Nava, phone stuff is always frustrating - our voice mail system is awful because it gives too many options (too many instructions!) to leave a message, but at least everyone does get their own number and I don’t have to answer calls any more. I wish I was gonna be at Swampy’s tomorrow for that turkey dinner - yum!

Morning. Gnat’s off to his grandparents’ for the day, I’m going to do housework and reorganize everything, and Mr. Lissar will read Empire of Illusion, sit on the couch, and drink tea. Tom Kitten will scooch around our feet and burble, because he’s professionally cute.
Good to know that Bailey’s still around, even if you can’t quite catch him yet. Hope you can catch him soon. Maybe some sort of havahart trap baited with food?

Still tired today, even after an evening of knitting and going to bed early. I think tonight’s going to involve much laziness, followed by sleeping in tomorrow. Blurf.
Howdy Y’all! I’ve been home for about an hour and a half but have been a bzzy bear! Cake is made. Veggies chopped and marinatin’. Aigs boiled and coolin’ down now. Sweet N.O.T. peeled. Plus, one crisis averted!

When I made up the dressin’, as usual, there’s too much so I had some to freeze for later, which is a good thing. Well, I placed it in a two quart ziplock bag and placed the bag o’ dressin’ in a casserole dish so’s I could get it all nice and flat and put that in the kitchen fridge freezer just to freeze the dressin’ before puttin’ it out in the big freezer in the garage. What? In my mind that makes perfect sense! Well, I went to get some ice in a glass for iced tea and the casserole dish decided it wanted to slide out of the freezer. :eek: I caught it just before it hit the floor. Thuslll crisis averted!
Ok, now to make deviled aigs and get the sweet N.O.T casserole ready.
It’s so icky, cold and rainy out it’s a good time to be doin’ stuff like this.
So where the hell was the snow? Nooo - we just had freezing rain. People sliding around all over the freeway bridges, crashing into each other. It’s still 32°, but it’s supposed to warm up a bit and melt some of the ice. Then freeze again overnight.
My office opened at noon, but I declined to go in.
Sitting here in my jammies. I made an awesome breakfast of potato pancakes and scrambled eggs. Pot roast in the crock pot.
OK, all caught up. My sweetie has showered and donned clean clothes, so he’s happy. My second load of laundry is in the washer, so I’m making some progress, and it was a pretty good day at work - I love my boss!
**FCD **got a Camaro for his ride home. Now he wants one. He didn’t tell me he was a car nut before we married… I’ll never hear the end of this. :rolleyes:
This weekend will involve lots of laundry and probably the football game. And maybe some knitting. And chilling. And it’s supposed to rain.

Local Best Friend’s electricity came back mid-day yesterday. Thanks for all the good thoughts. Not a really big deal to have her over here since she used to live here and we’re unofficial family since both of our families are far away.
Am home. Need to finish off Valentine lists and get them sent out.
Nephew and brother will be here in about an hour, so it’ll be another wild Friday night chez GT.
We went out to eat at a place that used to be pretty nice. Well, they changed their crabcake to a giant crab ball, and our server pretty much seemed to forget us. Ya gotta figure there’s a problem when people who ordered after you get their food before you.
Oh well - I didn’t have to cook or do dishes, so there’s that.
Everything is prepped and ready for cookin’ tomorrow. Well, everything that needs to be cooked that is. Cake is made. Aigs deviled. Veggies marinated. Turkey prepped. Dressin’ made up. Candied sweet N.O.T. prepped. Dip made. Bear tahrd!
