It's Time For A New MMP

We are in the hotel In Lumberton, NC. FCD beat us here by 2 hours. FIL was very chatty and almost his normal self. MIL slept a lot, BIL was a great help with his dad. And with luck, tomorrow will be short and sweet and I’ll be able to retrieve my car.

More on a future date - I’m too tahred right now…

Yay! Another cyborg has been created :robot: I’m glad it went well.

Our weekly rag reported on a crash that happened a couple of blocks from here.

The speed limit on the two-lane road along the beach is 25 mph.

The same publication says there’s an oyster festival in Blaine on Saturday (noon to six).

It’s beautiful. I really like the design.

You could start carrying a riding crop…

But I haven’t any jodhpurs.

In other news, I ordered a Freddy Krueger sweater and knife glove. (I have a fedora, of course.) My office is in the basement, y’see…

DH assures me that this was tried, along with a considerable number of other options. Nothing short of a tow truck worked.

@Johnny_L.A

Doesn’t everyone?

:clap:t3::clap:t3::clap:t3::clap:t3::clap:t3:

wet one, happy for your BIL and Sister, glad things went well, hope it helps a lot.

Nettie, that looks like a “it seemed like a good idea at the time” problem. Glad they got it out OK.

No fedora here, hippie, I do have a Panama hat from Miami. And lovely work.

Flyboy, read about that in the “stupid people” thread on the BBQ Pit, never realized it was that close. Glad you weren’t out walking that way at the time.

Dog would have been well-fed, at least…

And hope the therapist and you hit it off fine. And yeah! to workplace for giving a damn about you…lots of places wouldn’t.

Boo Fae, tranferring all my positive waves to you friend and her mother, sounds like they can use some.

Soccer coached, but game Saturday was cancelled (other team had too many players out). Gym followed by nappage (I’ve taken to setting the alarm so nappage doesn’t turn into sleepage). Have the tackleball game on Amazon in the background, so that should keep me amused for a little while.

Everybody have a good night/morning and I’ll catch you on Firday.

I walked up the beach a month ago. I decided there was too much traffic, and would continue walking down the heach.

Happy Thorsday!

I thought I’d be in bed by 8, but that’s not happening.

My son got out at 320 this morning. I got home and thought I’d go back to bed for 2 hours.
I slept through 2 alarms, woke up long enough to text Lucy dad that I wasn’t coming, and didn’t wake up until 830.
It felt good.

Taters, I hope you can get some sleep.

I was on the phone a lot, people calling and texting to see if I was okay.

I talked with the gutter people, nothing too bad. My downspout is not normal so they have to special order the right kind and it will cost me a bit more money. I don’t care about that, just fix it.
They said a week to ten days.

My aunt is doing better. She can’t come home yet, but she is okay.

Well, FlyBoy, I hope the idiot isn’t released from jail again. Obviously, he can’t handle freedom and it would be cruel to impose it on him again.

Happy Towing Nettie.
I always wonder how people get into things they can’t get back out of, but it happens.

Nice work as always, Hippie

I hope your trip home goes smoothly, FCM

{{{BooFae}}}

Glad it went well for your Bil, WetOne.

Thank y’all for the kind words.
I feel bad because some of you are going through a lot worse, I think.

If something happens to me, my son can care for the dogs and cat.
If something happens to both of us, I have park friends who will be fighting over who gets the dogs and the cat. Any of them are fine by me, their babies are more spoiled than mine.

Once my son gets his license, I can stop worrying over what will happen to him if something happens to me.

Oh, gosh, you are going to have SO much fun learning about it.

Closed canvas=even weave fabric like Aida or linen. Open canvas=needlepoint or net weave fabric.

That blending filament is so slippery that it will be challenging to keep it in your needle. I just tie the end to the eye of my needle and then cut or burn the knot off when I’m done with the thread.

Sorry swampy, I just can’t help myself at times!

HURRAY!!!

And you are such a good and loving wife that you shared pictures of his shame for the world to mock, LOL. Hubs got a good laugh out of it

Those are wonderful and must take a lot of patience. I imagine you spend a lot of time ironing, do you have a small craft iron handy to your work area?

As far as your work not being as perfect as you would like…that just means you need more practice. Isn’t it great that you can now spend your days practicing your art!

It sounds like everything went as well as possible. Hopefully you will report the same tomorrow.

Boo Fae, getting whammied like that is horrible. I hope everyone finds peace soon.

I’m cracking up over here, I didn’t know you had that much snark in you, LOLOL!

When hubs traded his trike in, he had a desired result…20 grand in the bank and another Harley to putt around on. That happened and he even made 700 more than he had expected.

I can’t allow him to have that much money just laying around, so we went to town and I finally bought a rocking recliner that fits me. My feets touch the floor and everything, pretty cool. I picked a cranberry color which will contrast nicely with our hunter green color wall.

Of course the store had beautiful decorating accessories and they had the most wonderous steampunk standing clock with a large hourglass in the center of the pillar. I wish I had taken a picture to share with you guys but I thought I could find a better one on the Lazy boy website. Sadly, you will have to take my word for its magnificence. We could have brought it home for the low price of 1750.00 and hubs having a heart attack over paying that much for a clock.

We were close to a fairly good mexican place so we went there for a late lunch. The last time we were there a Crumbl store was having their grand opening and the line was at least half a block long. Of course we just had to see what kind of cookie was worth standing in the Arizona sun for half an hour and had to go in the store. We paid 4.95 for a big chocolate chip cookie which came in it’s own bakery box. It was a good cookie. We won’t be going back.

We have the disposition of our pets written into our will. The person who will be caring for our cats if we go first will live rent free in our home with all utility, food and vet bills coming from a trust and will receive 10 grand a year for expenses. Once the last cat is dead, the house will be sold and everything will be split between our nieces and nephews.

That way the cats can live their lives out in their home and their caretaker has motivation to keep them healthy.

If we both drop dead at home, the cats will have plenty to eat until someone notices we are missing and comes knocking on the door.

Hd a martini and some Bojangles seasoned chicken for dinner.

I have a bowler

Yay!

I did some PT tonight. The Spousal Unit got out her heating pad, and I heated my hand for 10 minutes. Then I flattened my fingers for 30 seconds, then curled my fingers for 30 seconds, and repeated five times.

What my friend most needed my help with was–gulp–hanging pictures. Due to my vision issues, I’m not too good at hanging pictures so they’re straight, but we managed. I told her if anyone says they’re crooked, she should tell 'em to lean the other way.

They looked OK to me. I actually like your version better.

Wetone, so glad to hear it!

flyboy, hope the PT helps. Curses on the ex-con going stupid fast. :OVE the Freddy Krueger idea!

Some of us have a genius for stuff like this. I can see something like this happening to me.

I have a cowboy hat.

I have a very well worn boonie hat and a nice flowered sun hat for going to fancy places. I have an Elmer Fudd hat and a modified one with a bill. I used to have more hats but hubs is a meany who thinks that the hat shelf in his closet belongs to him, so my collection had to shrink down to the hats I actually use.

The neighbor that we don’t get along with because he neglects his dogs so badly just backed out of his driveway and hit a different neighbor while she was checking her mail. He’s claiming it was her fault because she has a dark blue SUV and he couldn’t see it, she’s giving it right back about her lights working and him not looking. (He doesn’t look, he jumps in his truck and pulls right out without ever turning his head to look behind him. This is the fourth time he’s hit someone doing that, thankfully nobody has ever gotten hurt.)

Hubs called 911 and I’m really hoping that someone shows up before she runs his stupid ass over.

One might think that we live on a busy street with all the traffic accidents that happen around here, I’m actually wondering if Christine is moldering in someone’s backyard. This is redneck country afterall.

He’s hit people backing out his driveway 4 times? The police definitely need to get involved. Is the dinosaur still in your neighbor’s yard?

I live in a Red Sox cap (there’s a whole system, I buy a standard and an alternate at the beginning of each season. If they win, same hat, lose, different hat. I changed hats a lot this year.) have a fedora, a trilby, several page boys, and a leather pork pie. That’s to go along with all the winter hats that don’t count.

Read lots, retained a bit, too tired to respond. That, above, was the extent of my interaction with people today.

Love to all of you.
