It's a Moving and Grooving MMP!

Send the cleaners to my house when they’re done, the door from the living room to the balcony appears to be a primo restaurant spot for them too-legged critters.

**CatDude **- why would window washers put spiders on your windows??

Hey, Drae! LTNS!!!

They have to put them somewhere.
:dubious:

It’s a special service, you pay extra.

Are the spiders pre-smushed, or still alive? Where do they get the spiders??

I’m perky which considering how badly I slept is a surprise. Darn allergies are hitting me this week.

MetalMouse! Yay for being alive and having fun!

Nava feel better.

Mooommm you should go to the nice doctor. Unless the pain is gone (completely and absolutely) you have a problem. You need to fix the problem before you end up with a really serious problem. Think of this like the dentist. Don’t avoid her now when things might still be easy to fix.

Anyone who has air chillier than say 80 - eat worms. I mean, I envy you. It always, always cools down here at night. The benefit of living by the ocean. Nope. Not the last week or so. Daytime high around 100. Low in the 70s, no breeze. I’m not built for this. Particularly not the week that I’m packing everything up. I’m wilting. eeeeeeeee

Off to boot girl out of bed rudely for sew camp. Quilts don’t make themselves you know.

Girl booted and out the door. After I finish my belated brekkie, boy shall join me in freeing the remaining boxes from the attic before it becomes a death trap. I fear a shopping trip for more boxes is in my future.

Purge your belongings people. Live like college students: 5 t-shirts, ramen and a mug. It’s the only way. sobs

Drae!
::tackle hug::

HI ROSIE!!

I swear I posted a whole thing about moving and downsizing crap. But apparently I have forgotten how to use the “submit” button.

Salud!

It sounds like you’re having a good time on your trip, metal mouse.

sunny, I have to stop for more tape this evening and pick up more boxes from my friend who is unpacking from his move this weekend. I gave notice to my current landlord last night. All she asked was to make sure everything is out and that the kitchen and bathroom is clean. They will replace the carpet and paint once I’m gone.

Finally getting a breather from putting out fires and month end stuff to work on the backlog of admin duties.

Blurf At irk. A while ago I started to smell paint and it got worse and worse. I find out there is man from PW in the mechanical room painting the floor. Who was the genius who wanted the floor of the mechanical room painted? Makes absolutely no sense. No one ever even sees that floor. Of course since it is the mechanical room the A/c handlers are drawing the paint fumes into the building. Arrrrrgggggg.

**Butters **- sometimes floors are painted to make them easier to keep clean. I assume it’s a poured concrete floor - if you spill oil or other nasties on bare concrete, it’s difficult, if not impossible to clean. But a good floor paint will save you that agony. But yeah, painting near the a/c in this weather is DUMMMMMMMMMMM!

Day is almost done. Yay! Now, what to make for supper…

Zombie threads are not that uncommon, but zombie posters?
Welcome back, Drae!
How’s ME?

We’re going to check out a restaurant that just opened this week in Leonardtown, because I don’t feel like cooking.

What kind of restaurant?

Howdy Y’all! I’m back at da cave. I left Ye Olde Home Towne this mornin’ at seven and went in to the orifice. I started eom stuff and will finish it up tomorrow. Next week will be end of quarter and end of year stuff. My last ever. I’d say how sad that makes me but I’ve been told it ain’t nice to lie. taters I shall be a retired bear as of July 29th. Well, kinda sorta July 18th as my last two weeks of irk are actually vacation time.

{{{gotti}}}

Drae!!! LTNS! You still in Maine? it was Maine you moved to right?

We did Krystal for dindin. ‘Twas good but I have a feelin’ I shall regret it in a while.

I read all but retained little so, yays, boos, hugs, smoochies, nougies, chitlins, trouts, wedgies, how you doin’s all around as needed.

**Fonz **- I don’t know if it’s really a type of restaurant. It calls itself a tavern and restaurant and the menu features sammiches, a few salads, and several dinners, heavy on crabcakes and shrimp, plus ribs and I think 1 steak. It was OK, but I don’t see it being part of our regular rotation of dining out. Plus it’s a tad pricey - one salad, one crabcake sandwich, one iced tea, and one water came to just over $24. I’ve been told that because of its location in a high rent district coupled with its small size, they have to charge on the higher side. This is the 6th incarnation of that particular place. It was Perkins, then Arizona Pizza, then Rustic River, then a Japanese place, then a Vietnamese place, and now this. Perkins lasted the longest and was always busy - dunno why they closed, alas.

After we ate, we stopped by the credit union to deposit a check we got from our mortgage company - too much in our escrow account, apparently. That’s always a nice surprise. Plus our monthly payment is going down something like $5 - woohoo! Then I ran to Food Lion to get some sweet cherries - they’re $1.99/lb this week - YUM!!!

Day is done. Shortly, I will shed my work garments and do the robe-and-slippers thing. Chillage shall ensue.

Gee, swampy, why July 29th???

So, it was for yuppies, then?

I have purchased more boxes. Everything is out of the attic. My usual pounding headache is now a POUNDING headache. I have tracked down the flooring guy and I think that’s moving ahead. The painter is confirmed for next week. I tracked down the mover and reminded him he owed me packers. He is supposed to call me back. Fingers crossed I’ll have help for the next 2 days. So close…
