Malahoth is acting very odd , sure he has admitted scum, just gave up way too easily . Outlandish notion he is the town mandatory big and realizes he has no good targets and likely to hit town so getting himself lynched.
Other thoughts is he is a Scotsman type role and can survive one lynch. He and Dante were piling on octarine, does this clear octarine , or scum bussing scum?
Way back in terminator mafia I as a jester, but that was a recruitment role, which we know isn’t in play here.
Lots of complex possibilities, but the simplest is best , Malahoth is scum. I still think DanteG is as well , Malahoth was not at all suspicious of him.
Then again it has been a loooooong time since we had a classic scum bus, maybe this is it?
Assuming Mahaloth really is scum, it’s a really bad play for him to give up so quickly. He didn’t have an insurmountable lead in the votes, it wasn’t all that obvious that he was the right choice, and now Town has had a chance to start the Day 4 discussion before the Wolves get to make another kill.
If he’s not scum, it’s just crazy!
Ah, OK. People forgetting when the Day ends have had a major impact on this game.
Don’tcha hate it when that happens?
[But what’s really important is that Hooker has nearly caught up with me in number of posts. :)]
So role blocker, I wonder if they stopped the second kill by guessing who the vig was?
Anyway I still think DanteG is scum mc scum of scum town. Vig , go kill!
I’m not loving TexCat’s case against Hooker. The whole Prof. P nonsense is actually a Town tell to me more than a scum tell. I’d have to look at the timing of Hooker’s posts with relation to the vote counts, but the idea that a scummy Hooker would defend a scummy Prof P when the chances of Prof P getting lynched were very very high is unfathomable to me. Why would scum do such a thing? What advantage does it bring? Sure it “worked” in the sense that Prof P didn’t get lynched, but at what cost? The potential costs far outweigh the potential gain.
It is more probable, from my point of view, that Hooker was defending Prof. P because he honestly thought the case against Prof P was weak. Townies do that, and Townies are sometimes (often!) wrong.
This may have been another time to raise the whole, lets leave an admitted scum malahoth alive for the vig to deal with, and lynch someone else to day, discussion.
No doubt it would have been decried as 'the scummiest idea ever" , but interesting to see what happens. if the vig got blocked , or was a one shot vig, they could always lynch him tomorrow. A confirmed alive scum can be ignored.
Maybe, but Town always fears a scum might just have a key power role, and so wants him deady-deady-dead as soon as possible.
If there was no apparent vig-kill last Night, there’s no reason to presuppose a successful vig kill toNight. Town shouldn’t get too cute, they should take the free wolf lynch
I strongly pro for that strategy, but I’ve long since given up on it ever happening. It is a good idea, but in practice it hardly ever works out.
I’m finding myself agreeing with you here, sachertorte. I’m still having a hard time with Hooker, same last game, but I didn’t find TexCat’s case very convincing.
If it’s clear that a player is scum, I’d rather just get it confirmed, to be honest. “Moving on…”, more or less.
Oh, and a warm welcome to Mahaloth!
Hey, folks.
I hardly think I’m apathetic or even that small of a poster. This is getting to the point of memetic, where folks just accept it without it necessarily being true. I post enough to get my thoughts across. In 6-6 1/2 years of playing, I’ve only heard this concept about me the past year or so.
I post! I think! I vote! Hear me!
You’re right, Mahaloth. Having played with you in 3 games straight, I can vouch that your posts may border on the terse and taciturn, but the content is always there.
Well, I think you were pretty light on substance this game. Nothing to be said against your contributions in Dante’s game, though. In story’s game you died pretty early, so I don’t feel comfortable making any judgements about you based on that.
Nah. Then again, I was working against Town, so who knows?
Hehe.
Wow, the wolves are doing well with their night kills. Maybe they have some investigative role.
