Have you had any problems with the police department? Perhaps they mistook your address for another where they had planned to throw flash bang grenades.
He was here yesterday.
Did call him, he said he’d try and get someone to come round take a look at it, problem is, he’s off on holiday next week for a couple of weeks. I can use the hob (stovetop to most of you, probably?) anyway, as it’s gas, so not on the same system. I won’t be forced to subsist on sammiches and cereal.
That is damned suspicious. :dubious:
Home, tired, in no mood to cook and no mood to go get anything. It’s so hard to be me!!
FCD’s dad should be home by now. When he called me earlier this afternoon, they were doing the discharge paperwork. They said it went well, but FIL will have to be off his foot for 2 weeks at least. **FCD **was going to ask if he could get one of those knee scooters.
It’s almost 90° so I had to close the house and turn on the air. Rumor has it, the temps will drop tonight with a cold front. Here’s hoping.
Someone wanna bring me supper?? PLEEEEEEASE??? <sad puppydog eyes>
So that’s why hobgoblins are called that. Have you considered you may have a goblin infestation? I recommend traps.
What if it’s a nice hobgoblin?
Moomm if FCD Dad is allowed a knee scooter, I recommend Amazon. The dr’s office was going to rent or sell me one that would have cost several hundred. I got the same thing on Amazon for about $100.
What are hobgoblin traps?
I assumed Medicare would cover a knee scooter, but I’ll let him know about Amazon.
I had some cheese ravioli for supper. meh. I’ll have punkin pie later - that may help.
I actually do have a hobgoblin in the cupboard.
I don’t consider this to be a problem, but I’ll try removing and disposing of it tomorrow anyway. For science.
Dindin has been ingested. Once again, I done good. We shall have leftovers tomorrow. All is well.
Pumpkin pie always helps, especially with ice cream.
The internet is back. Woo hoo. Now we just need TV and all the utilities will work but at least now I can stream movies or use Amazon for TV.
Yay for Internet!
Nut I approve of your dedication. You know. To science.
metal mouse, coaching a group of kids under 10 sounds suspiciously like herding cats.
I got a check in the mail today from AT&T for a whopping $.66. It cost almost as much for postage as the check was worth. Considering accounting and such, it actually cost more.
Or freshly whipped cream! yum!!!
I remembered Mel early enough today. With luck, I’ll be zonked out shortly after going to bed.
So glad tomorrow is the end of my work week.
I have acquired ice cream. After the children go to bed, I shall eat it. Mwahahahahaha!
I worked, walked Gordie, took a nap. Watching the hockey game
Nut ,whatever you do ,don’t open the fridge.
Yay for Internet, Butters!
red, herding cats and coaching 9-year old boys is an apt comparison, IMHO.
Coached my 4- and 5-year old girls team tonight, and while I hadn’t planned on coaching that age this year, I have to admit that they are an absolute joy and I collected about 5 hugs tonight (of course the hugs are barely at my thigh, but they still count).
Gave the lawn a good soaking, no rain in the forecast this week or next, so it needed it. Disconnected a couple of cheapo sprinklers that never worked properly and put out a couple that do work well, so all the lawn got covered. Mowage will probably ensue on Sunday or Monday.
Butters, good on the internet. Still a ways to go, I’m sure, but step by step…
