Yaay!
IMO / IME Walgreen’s stocking situation is weird. Each one seems to carry a different collection of oddball candy. They’ve all got Lifesavers & Hershey chocolate and Snickers minis. After that it’s a crapshoot which store stocks what.
Once I stumble on the local store that stocks my preferred [whatever], I make a note so I can find it again. The website seems useless for finding which stores actually stock what.
My love of all things caramel-like started very young when I first had butterscotch ice cream. Then I’d steal my mother’s Almond Roca candies. Then I graduated to Heath Bars and Rolos. I will still overdose on toffee, given half a chance.
Anyway, Werther’s are a good choice for a reasonably priced caramel treat.
My wife and I keep a container filled with very Werther’s hard candies near out coats so every time we go, say, to the supermarket - which does carry Werther’s - we can stick a couple in a pocket. I didn’t used to be a fan but I tried them and converted.
