Indian Summer MMP

[Wade Minter]CAAAANNNNNEESSS WIIIINNNNNNN!!![/Wade Minter]:D:D:D

I agree. We use one at the Booster Club table.

Lots of puttering tomorrow but we’re meeting friends for breakfast at our favorite dive so I can live with it. And besides, Thursday we head for the Wyoming Valley and the comfort of my family. And the resultant explosions. And then to Knoebels. And destroying a bumper car or two. And then back home via my favorite armory.

Why is it that my idea of relaxation is most people’s idea of mayhem?

Mayhem is relaxing. That’s why people fantasize about being pirates, not accountants.

Tomorrow we pick up the RV. Yay!

Today daughter got concussion playing football at school. Boo! It turned into a busy afternoon. She’s on very limited activity for several days. Not even any books. Poor thing.

Disjointed night - I had trouble falling asleep, then I woke around 3 with my shins all itchy (dry skin) and even after I slathered lotion on them, it took a while to drop off again. I drifted in and out and finally got up shortly after 7. I’m having a pizza breakfast with a side of Diet Coke - breakfast of champions!!! Taz just horked up on the rug, so I guess I’m getting the carpet cleaner out again. Dammit.

Sunny - hope your daughter is OK! I know kids get hurt all the time - we all did in our youth - but concussions are scary! Poor kid…

Chores ahead, after I don appropriate attire.

Happy Saturday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin out and partly cloudy with a predicted high of 88 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Tomorrow’s high is predicted to be 76 Amurrkin but then temps will climb back into the upper 80s next week. I shall make tea and a corn casserole for tomorrow’s doin’s over to the church house. I have tea (three boilers even) steepin’ as I post. I may go ahead and take it over to the church house today bein’ I will have to leave da cave because I need a new plunger. I was uncloggin’ a terlet last night (this time it was my fault) and noticed the plunger has a rip. Oh well. I have no idea how long I’ve had the thing so I guess a new one is in order. Howzzat for TMI?

Sunny poor Beamette! Hope she’s better soonest.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I suppose I should purtify so as to face the public. Le sigh.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

sunny, I hope that beamette checks out OK.

swampy, I’ve never even heard of anyone else wearing out a terlet plunger.

Up, caffeinating, breakfasting and getting ready for a day around the house. The bed is stripped, sheets and towels in the washer and I’m just about ready to do the dishes. Go me!

Ribs are in the smoker. First load of laundry washed, second load in the washer. I’ve showered and dressed and changed the towels in the master bathroom. The living room is vacuumed and I sprayed spot cleaner on the hork spots. After I get the sheets out on the lines, I’ll fire up the carpet cleaner and do the traffic areas of the living room, including the hork spots. Between the open windows and the ceiling fan, it should dry quickly. I hope.

Once laundry is done, I’ll commence to playing in dirt, pausing only occasionally to add chips to the smoker. I should set a timer - forgot when I put them in, tho… oops! I think they’ll be ready to come out around 5.

And it’s only 10:30!!!

Now that is just plain funny there about the plunger. Lol. :D:D:D

Chore update -

The last load is in the washer.
The carpet has been cleaned and fans are aimed at it,
I added chips to the smoker.

Now it’s lunch time. Then I’ll go out and start raking the yard. Good times…

Dogs are playing, I am having coffee. We’ll be leaving in a few hours to pick up the RV. I kept having dreams about needing to get tickets from everyone who was going to get the RV, and of course it was impossible to round everyone up. That part all makes sense. The part that was weird was that in middle of the dream I thought “and I have to tell the MMP about this dream.”

How do you rip a plunger?

I’ve caffienated and grocery shopped. I’m debating if I to go to the orchard to get my favorite apples today or tomorrow. This decision will be easier after lunch.

One doesn’t even have to use a plunger much for it to split. Rubber rots, you know.

I have procured a new plunger and the terlet situation is resolved. I have no idea how the old plunger got a rip. I have had the thing for years. Maybe they do wear out eventually. Seriously it’s been with me through at least five moves over the years. I took the tea over to the church house. The flower guild, whatever that is, was makin’ arrangements for the tables in the Parrish Hall. I was asked if I wanted to make one. I replied that Gabe (flower arranger extraordinaire) would throw me through a window if I even tried.

It is probably under quite a bit of stress, being stretched and forming back into shape.

**swampy **- they do wear out. 'tis the way of the world!

I just finished folding and stowing the load of whites - including pairing a gazillion socks! The sheets are still on the lines, but the rest of the laundry is done. I fully intended to work in the yard today, but I just don’t want to. It’s overcast and chilly (only 66°!!!) and breezy. Yeah, good weather for raking and stuff. I just don’t want to. blech.

I ran down to WaWa to get a salad for supper, and when I came back, I noticed the plunger sitting in our garage. I kinda knew it was there, but its presence gave me a giggle this afternoon.

Laundry is all done. Ribs are in. Living room is put back together. I think I’m done for today.

We had a <snerk> Quickie! <snerk> supper. Fried chikin is on the menu and OYKW was jonesin’ as they do make good fried chikin. I had a patty melt and fries as I do love their patty melt. Apple pie with ice cream for later if desired. Who am I kiddin’. Of course it will be desired.

I reckon eventually most everything wears out. New plunger did the job however. A couple of plunges and terlet went “WHOOSH!” like nuttin’ was ever wrong.

I made the corn casserole. It cooled down and is now in the fridge. I have a note beside the coffee maker to remind me to take it out in the mornin’ to set a bit before I nuke it up. OYKW says I have a severe case of CRS. I am always leavin’ myself notes by the coffee maker or on the kitchen door leadin’ to the garage. This is not a recent thing either. I have always done this.

I am marinating chicken for kabobs on the grill. Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) mentioned that she had some nice ones at the state fair some time ago.

Worked, came home. making Mesquite chicken for dinner. Having a Clawhammer, since it’s my Friday.
