Let’s see, in keeping with the general mayhem on the MMP this week, on Thursday I will have a tooth pulled. It’s cracked and keeps abscessing. In two weeks, ankle surgery to adjust the hardware they put in this summer. 3 more people have quit at work. I think that’s it for now.
On the plus side, rain tonight! 
I remember when he died; on the show and in real life. 
I opted for taking a little time off and we both went in the car. Turned out it could have worked (the rain just started here) but I was glad for a chance to hug our friends as well. So all in all not a bad deal.
(Won most original in the costume contest for Amish Santa. Some swag, a VISA gift card, and some candy. Our manager dressed up as the Great Pumpkin. And people wonder why I work so hard for her.

Don, Christmas presents? This means war
The short answer is its the price some vendors pay to have their stuff listed by Amazon. In the fine print, after Y days Amazon can lower the price and after Z days it can lower it to basically nothing. You have to honor that or risk having all your listings pulled. Mostly its on used books but I have seen them do it even on things they own themselves to get it out of the warehouses and free the space.
(One of the guys I worked with last December was a book seller on Amazon.)
I won’t speak for the Methodists since we’re in full communion with them and I hate to risk screwing that up; but as for the rest:
Amish Santa (AKA Yoder Claus) hands out tools and hard work
Reformed Judaism Santa (AKA Kosher Claus) mostly hands out gilt (Vat? You couldn’t call your mother vonce in a vile? And would it hurt to go out with that nice doctor from Temple? Oy!)
(I’m actually thinking of doing a Kosher Claus for Santarchy this year. I had a lovely pair of prayer curls made and that added to the usual Amish Santa outfit should work pretty well.)
Brought in the candy for the work party. I really tried to find some mini packs of Necco Wafers and Good n Plenty, but I couldn’t. Ended up with bubble gum and carmel apple Laffy Taffy.
Lessee - bladder woke me at 3. Higgs started fussing shortly thereafter. So I got up to deal with her and let my sweetie sleep, hoping she and I would snooze on the recliner. Then I started coughing (*someone *in this household gave me a cold, dammit!) So I decided to get up, I found my cough drops (a little relief) and I guess I’ll play on line till I have to start my day for reals.
It’s raining, not torrential as I’d expected, at least not yet, but definitely raining. In about 20 minutes, I’ll feed the dog and bag up lunches, then head back to dress for work. Gotta remember to take the cough drops with me. I’ve got tea bags in my cube - that’ll help. And when I get home today, I need to make 2 punkin pies for my sweetie to take to work tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow, it’s payday, so I’ve got that going for me anyway.

The channel I watch at this hour changed their line up again and yeah, sucks. It was too soon since the last time it changed up…and that sucked too!
All spiders all the time, they die! Creepy things creeping around waiting to pounce!
Raining here too. Dog wants to jump in the bed with the husband but he (the dog) was out side first thing this morning and he is all wet. We have a blanket on top of every thing on the bed so if the dog(s) jumps up all the mess is on there. Well dog is all wet and he ain’t getting up there this morning. He’s locked out until he dries and the husband (sleeping) is locked in!
I have a hook on the door because we have to be able to let the cats in while keeping the dogs out.
Hump day already? blah half way to the stinkin weekend again. I hate weekends.
