ll get dressed and go visit the dentist’s office. It’s the hygienist’s last day, she’s retiring. the dentist sent all his patients envelopes to send in cards and notes for her. I’m glad I get to see her on her last day - she’s a nice lady.

Need more caffeine, and I need to eat something, even if I’m not very hungry yet.

Have a great day!

So, swampy, what’s your phone number there? Not that I want to make an especially nutty call. Just curious…

Exablurf.

'Twas roughly 4am, and I was in the nether region between sleep and awake. I had not slept well, and was woozy on melatonin, so I decided that I would reset my alarm for 0530 from the usual 0430. Made it back to sleep.

I slept an unknown amount of time, and woke up a bit again. Looked at my clock, it said 0605. Oh shit, I’m late already. Hopped out, did an abbreviated bathroom routine, and called a local greasy spoon that I frequent on Firday mornings to order carry out brekkies.

“I’d like to make a carry out order, please…”

:grumpy: “We don’t open until 6 o’clock.” :grumble:

:confused::confused::confused: I looked at my watch, and it said 0533.:confused: Looked at the alarm clock. The alarm said 0430, and the clock part said 0612. :smack::smack::smack: I changed the wrong thing, and went from waaaaaay late to uber-early.

Up, caffeinated, laundry then irk.

You mean like the one from the person who wanted to talk to the person who tells you when you have stuff wrong on your monthly report I can’t remember her name but it’s not… then proceeds to name every single person in the office? Or the lady who wanted to know what to do if you are denied unemployment, then appeal and lose the appeal and don’t want to go to court, which has absolutely nothing to do with anything a Council on Aging does? Or the person who has called repeatedly to ask for the same phone number because he can’t read what he wrote down?

Oh yeah, teh crazee is alive and well in Albeeeeeeeeeny.

I was awake in the middle of the night as well, but since this is my IDO (Irregular Day Off :D) I was able to sleep as long as I wanted to once I fell asleep again. Only slept till 8:30, but that was enough to give me a pretty decent dose of zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzs.

Ooops, Bobbio, that doesn’t sound like the best way to start a Firday. Also, I thought you had stopped tampering with the forces of nature with every move. (Also :D)

Now I want swampy’s phone number too. I’m sure I could think up a doozy.

I’ve had coffee and am contemplating what to do with my day. I’m feeling pretty OK, but I can feel that the creeping crud is not completely gone, so I don’t want to overdo.

Hmmmmm…guess I should go explore breakfast possibilities.

Hugs all.

GT

She’s got it wrong, GT. The problem is not moving to MD, but rather my current lack of involvement in the local Emergency Management chain.

None of this stuff happened while I was on the job in NC. I move here, quitting there, and both NC and MD get floods, hurricanes, fires, and earthquakes. The Navytown Rescue Squad has its monthly meeting this coming Tuesday, and I’ve finally won the home battle about joining. Mark my words, all of the crap will settle down by the middle of next week, when I’ve become probationary member. Why? Because I never get any of the really juicy calls.

:stuck_out_tongue:

PS: Swampy, when I start grumping about being a probie once more, it’s certainly NOT in the appreciatin’ sense.
