Today I have dusted, vacuumed, done some laundry, prepped some of the cabinets in the never ending kitchen remodel to be primed and now I have some garlic roasting in the oven to make garlicky roasted chicken for supper.
I just realised I need lunch to. Food!

Hi y’all! Life is still crazy, but in a good way. I am loving the weather and making my house a home. I am not missing Kodiak, with the exception of my daughter and my grand-kids, even the son-in-law!
.........zoom!Ours can’t, but some people who are clearly oh-so-very-important with their oh-so-very-important children decide to rent a room for their oh-so-very-important birthday party and then use the pool as part of the party. This is one reason that the person who shuts the pool down at night is a sheriff’s deputy (they do our security in their off-hours). I hope the one with no patience for idiots is on duty tonight. 
One of my fondest memories of working with Detailed AGM at night is when there was a bratchild birthday last year about this time (not the same people) and when they took over the lobby where we serve breakfast and started singing “Happy Birthday”, he joined in softly singing “Happy birthday little bi-itch…”
Spaz I think I’d get along really, really well with Detailed AGM!

JDD really outdid himself on dessert. Or, as we say, really gayed it up! Chawklit Creme Brulee! NUM! The best part is he told me I get to use his little torch thingy to carmelize mine! Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy! Not many of my friends let me set dessert on fire!

Well, I’m thinking it’s a good time for me to mosey off to bed for some TV and chill. All critters have variously been tended to. I’ll clean the cat box and take Scruffy out one last time. Hope there’s something good on the tube.

I forgot to tell you about my kitchen faucet. When I went to wash a dish last night, I pulled up on the faucet handle, and it broke off in my hand! :eek:
Today, after the Farmers Market, I ran over to Lowes and bought a new kitchen faucet, and then spent about 45 minutes when I got home removing the old faucet and installing the new. Do I know how to have fun, or what?
Oh, and those things that you see in pron films happening to plumbers while they lay under the kitchen sink? That didn’t happen. 
I did, however, get water and rust in my eyes. :eek:

Steak and fixin’s good! Chawklit Creme Brulee good. I even got to play with the torchy thingy on everyone’s Creme Brulee! WOOHOO!!! I didn’t even over torch 'em!

Much adult beverages in the form of mojitos and wine have been consumed. It is a very mild winter night with the temp right now bein’ 50 degrees Amurrkin.
Champagne has been chilled. The hot tub has been opened.

Nekkid hottubage is about to commence. Needless to say, JDD and Partner are spendin’ the night at da cave due to more than excessive adult beverage consumption. Who knows who might end up ummmm… couplin’ with whom and it wouldn’t be the first time, ahem.

Tom Kitten might be very slightly better, which is good, because he spent the whole day with a fever, lying on me and crying or sleeping. Here’s hoping the antibiotics take effect fast. I’m a little worried about dehydration because he’s not nursing and trying to convince him to take electrolyte fluid isn’t working. If he doesn’t nurse in the night we may be off to Sick Kids’ emerg for IVs. Whee!
FCM, I’ve been lying around reading the worst fantasy novel ever while holding a sick baby. I think that’s pretty wild and scary. I, also, know how to party.
A good friend who turns out to have terrible taste in books (and thinks LotR is boring and derivative) insisted we read the Dragonlance books because they’re the best thing Evar!!! and I promised to read the first one although the cover made me die inside.
Dear lord, it’s crap. It’s all written in passive! Why? And it’s all, “By the Great God alwrgldfo, it has been a long time since we stood here together at the top of this verdant rippling forest holding our axes and drinking ale! How I miss our storied days together in the great city IEWjierm when we hunted the Wyrm and gained fifteen bonus points per round of fighting!!”

Does anyone else get all panicked because they were supposed to do something, and forgot that they had? I have on multiple things tonight, like “Oh no, I was supposed to mail in my car payment this week! And…! Wait, I did that Wednesday. But I was also suppose to- no, I did that too.” I think having my first cold in eighteen months is messing with my head.

Yep, the Scruffster got me up at 0430 again. But I was able to get back to sleep till 7, huzzah! Today’s exciting events include sorting a pile of papers - I know there are a few bills buried in there and I really should pay them. I may do some laundry, too, or just take the dirties downstairs and sort them. With **FCD **gone, it’s a smaller pile. When he comes home, that’ll be a different story. He’s going to have to buy some clothes while he’s out there…

elf senior moments, well, they happen. I often check online bankin’ to make sure I’ve paid stuff. I do the :eek: did I pay the (insert name of) bill? :eek: and look to see if’n I did. This is from somebody who pays every bill on the same day each month and has done so for years.

Starting to sprinkle here, and we’re supposed to rain all day. The 7-day forexast says we’re gonna get some freezing weather later this week. :eek: 24°??? That’s what I get for smarting off yesterday, huh?
Groceries will be groced later, and I have to finish up the laundry. I live an excitin’ life, too. Oh! We’re going out to dinner tonight with Mr Rebo’s niece and nephew, and grand niece and nephew. Grand nephew is home on leave from Delaware, and wasn’t home for Christmas. That should be fun!
