I steamed some shrimp for supper. I’ll have an apple later. No pie till after my blood is drawn… I guess that means pie will be breakfast tomorrow.

I got the online paperirk for the Evil Hospital assignment. Looks like I start next Wednesday. Tomorrow’s my last day at my current part-time assignment and the lady I’m working with promised me lunch.

My manager took us to lunch at the Mexican place in our business park today. There was enough that I got supper out of the deal too. Rearranged over a salad, but enough that I am now stuffeded. Tomorrow should be light. Month end is pretty much wrapped up. It’s just me, one cycle counter and the geeks in my department. I hope that one of the geeks gives me a report that will allow me to begin my project for October, since I have to be there until three. Otherwise, it will be a day of thumb twiddling.
Howdy. TV is back now too. I was able to see the horror that is Puerto Rico and learned that Hugh Hefner died. I think he was one of my Death pool picks. Good for 9 points. I went for quantity over points.
I used annual leave today and did housework and cooked a decent meal. Still more housework to do but tis better. I did a ton of laundry including all the bedding for both beds. Now I have the dishwasher washing and need to take a shower so I can get up at a decent hour. Payroll tomorrow. Still not opening until Moanday or Tuesday. Ticket office is a low priority. Suits me.
Yay for life getting back to semi normal butters! Somehow or another, in light of the Irma devastation, EoM doesn’t seem so bad.

I know people who had a 4-bedroom house. Once (some of) the kids were gone, they blew out their bathroom thru one of the bedrooms & put a huuuugggge 6 or 8 person hot tub in the master bath. It was so big (& wide) that they didn’t need a shower curtain anymore; water from the shower head couldn’t reach that far over. Of course, it was either 50 or 60 gallons to fill, & the house only had a 40 gal hot water heater (& where it was tucked in, there was no space to put in a larger one). There were some fun HS parties when his parents went away. 
The oven just dinged; dinner time.
Did my daily soccer coaching, cashed a check for spending money in October, and gassed up the car. Also called my brother, who wasn’t home since this is his bowling night, but talked to sis-in-law instead.
Had a PLT for dinner (Pepsi with a big bowl of lettuce and tomatoes).
You should have 3-D printed the shrimp.

Somehow, I don’t think plastic shrimp would be quite as tasty…
I woke at 4:30, dammit. So I’m showered, dressed, and I’ve been drinking water in the hopes that it will make my veins more cooperative. Cat box is clean and dog has been tended to. I could do other chores, but I don’t feel like it. So I set the timer to remind me when it’s time to go, and I’ll goof off here till then.
It’s a gloriously cool 55° morning! I have a list of things I want to accomplish today - we’ll see how it goes. First two, of course, are blood followed by breakfast. I’m getting my hunger headache already, dammit. But I’ll survive.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienaitn’. YAWN ‘Tis 67 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 94 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. We’re promised a cool down to the 80s next week. We shall see. I need to do some errands this mornin’ so I think in a little while I shall purtify and head out to get ‘em done. I will also go see Miss Becky this afternoon right after N.O.L. Dindin was goin’ to be burgers ‘n fries but that will be tomorrow instead. OYKW is jonesin’ for majik intartoobz pizza.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I suppose I should get a move on. Rah.

It’s cloudy here with rain projected. I am happy.
I had to close all but one window (which I left open just a crack), in spite, last night. Temps dropped 20-30° in just two days.

The days getting shorter so short one’s outdoor activities get curtailed/go away, & it not only gets colder, but we get the @#$%& 30° temp swings between morning & afternoon. I can dress for warm, or cold, but not both at the same time. :mad:
Mooommm, how the blood drawing go? Did the [del]phlebotomist[/del] artist use red ink? 
Back. The phlebotomist wasn’t very good - from what I could tell, she only got a tiny bit in each tube. I hope it’s enough. For whatever reason, she took it from the back of my hand. I was not impressed.
Afterwards, I had a chickie bizkit at BK, went to Lowe’s for 3 dozen pansies, then to WalMart for night lights and some cleaning supplies. Next stop was Hair Cuttery, followed by a trip to Food Lion for some veggies and 2 slabs of ribs (to be smoked tomorrow.)
While I was gone, the guy came and spread the pile of dirt that they dug out for our slab. I need to rake thru it all and pull out all the roots and debris. But first, I have chores in the house - like emptying and refilling the dishwasher, and rubbing down the ribs. I should have a look at my To-Do list. Oh yeah - trash and recycling…

Or my mothers. Have I ever told you guys how she made spaghetti? Use a deep frying pan, bring the water to a boil, throw in the spaghetti, bring it back to a boil, drain off the water and add the sauce. Yeah, basically fried starch in tomato sauce.
The woman not only hates me, she never could cook for shit. Except stuffed cabbages. Those she did terrific!
She should have used more black powder? 
On other fronts; laundry is started and the top coat of poly is on the desk top. The top is going to take several days and multiple layers but I’m really liking it. I may have to get instructions for that photo-thingy Spidey set up for me before.
(Not right now — until after Phunfest my brain is full)
Started a load of laundry, and walked Gordie. Might take a pre game nap.
