Yes, the model my EP showed me is roughly two by three inches and a half inch thick. (Sorry, didn’t think I’d need to bring a ruler to a doctor visit.) It senses ventricular fibrillation and automatically shocks if needed. The battery is good for up to ten years.

Irk has been very irksome lately. I started getting a bit grumpy yesterday.
Of course I know the real reason I am getting grumpy is I have a dr appt on Toosday and I’ll be stopping by my mother’s. I get grumpy every time I am going there. She’s mad because Sah-son isn’t coming with me. If he comes, we have to bring the dog, which means I have to leave even earlier so I can drop them off at my mother’s before going to the doctor. Then my niece’s son will scream and cry because he’s afraid of dogs.
No, I just want to go to the doctor, drop off the cake carrier, go to lunch with a friend and come home. I don’t want to hear a bunch of shit or deal with a screaming kid.
I shouldn’t have told her I was coming down.
Since I’m up, I should unload the dishwasher and start some laundry.

Nah, the pasta was served with sauce, the corn was consumed with hot dogs last night, and the kohlrabi will be sliced and eaten for lunch today.
One problem gets solved, another rears its ugly head. Airman’s wonderful sister :rolleyes: and her amazing kids :rolleyes::rolleyes: are visiting at the end of July and into the beginning of August. I feel my social calendar magically filling up then. She’s a real piece of work and her kids are genuinely unlikable, and I don’t feel the need or the desire to spend any more time with them than I absolutely have to. So I can see myself staying very busy until they leave. I might have dinner with them, but nothing more than that.
Yanno, once we get the keys to the new house, we can do what we like. It’s no one else’s business what we do, except for the landlord. People can either be happy for us, or not. We’re doing what we need to do and the haters and drama-seekers can get fucked. So there.

But TGIF! The critters have been tended to and making lunch will consist of throwing a container of leftover Hamburger Helper into my lunch bag. Then I’m off.
A dead tree fell in our yard overnight. It was by the shed, and over the last few years, it had been dropping branches every once in a while. **FCD **would try to push it over since it was rotting at the base, but without luck. But it decided to succumb to gravity last night.
Unfortunately, it fell across the route from the back gate to the house, meaning we can’t bring the truck into the yard, and getting the mower out via that gate is close to impossible. Looks like some chain-sawin’ is in our future. My future, most likely, since my sweetie shouldn’t be bending over or holding anything heavy. It’s oak, so no way we can just drag it. Anybody wanna come cut up my tree?? I’ll buy your lunch!!! Please???

Mphm. I’m really glad it’s Friday. The Child is leaving today, and I’m going to have the house to myself for most of the evening - which really means I’m going to sit on the couch and work on a stitching project and watch Gilmore Girls while the dogs sass me, but I can pretend it’s going to be something more glamorous. Tomorrow is probably a trip to the farmers’ market followed by lazing in a pool followed by a nap followed by poker. I should fold my laundry somewhere in there, but I seriously doubt that’s going to happen.
I’m still here, but between jet lag and a bad cold (nothing like spending 16 hours cooped up with 300 strangers to give the old immune system a workout) I’ve spent the last two days doing pretty much nothing (a skill I am honing to perfection). Debating if it is worth getting dressed to go out to break fast, or eat in. Will probably do a wee bit of housework (as wee as possible) and try to look a little active.

The pushy part of mowage along with edgin’ has been accomplished. Go Me! Now comes the ridin’ part which is easy.

I am still having major blurfage but at least it’s afternoon and I have only got an hour and a half before hometime, and then I’m on holiday all of next week. Woot!
I just love how things get explained to me in dribs and drabs here - I’ve been here 3 anna half months and I’m just now being told things that would have been really helpful to know before I launched into this latest series of drawings. Coworker just tried to explain it to me - I’m sure there’s logic in there somewhere, but I’m not following it.
Wonder how long I’ll have to work to pay for the cruises…? Hmmmmm…

BLURF TGIF For a short week it sure has been a long week. At irk of course. I am going to try to pay my vendors if the entire month has been posted and if not then it will be a day of doing not a lot of anything.
I am so glad it is the weekend so I can sleep in tomorrow. I did not sleep well last night at all if I even slept any.

Mowage has been completed. I am all cleanded up and have had a refreshin’ glass of iced tea with lemon. Life is good. For now.
Just finished lunch. I need to talk to the boss about what my coworker was telling me because what I see in the database and what he described are totally different animals. The database makes sense. Coworker doesn’t.
BUT the boss just left for the other facility with a group of (I assume) customers. Dunno when he’ll be back. Fortunately, I have other things to do in his absence, so I won’t be idle… much…

Co-worker just went out to pick up our lunch because we decided we all wanted to order Chinese. Most of the places I’ve ordered from around here seem like a pale imitation of Chinese food, but this place has the best sesame chicken I’ve eaten in fifteen years. PLUS, I will probably do most of my eating at my desk before lunch actually starts, meaning I get to just spend my actual lunchtime sitting in my car and reading without having to worry about going somewhere to forage for foods.
It’s the little things that make the day.
