Independence Day MMP

I got the changes made with AT&T. I hope I find another neighbor in the new place to share internet. Packing up more stuff now with dinner from Taco Hell.

And stop calling me Shirley.

HEY MISSRED!!!

http://triblive.com/aande/music/10353924-74/rock-cello-camp

I’ve seen these folks and the earlier rock cello group here quite a few times. It sounds like they good a cool camp going.

Did a double with less than star associates both shifts. I am going to shower. Long. Really long. I earned it.

ruble, I like it that they’re running a camp for this. There used to be an alt rock band who played at my brother’s bar that was an electrified cello quartet with a drummer. Mostly high school and college students, they had some great interpretations of rock, pop and alt.

I now have the corner unit in the bedroom folded up so that I have more room to stage boxes. By moving day, I’ll need GPS to find my bed. :stuck_out_tongue:

It monsooned off and on all night. I got some stuff done. Tomorrow’s my Firday, and a half day to boot. W00T!

Ruble, that looks like a fun camp. They should get together with these kids.

{{{Rockin’}}} and tequila shots

Drae, at least it’s not Thursday: [HHGTTG]“This must be Thursday,’ said Arthur to himself, sinking low over his beer. 'I never could get the hang of Thursdays.” [/HHGTTG]

Another sleepless night :frowning:

yep, and it sucks
I am going to be exhausted later today.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.

Blurf

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 77 Amurrkin and cloudy out with a predicted high of 95 and scattered tstorms this afternoon. That’s fancy WPTB talk for “it might rain. or not.”

Today we shall finish up end of year reports. My last ones ever. YAY! I am also movin’ out of my orifice so that Assistant (who actually has my job title now) can move in there. Tomorrow the PTB will be here to get her set up to take on her new role. Sounds like a fun time for all!

OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, irk purtification must commence. Six more days!

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Morning, mumpers…happy Camel Day!

It’s a lovely sunny one here, makes a nice change from the cooler and wetter weather we’ve been having. Today I get to herd cats. Or rather, herd students together for their post-graduation photos, and then on to their various graduation parties on campus. I foresee frustration in my future and the need for a megaphone.

Tonight I am off to see a comedian (Jim Jeffries) so not going home, dinner will come from the pub and there might be a beerverage or two. Well, it is hump day, after all.

metalmouse - Hungary is technically eastern Europe as far as we’re concerned. Western Europe stops halfway across the continent!

(((((rockin’))))), just 'cos.

Get well soon, sickies!

Good morning! The day started off sauna-like, and it’ll only get worse. Plus I have a Dr appt this afternoon, requiring me to drive all the way to Prince Fred, so I’ll be leaving a bit early. I wish the orthopedics practice nearby didn’t suck so hard…

Boss came back after 3 yesterday, but I barely got to say hi. Today I need to talk to him about the drawings I’m working on - which were his design originally. BAD engineering, stupid design and lack of thought about how this badly engineered panel would be installed. What really kills me - I’m looking at the original drawings - he’s listed as the engineer and as the mechanical approval. So, yeah, he approved his own work. What could possibly go wrong with that??? moron.

IlovemyjobIlovemyjobIlovemyjobIlovemyjob… :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Wednesday. Summer sucks.

Trying to get my brain booted up for the first day of the new job. Hope Mt. Dew will suffice. I’m sure actually getting some useful sleep instead of intermittent dozing would have helped.

The cat’s being a stinker about attention, as in she doesn’t really want any. Normally, when the alarm goes off, she’s right there. Not today. Brat.

An Amish stop? You mean you had to tie old Dobbin and your buggy to a tree?

Just hangin’ out at work … watchin’ bears catch and eat salmon in real time. Already seen two this morning.

If by that you mean park my Sonata outside their shop, then yes. :stuck_out_tongue:

Morning all. was awakened by a short period of thunder-boomers about 0400, but managed to shrug them off and go back to bed until 0730. Need to make my self presentable and do some mailing/bill paying/shopping this AM.

boofairy, picky, picky, picky… Seriously, I would love to see Budapest and the whole of Central Europe, I’m looking at a Viking River cruise in about 2-3 years. Will look forward to your report on your trip.

swampy, guessed I missed it, but sounds like you plan to join the great society of retired people real soon. My congratulations, hope you enjoy it as much as I have so far.

Blurf. We went to dinner with the company last night and finally got to meet our new 18 year old granddaughter. My hubby’s son was having marital difficulties and found out his wife was cheating on him so he cheated on her one time he says. That resulted in a baby. When the child was 13 he finally had a DNA test and Hello Daddy. She is a nice girl, tall like the rest of the family and looks very much like her daddy.

You’re in Maine; are you watching intertubes or looking out the winder? Did you see John West fishing there, too?

I did a Viking cruise; the captain was named Hagar & he was Horrible!

Out the winder is a fairly busy road and a beautiful view of the local Marden’s. If I lean forward, I can also see Burger King and a bowling alley. I’m watching Alaskan bears.

Last night I spent a lovely, quiet evening stitching in my bedroom and watching Netflix. Tonight might include laundry, but will probably be roughly the same thing. BoyRoomie’s Child is still visiting, and we’ve had considerably fewer meltdowns than usual, largely attributable to the fact that she’s in a growth spurt, and seemingly can’t stay awake for more than a few hours at a time. She’s eating like a starving lion and spouting recently-learned facts about puberty to anyone who will listen, showing that she can really latch on to the aspects that she feels will affect her, but is somehow also adorably misinformed on certain facts. Being the one to correct her feels like it’s a moral imperative and unbearably mean at the same time.

It’s terribly exciting that it’s already Wednesday. I have an invitational poker tournament to attend on Saturday (translation: friend’s dad’s birthday party with cards), and I need to remember how to arrange my poker face. When it comes to cards, I am either extraordinarily lucky to the point where it looks like I did it on purpose, or woefully terrible at it. At least the buy-in is only ten bucks.
