Why does my iPad insert odd placed commas? Anyone.
My raise came through. A whopping 14 cents per hour. A half percent. I think it adds up to about 300 per year but my brain is mush.

Evening all. Instead of practice my girls 12u team played a makeup game and we won!! (2-1). First win of the season, so I was pretty happy and the girls were too. Gave them a team shirt I had made by one of those on-line companies (team name WILDFIRE on top of a soccer ball), so it was a good day all around.
Mac-N-Cheese has been assimilated and tackleball watched. Internettin’ and readin’ until bedtime.

Got some good news this morning. We had an appointment with a gardener canceled because he was in the hospital with a lung infection. He’s again making appointments.
We’ve been working with him and his father for 15 years, so he’s not exactly a stranger.
We’re on vacation this week. Aren’t going anywhere, but we’re getting the nooks and crannies cleaned out. Today we’re going to take a trunkload to the recycling/disposal center. Trash is burned here, and we have to pay by quantity. As we have some large items which do not fit in the bag, we have to either get stickers (9 CHF each) for the item, or take it to the center, and either pay by weight or a sticker. Not sure. We’ve been here 20 years and have never had so much stuff to get rid of, except for when we’ve replaced furniture. And that we sold.

This reminded me of my coaching days. One afternoon I showed up to practice with my Little League fast pitch softball team. My girls were 12u also. A boys baseball team showed up at the same time claiming the field. I showed the other coach the league practice schedule and he admitted that he had made a mistake. I suggested a three inning scrimmage game. He laughed at the idea. I walked him a little ways away from the kids and asked him how much cash he had on him. We recruited an umpire that had just finished another game and had at it.
I took my girls out for pizza after the next game on this guy’s losings. My girls played well…
Coming to you live at 0415. I just put a 10 lb pork butt on my smoker. I am off to stalk the wild trout tomorrow and I will take pulled pork for the guys

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 56 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 87 and N.O.S. for the day. We must lay in some provisions today. I shall check out the seafood/fish counter at the Pubic Sto’ for an idea for tonight’s sup. Maybe some fresh salmon if it looks good. I need inspiration. Outside of that I foresee a pretty chill day.
Quietly glad we can be of some help. This is a good place to ponder, complain, etc. so always feel free to do so.

I hesitate to say I broke the cycle, but I didn’t wake at 4 this morning - woohoo!! 
I may have to wrangle Roxy - SIL has a shift from 11-3, maybe. He works part time for a contractor under the state Dept of Natural Resources, counting fish. He’s assigned a list of fishermen and random days and times and he’s supposed to meet up with as many as he can when they come in from fishing. These are the charter boat captains, not just Joe Fisherman. The fishermen check in when they’re headed back to the marina and SIL needs to be there to meet them. So he’ll have an idea ahead of time whether and when he needs to go, and he’ll have to let me know whether I have to come watch Roxy or not.
Till then, I plan to have a walk when it’s light out, then head to Food Lion for some groceries. Plus last night I ordered a decorative curtain rod from Lowes and it’s ready for pickup - as it happens, Lowes is about a mile from daughter’s house and I can time my pickup accordingly. The trip to the thrift store may not happen, tho, since their plague hours have changed and they don’t open till 11. And FCD’s chair apparently is on the truck to be delivered today. We shall see…
Meanwhiile, caffeination continues. Happy Wednesday!!
Heard noises in the parking lot ca 1030pm that I took for weirdly timed fireworks (my neighbors can be inconsiderate idiots like that) being that I was half asleep at the time. DH (still awake) apparently did not think so, since he called the police. Turned out DH was right about it being gunshots. Per police, shell casings were found in the parking lot. This place was NOT so damn ghetto when we moved in!
Several nights in a row of inadequate sleep, both quantity and quality. My caffeine intake lately is beyond ridiculous.
