Thanks for the well-wishes. Hopefully I can get some tansportation going for at least the rest of the campaign.
Also, the week after the campaign, I’ll happily put up an MMP and possibly an “ask the” thread.

“Ask the person who helped elect the next president”, I hope!
Bleh. This has been a very boring day. I really want to go home now. But… well I’d feel too guilty if I did that. I just need the next 23 minutes to go by fast! C’mon 5:00!
So tomorrow is date 5 with the new squeeze and I will be staying at his house that evening - no doubt penis will ensue, let’s just hope it’s good penis. Any advice anyone?
Back. I met **FCD ** at our favorite garage and he left his car for an oil change. Then we went to Capt. Leonard’s for supper. I got the scallops - they were rather meh. Bummer.
So he’s at the start of a 4-day weekend, and there’s no way I can take time off - busy busy.
Thanks, everyone, for telling me about photobucket. I set up an account.
My hard drive died Monday night. My paycheck came in today, so my husband & I started trying to get my computer working. The fact that I’m typing this in on my husband’s laptop tells all…my computer’s still dead. My husband’s on his fourth beer, & sounding surly. Says he’ll upload pics of Angelboy when my computer works.
Speaking of which, we babysat our darling overnight Monday. We’re a kind of pressure valve for my daughter & her husband. When they need sleep, when they’re tired of being parents, they bring Angelboy over. It works for me. I just wish I’d had this option for my girls.
Do any of you grandparents out there fill that need?
Phil all I can say is you and hubby are good grandparents.
We just had what we down in the southern USofA call a gullywasher. I checked the rain guage and according to it we had two and a half inches of rain in a half hour. That’s a buncha rain! Looks like more on the way too. YAY!
LOUNE it will be innerstin’ to hear what life is like on a campaign trail.
Daughter got a call - the elementary school by my base and right across the street from FCD’s new job wants to interview her about being a 2nd grade teacher! We can all carpool together!!!
Wow, you’re wonderful grandparents, phil. I can hardly wait to see pictures of Angelboy…
That’s terrible about your car, LOUNE.
Bummer about your cousin, rosie.
Yay for FCD and new job!!! And woot on the opportunity for TPC[sup]TM[/sup].
I’m sure Skip can change your name over there, Taters…just ask.
And, yeah, I remember Bumba…and see him pretty often at Skip’s.
I was just wondering yesterday where you’d gone off to, Mahna. Hope annoying co-worker learns to pull her own weight soon. Is there anything you can do to encourage better behavior?
How’s Mama Tigs, doing snowbunny? Tell her we miss her.
There was more, but I can’t remember. Ooops, remembered one thing: how are things going, Pie? And hi beebs!
Dinner was Cheerios with blueberries (had to go to the grocery and bought some more blueberries, while they’re still around). And a fig, because they had those, too.
MamaTigs is feeling a lot better but has been swamped with work. I’ve told her a few of the things happening here but I don’t know why she hasn’t been in this week unless she’s just been too busy to think about it. I can’t imagine that, personally, but I’ll let her know that people are wondering.
“(Expensive Resort) reservations, this is whiterabbit, how can I help you?”
“Is this reservations?”
sighbang head against wall
It’s been that sort of day. And there’s a frickin’ fly in here. It just dive-bombed my ear. Stupid fly.
Ok movie people I need help! I VERY vaguely remember a movie, it had to be out late 90’s early 2000’s. I don’t remember much except that it was a romantic movie, it made me cry, and there was a restaurant or cafe that burned down. Not a lot of help I know. I thought it might be a Nicholas Sparks movie, but I"m not sure.
Sorry about your car there, LOUNE, that’s just wrong on so many levels…
Feeling a bit more stable today, although my eyes feel like boiled onions. Had a bad meltdown this morning, figured Himself was probably due for one as well so I bailed out for a while so he could have it in private. SpaceDawg’s had a pretty good day although her leg is very droopy because essentially there’s no real bone left in her shoulder joint and the leg is being supported almost solely by the muscles which makes the pain worse but the painkillers are keeping it in check so far. We’re bringing her inside when it gets too warm in the afternoon, she’s fallen in love with the breeze box fan–we blast it right on her and she faces straight into it with her tongue hanging out. I made her some puppy jerky from some thin sliced chuck roast and she’s wolfing that down, it’s nice to see her reacting positively to food. We got the information from the vet on cremation costs which was not the happiest email I’ve ever read. We’re debating on whether or not to bury her ashes, I’m kind of inclined to just keep her in a nice urn so we always know where she is, but then again my family does that a lot–my mom still has my stepdad sitting on top of the tv to keep her company…
I have duly delivered all the scritches, hugs and good wishes to both SpaceDawg and Himself and received in return a face lick and a heartfelt thank you–so consider those delivered back!
Hugs, yays, boos, wet fish, naps, congrats and all other appropriate sentiments to y’all–I’ve been keeping up but not feeling terribly communicative… Thank you all so much for your kind words and support, it’s really helping a lot…
For some odd reason, SpaceDawg decided that she’s a lapdog, maybe she was just trying to comfort Himself…
I’ve been reading through that site for the last few days – thanks, though! I don’t have any serious horror stories, but it was apparently Idiot Day for us.
If I can have seventy pounds of neurotic golden retriever on my lap, which I have had before on multiple occasions, I see no reason why SpaceDawg can’t be a lapdog. Such a pretty girl!
