The last four days have either been consumed by working 14-16 hour days, or drinking at the end of said long days.
Tomorrow is a mental health day.

Morning all. HRH and I are still full of Teh Snot!
That is all …
I really hope this week is not a foreshadowing of weeks to come. I never knew teaching 6 classes would be so much more exhausting than teaching 4.
On the bright side, I treated myself to sushi after my evening class. And Book V of The Dark Tower.
:: hugs for Pie ::
Don’t be silly McUne, of course we want you keep us updated. I’m glad to hear the SOB will be behind bars soon.
One thing is for sure - my new work schedule is going to make me appreciate Firdays more than ever. :: collapses onto sofa ::
No, no, I don’t want the sink, FCM, it wouldn’t fit with my decor nearly as well as it fits with yours! Seriously, I can see in another 20 years someone going out of their way to put a sink like that in as an “antique.” Along with the orange shag carpeting and the mirror tiles on the wall.
Well, as of Firday next week, Papa Tigs will be taking every other Firday off – yay for RDOs! Considering that today he left “early” to avoid the worst of the weather traffic (after working only eight hours, what a short day for him!), he could probably take every Firday off and still put in more than 40 hours a week. But he’ll take what he can get, obviously!
I’ve been working, but probably not as hard as I should. I’m more than 1/3 of the way through super-SUPER-rush job, which is going fine but I just would rather go sleep. Oh well, maybe in another hour or two.
Some new sheets that I’d ordered at DEEP discount arrived today – heavy Egyptian cotton 600 TC sheets, simply lovely! Buttery soft! I asked Papa Tigs to toss them in the washer/dryer while I was working, but I forgot to tell him to not be quite as enthusiastic with the dryer as he often is – I caught the second set before they were over-dried, but the first set was not only over-dried but then he piled the sheets, unfolded, on top of the dryer so they were a mass of wrinkles. :smack: He knows enough to take his good slacks out of the dryer quickly, but apparently has never figured out that good sheets do NOT need to be in the dryer on high for an hour! Methinks I shall be washing the new sheets from now on.
Back to the salt mines.
Is it possible to be too tired to go to bed? That’s how I feel right now. :: lies twitching on sofa ::
Where’s the rest of the night shift? I realize that most of the folks across the Big Pond are on their weekend, but there’s still a few of us Murkins here in the wee hours, aren’t there? I need distraction from my work! 30-second online sanity (or insanity, as the case may be) breaks are just about the only thing that keeps me going at this time of night!
Hello! I’m finally here!
Welcome to the world Nat and congrats to the Li-Li family! I hope the c-section recovery is speedy.
Congrats to Dotty as well on the new job! Nice going! A fifty percent pay increase is incredible.
Today (or yesterday as of 13 minutes ago) was my Friday because tomorrow is my RDO. I luuuurve having RDOs. This weekend is a bonus because it’ll be a four day weekend for me.
Nothing too new or exciting going on here. The big 99 shindig is on for Saturday, and today after work, I stopped at Costco to pick up a couple of things for the party. Either tomorrow or Saturday, I need to head to Safeway to pick up Solo cups and plates. I think I’ll pick up some cheese and crackers along with a veggie tray. We’ll have meatballs, the crackers and cheese, and the veggies to nosh on while playing and to help soak up the alcohol that will be imbibed.
I think I’m going to relax on the couch for a bit. It’s been a long, long day.
Hi Mamatigs!
I hope you’re sleeping by now because it’s really late where you are now. And I hope your work is already done.
But in case you aren’t, I’m waving a bit of (in)sanity your way. ~wave~
I fell asleep around 8 and am now quite awake.
Quazi Daughter started an official news about LiLi and baby thread over here. with lots of details.
Back to trying to sleep.
Hi Taters and Roo!!!
GT
I’m awake, but just barely.
Afternoon everyone. I am up to my eyeballs in soggy tissues and baby boogers! Envy me!
Poor little HRH is down again for another nap (earlier than usual) because she is so stuffed up and tired and grumpy. To make matters worse, she has a really bad case of nappy/diaper rash, so every time I change her and wipe her little bottom, she screams and shakes from the ouchies and the cold.
Sigh!
MamaT, I lurve new sheets. I need to buy some more, as well as a clothes dryer. I never really missed having a dryer before now, but we go through so many baby clothes with the winter layers (not to mention semi-solid foods being eaten, smeared and thrown with vigour around the dining room) and the weather has been cold, wet and miserable lately, making it very difficult to dry clothes.
{{{Cutie}}} I hope today will be a better day for you!
Hi Roo!!! ::waves madly:: How are you???
:vvvrrrrooooommmmmm:
Another drive-by, I’m busy being at least five people today! Hope everyone’s well and happy - hugs, yays, boos, appropriate and inappropriate appendage crossing to whoever needs it!
Hi everybody!
GT, thanks for posting the link to QD’s thread! Now I feel all caught up
**McUNE **-- thanks for keeping us posted on your stuff! And I’m glad it looks like somebody finally cares up there!
**Haze **-- I know what you mean. Although lack of further posting suggests you did manage to get to sleep?
{{{{CutiePie}}} Not a good few days for you…
Yay, boo and general arm-waving in everybody else’s direction.
Off to work again. Tomorrow’s forecast:Rain or 6-12 inches of snow. Hockey tonight.
Slept better last night, but am off to work again, soon. It’s like I have a job or something. I think I got really really used to the being canceled thing–I could never be self-employed; I like to procrastinate too much.
It’s Firday! Everyone have a drink on me.
Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. Soon purtification shall commence. It’s Firday so that means no work past five p.m. However, it may mean more like four cause I’ve been at that place an average of ten hours a day this week.
gt thanks for pointin’ us toward QD’s thread. Now we need pictures. STAT!
Y’all have a good day!
Wait, do I have to climb you in order to get to that drink? Oh, OK…
Just be thankful I used “climb” instead of “mount!”
Happy Firday! Is it quit o’clock yet? Caffinating, and brekkie consumed.
My luck with roadside animules continues, as I sent a possum to his heavenly reward this morning, simultaneously providing a quick snack for the Cottonfield County vultures.
Speaking of which, I am annoyed by the local news media. Do they ever cover the arsons, assaults, shootings, and drug raids that go on in Cottonfield County NC? No… But let some 18 year old punk have 5 fighting dogs, 2 of which are dead, and he’s on the run from multiple MISDEMEANOR counts, and you’d think he was the subject of the biggest manhunt in US history. There ain’t enough  and :dubious: to cover my disgust at the reportage.
I have 2 ambulance shifts to pull this weekend, so there should be a juicy tale come Monday. Carry on.
Happy Firday before the three-day weekend Mumpers! I wish I had thought to take today off and made it a four day weekend. Oh, well.
I need to write my OP for Monday today and e-mail it to my home computer. I have absolutely no idea what it will be about. I will think of something.
I’m off to read QD’s thread.
Later.

ZZZzzzzzzzZZZZZZzzzzz…
NKKKKKHKHkhkzzzzzzz[sub]zzzz[/sub]BWUH!
Wha…? Whoa. I seem to have fallen off the face of the Earth this week.
As it turns out I’ve been getting my head into a few pet projects and hashing out details and stuff. I was brought back by the reup notification I got in E-Mail – which made me realize my sub was up today! Naturally this needed to be rectified, so I rectified the hell out of it.
And here I am again. Truth be told, I was also in a bit of a haze. The week started on an hour or so of sleep, so the rest of the week was spent trying to de-zombify myself. I think I’ve succeeded – hey, I’m here, and it’s Friday to boot! Woohoo!
Playing catch-up here will prove to be an insurmountable task, so I’ll just start from this page. ![]()
VBob - Around here, the idiots get news coverage, too – but often as not those idiots were of the sort who were unnaturally lucky not to have Darwinized themselves in the process of their stupidity, but usually manage to cause far too much damage to others. Just last week in Toronto, for example, some future Darwin winner, in a bid to make some money off scrap metals that weren’t yet scrap, was trying to steal the copper fittings from one of a pair of propane tanks he had stolen – by trying to break them off with a hammer. What happened next was predictable and sad. Amazingly the guy survived relatively unharmed (and is subsequently being charged with capital dumbassery, a class-B felony if I recall) as did the families whose homes he burned to cinders. (Story)
Puggy - You guys have a long weekend? Lucky bastages. Our next holiday isn’t 'til February 18th, which is the newly-minted Family Day. (Prior to this year, there were no long weekends after the new year 'til Easter!) This is also the week I take my first week of vacation, so I get two long weekends in a row. ![]()
LiLi - Congrats to you and all of your husbands on the new ankle biter! (Er, ankle gummer I suppose, at least 'til he starts teething.) At least the full-pregnancy morning sickness will finally be gone. Now you’ll have all new and wonderful reasons to be sick!
No, seriously, congrats on wee Nate.
Mmkay, must tend to bidniz for a while.
