Thanks, Q.E.D. You’re right on the first one (Mick Key Meows = Mickey Mouse) I hope I didn’t make them too difficult/obscure.
At the moment I only have one bunny, an 8-year-old, litter-trained female mini-Rex (uppy-eared, not lop).
This sig-file is being refurbished for your future enjoyment
Oooo…i have a friend in Cali who raises rex rabbits. And a sorta girlfriend in England who has ten babbits of varying breeds. I used to have rabbits when I was younger too, mostly Dutch belted. Some of them had bunnies, and they were soooo cute!
For some reason, I’m thinking your last one is Bond Girl?
Hey, Jeff could you rephrase those in proper Invisible Idiots format? I’m having trouble figuring out if your clues are parts of wors, whole words, both or what?
All answers are one word. All are pretty much broken up by syllable except for #3 & #7.
They also follow a theme.
smoke marajuana, me = Tokyo
Musci, bovine = Moscow
laundering, weight = Washington
Okay… the first time I’ve ever done this, so bear with me.
It’s a quote from a movie.
letter after n; brand of cat food sans s; board game; optical reciever; melting; baby sheep; clothe with; add up, victory; style of train in Chicago, sound a snake makes.
Ah, man, that was awful… <wince>
Yeah, that’s the idea.
Yikes! That’s a tough one, IThinkNot. I got the last bit, Ellis, but that’s about it. I need to see more movies!
Isn’t anyone going to tackle my last ones?
So answer it!
Oops, sorry 'bout that— simulpost again, damn.
And the last part isn’t Ellis. Sorry. It’s close— just eliminate the I.
Is that giving too much away? I know I screwed up on some of it— oh, well. Maybe I’m just not smart enough for this…
Yeah, me and my annoying simulposts.
I’m trying, I’m trying!
Hmmmm…
style of train in Chicago = El.
sound a snake makes= hiss
I put that together and get Ellis. Am I missing something?
Ummm, no… I just made it too sloppy.
style of train in Chicago= El (you had that right)
sound a snake makes= ssss (you had that right, too)
Elssss = Else.
<ducks to shield head from rotten tomatoes being thrown>
I’m fresh out of tomatoes, will eggs go? I’d have gone with “Styles of trains in Chicago”. But you definitley have the idea. I’m still working on it.
Eggs? Ewww… but they say eggs are good for your hair!
A question (to improve my further efforts): why the plural of “style” and “train”? My best guess is that it’s to accentuate the “ss” sound, instead of the actual spelling. Right?
I’ll keep working on cleaning it up. Good luck!
Well you wanted Els, rather than El + hiss. You could have also used “Train style in Chicago, sybilant”. Not that your way was bad. Actually, it was pretty clever, in terms of throwing people off, which is the idea in puzzles.
Welcome BunnyLady! My GF has an 8 yr old lop-eared mini-lop.
Mickey Mouse (But Q.E.D. already got that one)
Tampa Bay
Alligator
Seagull?
I tried. I failed.
Cool game, though. I always liked the Callahan books, too.
