Here’s hoping it’s just a pregnant ear wig.
Commence twitching…NOW.
Another Southern pea I’ve grown fond after they grew like weeds the hothothot summer of 2007 here is cowpeas, purple hull variety. Sweet, yummy, great w/ just butter and dill to dress them and they go w/ everything! Even go well cold on a salad.
Projected to be 60 and sunny today here. I am supposed to be flying to Washington tomorrow which is obviously weather dependent now. Nuttin I can do!
I am full of snot again. And earache. And sore throat. Ick. Every 2 weeks this is at the moment. I have still not stopped coughing from the nasty chesty stuff I had before Christmas. mr ems wants me to go to the doctors and I have to almost agree with him at this point. Almost.
This is probably a good idea. Maybe breakfast-for-dinner, possibly on Thursday. Mr. Lissar won’t be home tonight or tomorrow night and I wouldn’t want him to miss the fun of saying, "What the hell is that? Why? Why?! at his dinner.
LiLi I want purple N.O.T.. After such things as blue rice and red smashed N.O.T. when I was a cub, I was forbidden by my mother to go near the food colorin’.
BooFae what BBBobbio and Ruble said about country fried steak.
Nawth purple hull peas are teh num too!
Chikin 'n dumplin’s, butterbeans and steamed baby carrots for dindin tonight. ‘Skettie sauce simmerin’ for tomorrow night’s dindin. Thus, da cave smells nummy!
MOG’s birthday is this Sunday. Thus, on Sattidy we are hostin’ a bday dindin for her. She wants turkey ‘n dressin’ and a candybar cake. So, a small turkey is thawin’ in da fridge. The things I do for friends!
It barely drizzled here today, altho it is grey and dreary and cold. From what I can tell, the evil weather is supposed to pass well north of us, leaving only rain. Which is good, since there’s a slim chance that **FCD **can come home tomorrow and I didn’t want BWI or National to be snowed in.
**wiki **- if Charley is a boy, there’s no way he’s coming in the house - I don’t need a true pissing contest between him and Taz. If Charley’s a girl, it’s still unlikely that I’ll let her in. I don’t have a good space for another cat box inside and there’s no way I can have 3 cats using one box. Plus Taz hisses at him/her anyway.
Nothing exciting here. Almost time to feed Scruffy then feed me. Daughter is out till later. Such is my life…
Looks like my sweetie will be home on Thursday - arriving at BWI at 10PM, getting him home some time after midnight. ugh for him - that’ll be a long day. But I’ll be glad to have him home.
Here in West Georgia it’s been raining off and on and from watching the Weather channel and all their “experts” I am constantly amazed at how much more accurate and precise our Atlanta TV stations’ meteorologists are.
I know this isn’t the case, but it seems like the Weather Channel predicts snow only when it is actually on the ground!
Enough already!
We were out to dinner this evening. Hubby’s salad arrived and a bit of something fell off onto the table. He looked at it, asked the server if it was an almond. She said yes, and he TOUCHED IT!
So far, he’s had two doses of epinephrine, many doses of albuterol and 50 mg of Benedryl. He’s starting to feel better.
I tried to get him to go to the ER, but since he had had a couple drinks, he wouldn’t go. :smack:
So far no notification on flights being cancelled (dammit!) so I will be up at the ass crack of dawn tomorrow for a long day and not back til Saturday late. Yuck.
