Ok, maybe I am not mighty and only a honorary Osip.
I am 29 years old. Single as can be. I can out run most of the redneck women here. Those I can’t simple math will confuse them long enough to plot an excape.
I work as a locksmith and live alone with my two dogs.
I have all my fingers, toes and original teeth.
I spend to much time reading the boards and not much posting. I read anything with Aha, ultress, Wally, coldfire or swimmingriddles as the author.
I have a strange facination with soviet poetry.
I tell myself every morning I am master of my fate and captian of my destiny. Then cry “Oh shit”
anything else just ask.
Details? Baby, I’ve been watching your posts like a hawk - when I can find 'em. grin
Oh, leave that to the marketing guys. Tell us about YOU, not yer company.

I have a decent, but thankless job, working the graveyard and watching our customers websites.
Oh, and I’m 23.

Graveyard is a tough shift, I’ve heard. How do you handle it? What are your living conditions like (place/style/type of home, etc)? What else can I get outta ya? (email? ICQ? AIM? Anything else I can either use in Win or fake in Redhat? grin)
Hahahaha! I laughed loudly enough at this that people around me were asking what was so funny. Have your ears recovered from the fingers that were always stuck in them too?
What KIND of supercomputers? Don’t just leave me hanging like that, tell me what you’ve GOT!

Right now I’m looking at the latest processor technology which is as yet not released, new OSs and new memory due to come out soon (for Intel based machines). Can you say “Geek”? Gotta have a drink some time soon though…

pantpant oooooooooooooooooooo WHERE do you work, that you have your hands up to the elbows in that stuff?
Well, since zyada and ultress seem to want to know, I’ll be glad to tell. I’m male, straight, 50, and working on being single (wouldn’t it be nice to just fill out a form and be done with it?).
I live in Burnaby, B.C. (in Canada, next to Vancouver, for those who don’t know), and pretend to work at computer support for a local college.
Since that seems not to say much of anything significant, feel free to ask, either here or by mail
It has been so long since I heard that name that it took me a second to figure out how to say it (then it just rolled off my tongue like it used to). Wow.
Good luck. I’ve heard it’s not nearly as bad as you’d think. Of course, I heard that from a certified (and certifiable) genius, so take it with a grain of salt anyway.
Even if I’d been trolling for partners (which I wasn’t), I wouldn’t have needed to know that. However, no, it doesn’t make a difference - actually, you were one of the people who were on my list there, but DB worked better than ‘dain bread, no, drain bread, no… um…’
Noone needs to know, but it’s kind of neat to know - how did you two meet?
I loved FF7. But I’m the type of player who spent literally days worth of hours breedingchocobos. laugh
First off, I’m single and straight(I saw further down in the OP). Graveyard sucks, but when you begin to live it like a life and not just a day job, it gets easier. I resisted the first couple weeks and was miserable as all getup…then, I assimilated!!
I live in the ghetto(what we consider the ghetto around here, it ain’t really that bad). Uhh…it’s a mess! It is a turn of the century house(california bungalow style). It’s just my brother and I sharing a 3 bedroom house, both bachelors(trouble).
Well, saince you asked…I’ll give you the straight dope on Sam’s contact info… gawd@local420.net AOL/AIM–TheFab1 and I don’t ICQ.
Back to the OP. I think it was agreed upon by virtually everyone on the board that I have probably the worst ex-spouse out of everybody on this board. Not going into any more details because frankly I’m sick of bitching about him all the time. There has got to be something more in life to talk about.
I’m married (to hubby number two) and have four kids and four stepkids, which I guess also gives me the record for having the most kids out of anybody else on this board. I was born and raised in the burbs of San Francisco and Detroit and my grandparents are all originally from the hills of Arkansas and Tennessee and the swamps of Louisiana. I may have spent most of my life in the Great Lakes, but I have too much hillbilly blood in me. I mean, God forbid, I have found myself listening to country music lately and feeling this deep down urge to watch Wrestlemania.
Hmm. She and I are very different. We are opposite in just about every way… but I guess that old “opposites attract” thing works for us. I’m a really down to earth person, she’s… not, really. But she’s caring and sweet and all that fun stuff that really matters, and we agree on the fundamental values level so everything is peachy.
“awwwww.” I expect my doper friends to be thinking of me on July 4.
I work for a computer sales/leasing company called El Camino Resources. I support internal applications, mostly working on the app that the sales people use for submitting deals and one that people use for document generation. Both are VB apps. Currently I’m trying to get Adobe (acrobat) to work with Microsoft (vb and word), but they aren’t playing nice. As usual.
And Cosmin, unfortunately Xorlords is lost. It only runs on SGI’s anyways, but I’m sorry its gone. Oh well. It was so cool too… we even added our own sound effects! Bah.
This is a cool thread. Interesting stuff. Anyone else out here near me? San fernando valley, CA?
Aww… no Xorlords?
Oh well… I guess it’s my turn to talk now anyways.
I’m a 16 year old guy, in Ontario, Canada.
I was born in Bucharest, Romania and came to Canada when I was 9.
I don’t do much… I don’t really work… I plan to leech off my parents for a while, and then get a job at MacDonald’s and move into a tiny apartment or something…
Right now I waste most of my time by sitting around the house listening to my mp3s, playing Quake, reading and posting on here, and talking to people on ICQ and IRC.
I like music and computers and stuff…
Has anyone here heard of Slipknot? They kick ass
I’m 29, and that’s not a euphamism, I really am. I was born in Windsor, Ontario and now live right next door in Tecumseh. I have somewhere between one and four kids, 2 cats, and my husband has a dog. I am married to an absolutely fabulously wonderful man who adores me, which is his best quality. His worst quality is that he likes pro wrestling, by the way.
I am a total computer geek - I work as a Network Engineer, and am constantly pursuing new certifications. I have my MCSE, A+, and just completed my CNE.
I love to travel - so far I have been to Thailand, Ireland, Mexico, and Chicago
Grean Bean, if you’re in the Slope and you want soul food, pass Sweet Mama’s by and come over to my crib (just a block away). I may be an ofay Yankee boy, but my fried chicken, ribs, pork chops, fried fish, red beans and rice, Hopping John, pintos with ham hocks, gumbo z’herbes, cornbread, etc., are ten or twelve times better than that place, if I do say so myself.
Sweet Mama’s. Pfui. They put SUGAR in their cornbread. Their chicken, their beans, taste of NOTHING. They’re only popular because nobody knows how to cook that kinda stuff themselves any more.
