Independence Day MMP

Happy Hump Day!

It’s sunny, hot, and humid outside.
I just closed the window though, I like to run the fan at night. The house has that musty smell again, I hate keeping it closed up.

I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t get back to sleep. Then I almost overslept this morning.
This is getting old.

Good Luck with the new job Nettie!

Awake and really uninspired about lunch/dinner. May just forage through the leftovers.

Are they migratory bears or something?
I’m surprised they let wild animals like that near a bowling alley. :dubious:

You’ve clearly never been in a Maine bowling alley.

About 3 hours ago, I told my boss I needed to talk to him. Still waiting…

Just finishing lunch - sammich, cucumber spears, pretzels, and cherries, washed down with water.

**FCD **has to go for an MRI next week. I’ve got a sickening feeling that it may mean yet another surgery - I wish the doc had just put the hardware in his back last time and been done with it. I get that he was trying to be conservative, but considering my sweetie’s history, you’d think he’d have been more aggressive.

Dammit.

A little busier today. Still packing after irk. Yay

In spite of the headache that I still have, I managed to drive myself and my dad to a local store today.

I played in a concert on Sunday. A nice concert in a park.

Were there bears in the park?

Heh, not that I know of. Though I’m sure swampy would be welcome.

There were…until they came to the fork in the road.
Early afternoon was a dr. appointment, followed by lunch @ nearby bar; one that there’s no need to look at the menu because there’s only one sam’mich that should be ordered there…& when one ends up sitting in front of the taps, well…

Howdy Y’all! Irk has once again been survived. YAY! I am roamin’ the southeast forty for the final time tomorrow. I’d say it’s sad except for the fact that I will probably yell “WOOHOO!” when I leave each place. Dindin will be red beans 'n rice, green sallit and garlic bread. Simple and easy like the way I like my men.

MetalMouse My official date of retirement is July29th but my actual last day in the orifice will be July 15th bein’ as I have leave time to waste and decided to take it as vacation time rather than a lump sum payment. Looked more like I’d come out ahead that way. Besides, I’m ready to go.

Well, they are tasty especially when caught fresh.

Great googly moogly!

Mooomm Maybe time to switch back to job 1? It’s nice to have options, isn’t it?

Hitch with the trailers today (bwahahaha, I slay me) so the final load is tomorrow. Soooo close. I have now also lost the contract for the trailers. fortunately I also have the details online.

Have run the final dishwasher load and am packing last dishes. Ditto laundry. Kids have fought like only siblings can about the bits they were packing. Good times. Good times.

Off work, having a beetvwrage before watching hockey practice. I love fhe smell of ice in the morning.

I went on one on Russia. The whole trip the crew were chanting obscenities. When I complained to the captain, he just laughed and said, “That is just The Song Of The Vulgar Boatmen.”:D;)

Home. Never did see the Dr. There was a woman there who went up to the window at 4:30, saying her appointment had been for 3 and was she ever going to be seen… My appointment was for 3:50 - at 4:40, I decided I’d had enough. So I had the receptionist void my copay, and I got caught in rush hour on the way home. We went to Salsa’s for supper. Thus endeth my day.

I won tickets to the Blue Crabs game on Firday evening - 4 tickets actually, but we need to find someone to give the other 2 to. I may just tell the receptionist to give them to whoever. Anyway, we have that to look forward to.

Dindin has been ingested and I have fought and won a fight with my modem and wireless connection. I am chalkin’ that up to the fact that there have been big tboomers all over the area even though we had only one here for about ten minutes. Or TVCTPMO. Either would be a good reason.

Oy. The neverending mortgage saga. The mortgage company accepted the gift letter Airman faxed, and all he has to do now is write out a short note explaining how he knows the guy who gave him the money.

The sprog decided to go on walkabout at 4:00 this morning. I had no idea he had done this until 6:00; I was on my way down the steps to go to irk when he walked up. He and Airman had a little chat about something called “curfew” and how the cops will keep him at the police station until we come to get him, after which the cops and maybe Children and Youth will have a few words with us. Apparently, this has been a regular thing with him. He’s on a night worker’s schedule, so he walks to have something to do. Not anymore.

Went out to the farmer’s market this afternoon. I got a kohlrabi, three ears of corn, a cup of iced tea, and a non-dairy peach smoothie. We’re having pasta for dinner tonight.

Blurf.

Rockin’ did you make pasta out of the stuff you bought at the farmer’s market or did you somehow incorporate and pasta into a meal. Innerestin’ combo there.

On that note, ‘tis time to retire to the boudoir for the evenin’.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Home and already packing for Friday. I CAN’T WAIT!!! Even if its just for like 48 hours, the chance to see a couple friends we haven’t seen in a couple years and the chance to get back to Nothing, Indiana -------- well, we just love it! Kokomo, Thorntown, Tipton ----- if I ever moved out of our fine (?) state, it would probably be to a place like that. Or maybe the southern hilly version in Gnaw Bone. But something like that.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffeinated, and purtified, so no YAWN. ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 95 and maybe rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon. We shall see. Then again, I am spendin’ most of the day on the road so that should up the chances.

We’re goin’ to get a McBrekkie in a bit and then I shall head out. Rah. I do believe OYKW is about ready to go. Forward into the day! At least today is my Firday.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

I had a rough time falling asleep last night, so the alarm was most unwelcome this morning. Still, I’m in the office with much to do today, so there’s that.

When we got back from Salsa’s last night, the front garden was looking droopy, so I decided to turn on the sprinkler. Two hours later, I remembered that I’d turned on the sprinkler… On the up side, my black-eyed susans looked perkier this morning.

Much busyness today. I should get started.

Happy Thursday!
